OBTAINMENT OF CLEANED SEQUENCES RELATING TO A CENTER OF GRAVITY
20200146633 · 2020-05-14 ·

Methods and systems are provided for obtaining cleaned sequences showing trajectories of movement of a center of gravity and for estimating a biometric information pattern or value of a target. One of the methods includes removing noises from initial sequences showing trajectories of movement of a center of gravity to obtain the cleaned sequences. Another one of the methods includes reading cleaned sequences of the target into a memory, extracting features from the cleaned sequences, and estimating a biometric information pattern or value of the target from the extracted features, using a classification or regression model of biometric information patterns or values. The biometric information pattern may be a pattern derived from respiratory or circulatory organs of a target.

A method includes delivering, via a first stimulation element and during a treatment period, stimulation to an upper airway patency-related nerve to cause contraction of upper airway patency-related muscles. The method also may include delivering upon detecting central sleep apnea behavior, via a second stimulation element and during a treatment period, stimulation to a central sleep apnea-related nerve. The method also may include delivering the stimulation to the upper airway patency-related nerve independently of a decisional process and trigger to deliver stimulation to the different central sleep apnea-related nerve.

Personal genome information environment providing device, personal genome information environment providing method, and computer program product

The present invention acquires self-tracking information obtained by integrating habit information and biological signal information. Based on personal genome information and the acquired self-tracking information, characteristic information about characteristics of a user is acquired, and the acquired characteristic information is output.

Cable and associated continuity monitoring system and method

A cable, an associated monitoring system and methods are provided which monitor the continuity of current of electrical components such as sensor signals from sensors used in connection with a medical apparatus. The cable includes a proximal end for coupling with a processing unit and a distal end with or for coupling to sensors. The processing unit generates a continuity signal that travels through the cable via an inductor coil conductor to a distal end inductor coil which imparts the signal to sensor signal conductors of the cable. The continuity signal is carried back to the processing unit with signals from the sensors. Circuitry of the processing unit can detect the returning continuity signals to indicate proper connectivity of the sensor signals. The connection status information of the sensors can be displayed to inform a doctor or other operator of the medical apparatus of sensor signal continuity.

System and method for geometrically-resolved radiographic X-ray imaging

A method of generating a 3D x-ray image cube movie from 2D x-ray images of a patient is provided. The method includes converting first multiple sets of x-ray images of a lung captured at different projection angles into second multiple sets of x-ray images of the lung corresponding to different breathing phases. The method further includes generating a static image cube from each set of the second multiple sets of x-ray images at a respective breathing phase using back projection. The method includes combining the static image cubes corresponding to the different breathing phases of the lung into a 3D x-ray image cube movie through temporal interpolation.

DETECTING CHANGES IN ATTRIBUTES OF A HUMAN OR ANIMAL BODY
20200141819 · 2020-05-07 ·

Attributes of a human or animal body are detected by the generation and detection of an electric field. A laminated membrane (202), connected to a control circuit, is placed over an electrically conductive ground-plane (201). An upper-mattress (203) is placed above this for supporting a human or animal body. To improve the response of the detector, a response-enhancement-layer (204) of a substantially electrically non-conducting compressible-material containing electrically-conductive-particles, such as carbon particles, is located between the laminated-membrane (202) and the upper-mattress (203).

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING BREATHING STATUS OF PERSON USING DEPTH CAMERA

Provided are a method and an apparatus for determining a breathing status of a person using a depth camera. The method of determining a breathing status of a person using a depth camera may include acquiring a depth map by photographing one side of a person using a depth camera, extracting a region of the person by separating a background from the acquired depth map, extracting a breathing region from the extracted region of the person, obtaining a depth value for each point of the extracted breathing region for a preset time, and determining a breathing status including a volume of breathing and the number of the breathings by analyzing the obtained depth value. Therefore, it is possible to accurately determine the breathing status of the person in a non-contact manner.

Systems and methods for controlling position

Systems and methods for assessing compliance with position therapy. In an embodiment, position therapy is provided to a user while the user is wearing a position therapy device. The position therapy comprises, by the device, collecting positional data, determining positions of the user over a time period based on the positional data, and, when it is determined that the user is in a target position, providing feedback to the user to influence the user to change to a non-target position. In addition, the device stores a duration of use in its memory. The duration of use indicates a duration that the user has used the wearable position therapy device in each of one or more positions. An assessment of the user's compliance with the position therapy is then provided based, at least in part, on the duration of use.

Systems and methods of identifying motion of a subject

Systems and methods of identifying medical disorders in one or more subjects are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, sound is transmitted toward a subject and at least a portion of the sound reflected by the subject and is acquired as echo data. The acquired echo data is used to generate a motion waveform having a plurality of peaks detected therein. At feast a portion of the plurality of peaks may be indicative of movement of the subject. One or more medical disorders in the subject can be identified based on, for example, time durations and/or amplitude changes between peaks detected in the motion waveform.
