SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING AND RECORDING AUDITORY STEADY-STATE RESPONSES WITH A SPEECH-LIKE STIMULUS
A diagnostic system for recording auditory steady-state responses of a person comprises a) a stimulation unit for providing an acoustic stimulus signal to an ear of the person, and b) a recording unit for recording the auditory steady-state responses of the person origination from said acoustic stimulus signal, wherein the stimulation unit is configured to provide that the acoustic stimulus signal comprises a speech-like stimulus provided as a combination of a series of individual frequency-specific stimuli, each having a specified, e.g. predetermined, frequency bandwidth, presentation rate, amplitude and amplitude-modulation. The application further relates to a combined system comprising a diagnostic system and a hearing aid. The invention may e.g. be used for diagnostic instruments for verifying the fitting of a hearing aid.
Retractor systems with sensors
A retractor system includes a retractor with an oximeter sensor at its tip and a force sensor coupled to the retractor. The retractor system also includes a system unit which can send signals to and receive signals from the oximeter sensor via optical fibers. The oximeter sensor measures oxygen saturation of a tissue being retracted by the retractor, and the force sensor measures an amount of force that is applied to the retracted tissue by the tip of the retractor. Another retractor system has a closed loop control arrangement with a positioning mechanism which moves the retractor based on measurements of the sensors.
Hearing diagnostic system
Herein disclosed is a system that may be implemented within a headphone to facilitate hearing testing. Implementation of the system in the headphone may include implementation of tone generation circuitry and sound pressure level measurement circuitry being implemented in the headphone limiting the amount of calibration for accurate measurement when performing a hearing test.

Speech production and the management/prediction of hearing loss
A method, including obtaining hearing data and speech data for a statistically significant number of individuals, and analyzing the obtained hearing data and speech data using a neural network to develop a predictive algorithm for hearing loss based on the results of the analysis, wherein the predictive algorithm predicts hearing loss based on input indicative of speech of a hearing impaired person who is not one of the individuals.
DISPLAY SYSTEM, DEVICE, AND METHOD
An assembly and method for updating a display assembly of a control panel is disclosed with optimal uniform illumination. In some instances, embodiments include efficient and cost effective methods for upgrading display assemblies without having to completely overhaul the electrical, mechanical, or wiring components already existing within the control panel.
HEARING DEVICE COMPRISING A SENSOR CONFIGURATION DETECTOR
A hearing device, e.g. a hearing aid, comprises first and second hearing device parts having separate first and second housings and being electrically connectable by a connecting element. The second hearing device part is available in a multitude of variants. The connecting element comprises an electric cable comprising a multitude of electric conductors, and a first electric connector comprising a multitude of first electric termination elements. The second hearing device part comprises a loudspeaker, and/or a number of sensors each providing an electric sensor signal representative of a current property of the environment of the hearing device and/or a current state of the user wearing the hearing device. The first hearing device part comprises a configuration extractor electrically connected to said second hearing device part via said connecting element and adapted to identify a current configuration of sensors in said second hearing device part.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TESTING HEARING ABILITY
The present invention concerns a method for the detection of distortion products of otoacoustic emissions (DPOAE), comprising the steps: (a) output of at least one first pair of primary tones each consisting of a first primary tone with frequency f.sub.1,1 and sound pressure level L.sub.1,1 and a second primary tone with frequency f.sub.2,1 and sound pressure level L.sub.2,1 with f.sub.2,1>f.sub.1,1, and (b) detecting evoked distortion products of otoacoustic emissions (DPOAE), characterized in that the first primary tone {f.sub.1,1, L.sub.1,1} is output with a time delay t.sub.lag after the second primary tone {f.sub.2,1, L.sub.2,1}.
Method and apparatus for automated detection of suppression of TEOAE by contralateral acoustic stimulation
The invention is directed to a method of generating and measuring transiently evoked otoacoustic emissions (TEOAE) acoustic signals generated in the cochlea using a scheme of stimulating both inner ears simultaneously, left ear alone, and right ears alone with at least two different first and second averaging buffers per ear in a switching scheme with automated detection of contralateral suppression of TEOAE via statistical analysis of the differences of suppressed and unsuppressed responses.
REMOTE HEARING TEST SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHODS FOR ESTABLISING AN AUDITORY PROFILE AND ADJUSTING HEARING AIDS USING SUCH A SYSTEM
A hearing test system comprises: a control device for controlling a hearing aid comprising a communication interface arranged to allow two-way communication and software for executing predefined sequences of sounds saved in a memory module of the device in response to an instruction from a control station equipped with remote control software; at least one hearing aid comprising a communication interface arranged to allow two-way communication with the control device, the device comprising a software layer for communication with the hearing aid and being arranged to provide a gateway between the control station and the hearing aid; and means for the sound insulation of the hearing aid.
