Lighting device and imaging device

A lighting device is provided in which a head part is allowed to be driven relative to a main unit in a horizontal circular direction and in a vertical circular direction separately without the need for increasing a space for the layout of the main unit and the like. The lighting device of the present invention includes a driving unit (7) connecting a main unit (3) and a head part (6). The driving unit (7) includes first and second motors, a first power transmission mechanism that rotates the driving unit (7) in a horizontal circular direction (the direction of an arrow F) with the driving force of the first motor, and a second power transmission mechanism that rotates the driving unit (7) in a vertical circular direction (the direction of an arrow B) with the driving force of the second motor. With this configuration, the head part (6) is allowed to be driven relative to the main unit (3) in the horizontal circular direction and the vertical circular direction separately, without the need for increasing a space for the layout of the main unit (3) and the like.

System and method for adding auxiliary lights to a camera to create fluorescence in selected features of a captured image

A system and method for capturing images of an object upon which retroreflective materials have been applied, wherein at least some of the retroreflective materials appear to glow in the image or video being captured. An array of LEDs is provided that operates in different color frequency ranges. The color frequency ranges correspond to the reflectivity profile of the retroreflective materials that are applied to the object being imaged. The LEDs are attached to the camera, wherein the LEDs shine light in a same direction as the line of sight of the camera. The LEDs being activated during image capture can be varied. The light from the colored sets of LEDs causes retroreflective materials to appear. When recorded with the camera, the resulting images cause the retroreflective materials to glowing brightly in contrast to other objects in the captured image.

Shoe device and accessory having shoe device

A shoe device of an accessory that secures necessary functions and mechanical strength when the accessory is used with attaching to an electronic apparatus and that improves convenience during use when the accessory is used without attaching to an electronic apparatus. An engagement member is attachable to and detachable from an accessory shoe device of an electronic apparatus by sliding in a first direction. A holding member holds the engagement member. An attachment part is provided in the engagement member or the holding member and allows attachment of a member different from the accessory shoe device. A connection member has connection terminals arranged in a second direction that intersects perpendicularly with the first direction and is arranged in a front of the holding member in the first direction. The attachment part is provided behind the connection terminals in the first direction.

ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND ACCESSORY

An electronic apparatus includes a plurality of contacts electrically connectable to an accessory and arranged in a first direction orthogonal to a direction in which the accessory is attached. The contacts include an attachment detection contact to detect an attachment of the accessory to the electronic apparatus, and a communication request contact for a communication request from the accessory to the electronic apparatus. The attachment detection and communication request contacts are disposed between a contact closest one end and a contact closest to another end in the first direction. The attachment detection contact is disposed between the communication request contact and the contact closest to the one end. In the first direction, a distance between the attachment detection contact and the communication request contact is shorter than that between the communication request contact and the contact closest to the other end.

A shoe apparatus includes an engagement portion with an accessory shoe apparatus included in an electronic apparatus, a plurality of connection terminals, where a first direction is an attachment direction to the accessory shoe apparatus, which are arranged in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and located on a front side of the engagement portion in the attachment direction, and a connector that includes protrusion portions that protrude in a third direction orthogonal to the first and second directions on both outer sides of the plurality of connection terminals in the second direction. The protrusion portion includes a slope portion on a side that does not face the plurality of connection terminals such that a width in the second direction at a position of a tip in the third direction is narrower than a width at a position away from the tip.

ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND ACCESSORY

An electronic apparatus detachably attached to an accessory via an accessory shoe includes contacts electrically connectable to the accessory via the accessory shoe and arranged in a row. The contacts include a first signal contact used to transmit a data signal in a communication between the electronic apparatus and accessory, a second signal contact used to transmit a clock signal in synchronization with the data signal in the communication, and a third signal contact used to receive a communication request signal from the accessory. The first and second signal contacts are arranged next to each other. The third signal contact is disposed on an opposite side of the second signal contact with respect to the first signal contact. A transmission of the data signal via the first signal contact is executed in response to a reception of the communication request signal via the third signal contact.
