SPECTRO-TEMPORAL MODULATION DETECTION TEST UNIT
The present application relates to a spectro-temporal modulation (STM) detection test unit comprising a stimulus generation unit comprising at least one output unit configured to present a first probe stimulus to one ear of a user and to present a second probe stimulus to another ear of the user, an analysis unit configured to determine, in response to presenting the probe stimuli, a modulation-detection threshold of the user, where the stimulus generation unit being configured to generate each of the first probe stimulus and the second probe stimulus based on a carrier signal with a spectro-temporal modulation added, and where the spectro-temporal modulation of the first probe stimulus is different from the spectro-temporal modulation of the second probe stimulus. The present application further relates to a system and a method.
A METHOD OF ESTIMATING A HEARING LOSS, A HEARING LOSS ESTIMATION SYSTEM AND A COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
A method of estimating a hearing loss based on a parameterized representation of a plurality of audiograms. The invention is also directed at a hearing estimation system (200) adapted to carry out said method.
SMARTPHONE APPLICATION WITH POP-OPEN SOUNDWAVE GUIDE FOR DIAGNOSING OTITIS MEDIA IN A TELEMEDICINE ENVIRONMENT
A system and method are disclosed for the remote detection of otitis media in children at home or in other locations for use in a telemedicine environment. The system runs on a smartphone application and is easy for a child's caregiver to use. The system also includes a pop-open soundwave guide that directs an audio signal from a smartphone's speaker to the patient's eardrum and back to the smartphone's microphone.
Physiological information measurement apparatus and program
A physiological information measurement apparatus includes a measuring section that acquires a physiological signal from a living body of a subject, a signal processor that produces a plurality of physiological signal waveforms based on the physiological signal acquired from the measuring section, and that identifies an arithmetic average waveform that is obtained by arithmetic averaging of the plurality of physiological signal waveforms, and information relating to arithmetic average dispersion, and a display that displays at least the information relating to the arithmetic average dispersion.
MECHANICAL PROSTHESIS WITH RECIPIENT PHYSIOLOGICAL AND PROSTHESIS STATUS ACQUISITION CAPABILITIES
A hearing prosthesis system, including a direct acoustic cochlear stimulator (DACS) sub-system, and an electrophysiology measurement sub-system, wherein at least a portion of the DACS sub-system and at least a portion of the electrophysiology measurement sub-system are configured to be permanently implanted in a recipient underneath skin of the recipient.
System and method for validation of hearing aids for infants using a speech signal
A system for validation of a hearing aid performance, especially in small children is disclosed. The validation of the performance of hearing aids after having being fitted to a small child who is not able to subjectively provide responses to sounds presented to the child via the hearing aids, is instead done in an objective manner, by using a naturally occurring signal, which has been modulated in order to create an ASSR evoking speech stimulus which is not considered as noise by a hearing aid.
Middle ear sound transmission characteristics evaluation system, middle ear sound transmission characteristics evaluation method, and measuring probe
A middle ear sound transmission characteristics evaluation system includes a probe; a measuring probe that includes an actuator that vibrates the probe and a force sensor that outputs a voltage in accordance with a reaction force exerted to the actuator when a tip of the probe is brought into contact with ossicles; an electrode that is installed on or near a round window and detects a potential value of a cochlear microphonic when vibration is applied to the ossicles by the probe; a database that stores a sensor voltage value output by the force sensor before surgical treatment, the potential value detected by the electrode, and surgical details; and a surgical details proposing unit that proposes selected surgical details on the basis of the magnitude of at least one of the sensor voltage value and the potential value measured before surgery with reference to the database.
CONFORMABLE EARTIP WITH INTEGRATED MICROPHONE
Certain embodiments provide a hearing test probe apparatus including a hearing test probe, an eartip, and a microphone. The probe includes a speaker disposed within a probe body, and a mounting stem extending from the probe body and including a speaker sound channel. The eartip is detachably coupled to the mounting stem, and includes an eartip body having an ear insertion end and a probe insertion end opposite the ear insertion end. The eartip body defines a central opening extending from the ear insertion end to the probe insertion end. The central opening includes an eartip sound channel at the ear insertion end and an eartip mounting portion at the probe insertion end. The eartip mounting portion is configured to receive and hold the mounting stem of the probe within the central opening. The microphone is disposed within the eartip when the eartip is detachably coupled to the mounting stem.
Auditory device assembly
An auditory device assembly (1) comprises an earpiece (3) having an audio output device (7) for an ear (9) of a user and an audio processing unit (11, 33). The audio processing unit (11, 33) has a hearing-test mode and an audio streaming mode. In the hearing test mode the audio processing unit (11, 33) is arranged to determine at least one ear characteristic of the ear of the user based on at least one hearing test. In the audio streaming mode the audio processing unit (11, 33) is arranged to output an audio stream via the audio output device (7). The audio processing unit (11, 33) is arranged to adjust the output of the audio stream in the audio streaming mode based on the at least one ear characteristic determined in the hearing-test mode.
FITTING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HEARING EARPHONE
Disclosed are a fitting method and apparatus for a hearing earphone, which relate to the field of mobile Internet services. A specific embodiment of the method comprises: obtaining a test result of hearing threshold of a user, transmitting the test result of hearing threshold to a server, and then receiving a target compensation gain value of each of frequency bands, which value is calculated based on hearing earphone configuration information; and sending a generated pure tone signal to a hearing earphone for playing, receiving sound in an ear canal by means of an inner ear microphone arranged in the hearing earphone, so as to receive speech information generated by playing the pure tone signal, and further adjusting gain data of each of frequency bands to approximate a corresponding target compensation gain value. Therefore, the embodiments of the present invention can solve the problems of low fitting efficiency and reliability and high costs of existing hearing earphones.
