Obtainment of cleaned sequences relating to a center of gravity
Methods and systems are provided for obtaining cleaned sequences showing trajectories of movement of a center of gravity and for estimating a biometric information pattern or value of a target. One of the methods includes removing noises from initial sequences showing trajectories of movement of a center of gravity to obtain the cleaned sequences. Another one of the methods includes reading cleaned sequences of the target into a memory, extracting features from the cleaned sequences, and estimating a biometric information pattern or value of the target from the extracted features, using a classification or regression model of biometric information patterns or values. The biometric information pattern may be a pattern derived from respiratory or circulatory organs of a target.
Systems, apparatus, and methods for detection and monitoring of chronic sleep disorders
An apparatus for monitoring a sleep parameter of a user includes an adhesive pad configured to conform to a surface of the user and a flexible element coupled to the adhesive pad. The flexible element includes a conductive fabric, and exhibits a modified electrical property in response to an applied force. The apparatus also includes a power source electrically coupled to the flexible element, and an electrical circuit electrically coupled to the power source and the flexible conductive element. The electrical circuit is configured to detect, during use, a change in an electrical property of the flexible element.

System and method for measuring infant weight
An infant sleep device may include a platform for supporting an infant, a base upon which the platform is supported, and one or more weight sensors positioned to measure weight of an infant positioned on the platform.
Measurement of vital signs based on images recorded by an egocentric camera
A method for determining one or more vital signs of a person includes recording video images of a scene with an egocentric camera coupled to the person's body, detecting and magnifying image frame-to-image frame movements in the video images of the scene, representing the magnified image frame-to-image frame movements in the video images of the scene by a one-dimensional (1D) amplitude-versus-time series, and transforming the 1D amplitude-versus-time series representation into a frequency spectrum. The method further includes identifying one or more local frequency maxima in the frequency spectrum as corresponding to one or more vital signs of the person.
RESPIRATION DETECTION
Methods and/or devices to determine patient respiration information are disclosed which comprise sensing acceleration.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR REDUCING FALSE DECLARATIONS OF ARRYTHMIAS
Computer implemented methods and systems are provided that comprise, under control of one or more processors of a medical device, where the one or more processors are configured with specific executable instructions. The methods and systems obtain motion data indicative of at least one of a posture or a respiration cycle; obtain cardiac activity (CA) signals for a series of beats; identify whether a characteristic of interest (COI) from at least a first segment of the CA signals exceeds a COI limit; analyze the motion data to determine whether at least one of the posture or respiration cycle at least in part caused the COI to exceed the COI limit. Based on the analyzing operation, the methods and systems automatically adjust a CA sensing parameter utilized by the medical device to detect R-waves in subsequent CA signals; and detect an arrhythmia based on a presence or absence of one or more of the R-waves in at least a second segment of the CA signals.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING FEEDING MATURATION
A method for monitoring feeding maturation in premature babies, the method including measuring an acoustic response from a baby during a selected time period to provide acoustic information; comparing the measured acoustic response against a train data set to determine an indication of a swallow event; and measuring a respiration pattern of the baby during a swallow cycle using a peak and valley model to provide respiration data, where a feeding maturity of the baby is determinable in dependence on the swallow indication and respiration data.

ACOUSTIC SENSOR AND VENTILATION MONITORING SYSTEM
A method of monitoring physiological conditions including an acoustic measurement device and a remote controller. The remove controller configured to measure physiological conditions; calculate absolute tidal volume, a direction of tidal volume, and a rate of change of tidal volume; correlate absolute tidal volume, a direction of tidal volume, and a rate of change of tidal volume to a risk score; calculate a direction trend and rate of change for each physiological condition; correlate the direction trend and rate of change for each physiological condition; detect predefined patterns in the direction trend and rate of change of the measured physiological condition at the predetermined interval; and generating at least one from the group consisting of an alert, an alarm, and a medical treatment if the risk score defined on the predefined scale exceeds a first predetermined risk score threshold and at least one predefined pattern is detected.
