Other improvements relate to the structure of the tools used during a procedure and how the tools can be controlled using the OTT device. Still other improvements relate to methods of providing feedback during a procedure to improve either the efficiency or quality, or both, for a procedure including the rate of and type of data processed depending upon a CAS mode.
Measurement support device, endoscope system, processor for endoscope system, and measurement support method for measuring object size
Provided are a measurement support device, an endoscope system, a processor for an endoscope system, and a measurement support method capable of easily and highly accurately measuring the size of a subject. In the measurement support device related to one aspect of the invention, the position of a spot by measurement auxiliary light is measured, and information indicating the actual size of a subject is acquired on the basis of the measurement result to create and display a marker. Moreover, an optical axis of the measurement auxiliary light has an inclination angle that is not 0 degrees with respect to an optical axis of the imaging optical system in a case where the optical axis of the measurement auxiliary light is projected on a plane including the optical axis of the imaging optical system.
LAPAROSCOPIC BOWEL LENGTH INDICATING DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE
A measuring device and methods of use for measuring a section of a bowel of a patient. The measuring device includes a tubular section having a longitudinal axis and at least one wing normally projecting outward transverse to the longitudinal axis. The tubular section is configured for mounting on a conventional or robotic laparoscopic grasper adjacent the grasper's movable jaws. The at least one wing is are pivotable to a closed position so that grasper with the measuring device mounted thereon can be inserted through a conventional trocar, whereupon the at least one wing projects outward transversely to the longitudinal axis. The at least one wing is of a predetermined length to serve as a measurement tool enabling a surgeon to measure off a desired length of the bowel.
Image-guided transseptal puncture device
Provided herein is a catheter assembly including an imaging device for identifying an anatomical structure. The catheter assembly includes a patient cannula configured to be drawn along a catheter or guide wire; a transseptal puncture catheter at least partially enclosed within the patient cannula; and an imaging catheter. The imaging catheter includes a transducer configured to emit an energy beam capable of reflecting from an anatomical structure and to detect energy reflected from the structure. The catheter assembly also includes a transmitter for conveying a signal representative of the detected energy from the transducer to a signal processor for obtaining information about the structure. An imagining system and a method for identifying a predetermined transseptal puncture location on an atrial septum are also provided herein.
Offset illumination of a scene using multiple emitters in a hyperspectral, fluorescence, and laser mapping imaging system
Offset illumination using multiple emitters in a fluorescence imaging system is described. A system includes an emitter for emitting pulses of electromagnetic radiation and an image sensor comprising a pixel array for sensing reflected electromagnetic radiation. The emitter comprises a first emitter and a second emitter for emitting different wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation. The system is such that at least a portion of the pulses of electromagnetic radiation emitted by the emitter comprises one or more of a hyperspectral emission, a fluorescence emission, and/or a laser mapping pattern.
Deployment of Sensors
A system is provided for deployment of a sensor in a blood vessel comprising: an expandable sensor; at least one anchor element attached to the sensor; an expandable element configured within the sensor such that, in use, expansion of the expandable element causes the sensor to radially expand to fix the at least one anchor element in a wall of the blood vessel.
