Systems and methods for generating a patterned orthotic device
A method for generating an orthotic device is disclosed. In one implementation, the method includes generating CAD model data corresponding to an orthotic device to be applied to a body part of a patient. A pattern is mapped to a surface defined by the CAD model data to produce modified CAD model data, the mapped pattern defining a plurality of perforations formed at least partially through the surface. The modified CAD model data is transmitted to a three-dimensional printer. The three-dimensional printer is to produce the orthotic device having the plurality of perforations.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND APPARATUS FOR MODELLING FEET AND SELECTING FOOTWEAR
One aspect of this disclosure is a method comprising: receiving, from a camera, a video feed depicting a pair of feet and a scaling object; capturing, with the camera, images of the feet and the scaling object based on the video feed; identifying foot features in each captured image; determining camera positions for each captured image by triangulating the foot features; generating a point cloud in a three-dimensional space by positioning each foot feature in the three-dimensional space based on the camera positions; scaling the point cloud based on the scaling object; segmenting the point cloud into at least a right-foot cluster and a left-foot cluster; fitting a first three-dimensional morphable model to the right-foot cluster according to first foot parameters; and fitting a second three-dimensional morphable model to the left-foot cluster according to second foot parameters. Related systems, apparatus, and methods also are described.
Method for design of insoles
The invention provides an algorithm-driven method that uses a set of mathematical techniques and numerical procedures to carry out an automatic design for therapeutic insoles. Objectives of the invention include relieving soft tissue overpressure, aligning bone segments and redistributing loads located in specific zones of the foot.
System and method for identifying physical properties of feet
The present invention is a system and method for identifying certain physical properties of human feet. The system uses electronic and optical elements to perform before and after pronation test and before and after arch tests (meaning before and after use of an orthotic), and develop a 360 degree, three-dimensional view of the foot. It includes an insertable shoe-simulator used to assist in providing before- and after analysis of pronation.
METHOD, APPARATUS, AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM FOR GENERATING A SET OF RECOMMENDED ORTHOTIC PRODUCTS
In an embodiment, the present invention is an apparatus, comprising: a foot mat; a depth sensing camera; an elevated foot platform that reduces or prevents rotational movement of a foot; a processor in communication with the depth sensing camera, the processor further configured to calculate the circumference of a user's leg based on data from the depth sensing camera while the user has one foot on the foot mat and one foot on the elevated foot platform, the processor further configured to select a recommended product for the user's knee or ankle from among a set of pre-manufactured candidate products for knees or ankles based at least in part upon the leg circumference of the user; and an output device to display information received from the processor, the information identifying the recommended product to the user.
Method of measuring the shape and dimensions of human body parts
This invention belongs to measurement methods that can be used in light industry, when measuring the shape and size of the human body parts. Disclosed is a method, over the course of which, based on a series of photographs an image of a flat object of known shape and size is identified on each photograph. The body part area is isolated from the background in the image, and the area of an arbitrary body that does not belong to the projection of the human body part is cut out. Also disclosed is a method for searching an image of a flat object of known shape and size, its projection, and the camera location and orientation, over the course of which the predicted image of the flat object is compared to the real on. Here, the particle dynamics technique is used for isolating a human body part from the image background.
Foot Measuring and Sizing Application
Systems and processes for measuring and sizing a foot are provided. In one exemplary process, at least one image of a foot and a horizontal reference object from a first point of view is captured. A portion of the foot may be disposed against a vertical reference object. The at least one image may be displayed, where one or more camera guides are overlaid on the at least one displayed image. In response to aligning the one or more camera guides with one or more of the horizontal reference object and the vertical reference object, a measurement of the foot based on the at least one captured image from the first point of view is determined.
Property control and configuration based on floor contact monitoring
A monitoring system that is configured to monitor a property is disclosed. The monitoring system includes a sensor that is configured to generate sensor data that indicates an attribute of the property; a floor sensor that is configured to generate floor sensor data that indicates an amount of pressure applied to a portion of a floor of the property; and a monitor control unit. The monitor control unit is configured to receive, from the sensor, the sensor data; receive, from the floor sensor, the floor sensor data; analyze the sensor data and the floor sensor data; and based on analyzing the sensor data and the floor sensor data, perform a monitoring system action.
Device for analyzing athletic posture and method for generating analyzing information for athletic posture
Disclosed is an athletic posture analysis device including a pressure sensor plate for measuring the distribution of pressure applied to each of the feet of a user who performs an athletic action by the weight of the user, a display device for displaying athletic posture analysis information of the user, and a controller for performing control so as to specify the size and position of each of the feet of the user using information measured by the pressure sensor plate, to map a predetermined foot image, and to display the mapped foot image and the information regarding the distribution of pressure applied to each of the feet of the user in an overlapping fashion through the display device.
