EDGE HANDLING METHODS FOR ASSOCIATED DEPTH SENSING CAMERA DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
20230410343 · 2023-12-21 ·

The present technology relates to the field of medical monitoring, and, in particular, to non-contact detecting and monitoring of patient breathing. Systems, methods, and computer readable media are described for calculating a change in depth of a region of interest (ROI) on a patient. In some embodiments, the systems, methods, and/or computer readable media can identify steep changes in depths. For example, the systems, methods, and/or computer readable media can identify large, inaccurate changes in depths that can occur at edge regions of a patient. In these and other embodiments, the systems, methods, and/or computer readable media can adjust the identified steep changes in depth before determining one or more patient respiratory parameters.

APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR MONITORING PHYSIOLOGICAL SIGNS

An apparatus, system, and method monitors the motion, breathing, heart rate and sleep state of subjects, e.g., humans, in a convenient, non-invasive/non-contact, and low-cost fashion. More particularly, the motion, breathing, and heart rate signals are obtained through processing applied to a raw signal obtained in a non-contact fashion, typically using a radio-frequency sensor. Periods of sleep disturbed respiration, or central apnea can be detected through analysis of the respiratory signal. The mean heart rate, and derived information, such as the presence of cardiac arrhythmias can be determined from the cardiac signal. Motion estimates can be used to recognize disturbed sleep and periodic limb movements. The sleep state may be determined by applying a classifier model to the resulting streams of respiratory, cardiac and motion data. A means for display of the sleep state, respiratory, cardiac, and movement status may also be provided.

CPR assist device for measuring compression parameters during cardiopulmonary resuscitation
10952926 · 2021-03-23 · ·

A device for the determination of at least one compression parameter during administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a patient comprising: a field generator, a field detector, and a processor. Position information and the compression parameter are determined from the field detected by the field detector. One of the field generator and the field detector is a position sensor and the other is a reference sensor.

Hand mounted CPR chest compression monitor

A chest compression monitor for measuring the depth of chest compressions achieved during CPR. A displacement detector produces a displacement signal indicative of the displacement of the CPR recipient's chest toward the recipient's spine. A signaling mechanism provides chest compression indication signals prompting a CPR provider to provide a chest compression force at a desired depth and rate. The device is held to the dorsal surface of the hand during use and provides a display for feedback, which is readily visible to the CPR provider.

Method and device for identifying a subject in a sensor based monitoring system

The invention relates to a method and device for identifying a subject in a sensor based monitoring system. This method comprises an acquisition step wherein sensors of a sensor array acquire subject related sensor signals, a pattern extraction step wherein a signal pattern is derived from the sensor signals acquired in the preceding acquisition step, and an identification step wherein the signal pattern derived in the preceding pattern extraction step is compared to predetermined signal patterns, each predetermined signal pattern being related to a subject profile, to identify a subject profile whose predetermined signal pattern related thereto matches the derived signal pattern.

Method and system for adaptive image guided intervention

A method and system for generating imaging data during a medical intervention are provided. An external optical sensor is attached on the patient's body, and includes at least one external orientation fiber core configured to measure an orientation of the external optical sensor relative to a point of reference. The external optical sensor is interrogated to generate external sensor orientation information during the medical intervention. That information is used to estimate an orientation of the external optical sensor, which is then displayed during the medical intervention.

MANIPULATION OF A RESPIRATORY MODEL VIA ADJUSTMENT OF PARAMETERS ASSOCIATED WITH MODEL IMAGES
20210049764 · 2021-02-18 ·

A method and apparatus for manipulation of a respiratory model via adjustment of parameters associated with model images is described. The method includes identifying one of more images of a plurality of images that are used with a previously generated model associated with a position and motion of a targeted region of a patient to receive radiation treatment. The method also includes generating, by a processing device, a new model to be associated with the position and motion of the targeted region based on a selection that is associated with one of the one or more images of the plurality of images, wherein the new model is a relationship between a series of internal features and external marker positions. The method further includes delivering radiation to the targeted region based on the new model.
