A container includes a container main body including a housing part and an opening, and a lid configured to close the opening and including an insertion part configured to be inserted to the opening. The outer peripheral surface of the insertion part includes first and second protrusions and first and second recesses. The inner peripheral surface of the opening includes third and fourth protrusions and third and fourth recesses. When the insertion part is temporarily inserted to the opening, the third protrusion presses the first recess in a state where the first protrusion is housed in the third recess. When the insertion part is fully inserted to the opening, the third protrusion presses the second recess and the fourth protrusion presses the first recess in a state where the first protrusion is housed in the fourth recess and the second protrusion is housed in the third recess.

SAMPLE COLLECTION DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EXTRACTING AND COLLECTING A SAMPLE OF A FLUID OF A USER

A sample collection device for collecting a blood sample of a patient, the sample collection device including a first partially deformable shell and a second at least partially pierceable shell with a pre-packaged vacuum sealed between the first shell and the second shell. The second shell may additionally hold a sample container and an automatic mechanical cutting mechanism including a rotatable cutting blade and an actuator spring, the actuator spring being actuatable by pressing the first shell, thereby releasing and rotating the cutting blade. By pressing the first shell, the pre-packaged vacuum is released to a collection opening of the second shell such that the vacuum effects a suction effect so that blood coming out of the incision created by the rotatable cutting blade leaks into the sample container.

UNIT FOR COLLECTING AND EJECTING BLOOD

A blood collection device may include a tubular container, which may include a closed end and an open end opposite the closed end. The blood collection device may include a plug sealing the open end and a partition within the tubular container. The partition may separate the tubular container into a first chamber and a second chamber. The first chamber and the second chamber may be evacuated such that a pressure within the first chamber and a pressure within the second chamber are lower than ambient pressure and equal to each other. In response to blood being drawn into the first chamber, the pressure within the first chamber may increase, and the partition may slide towards the closed end such that a size of the first chamber increases and a size of the second chamber decreases.

Blood sampling transfer device

A blood sampling transfer device that includes a lancing tape having a flow channel and a transfer cartridge removably connected to the lancing tape is disclosed. The blood sampling transfer device provides a closed system that reduces the exposure of a blood sample to both skin and environment and provides fast mixing of a blood sample with a sample stabilizer.

Biological Fluid Collection Device

A biological fluid collection device that allows a blood sample to be collected anaerobically is disclosed.

COLLECTION AND PREPARATION OF BLOOD SAMPLES FOR POINT-OF-CARE DIAGNOSTICS

This disclosure is directed to methods and devices (300) associated with Point of Care medical testing and diagnostics. More specifically, methods and devices are described which provide a quick and streamlined way to prepare blood samples for analysis using flow cytometers, microscopes, and other analysis platforms. The benefits include a reduction in the time, resources, and expertise needed for preparing those blood samples without compromising the accuracy and efficacy of diagnosing diseases or identifying specific particulates from those blood samples.

A vascular access system which may be configured for blood draw may include a housing, which may include a distal end, a proximal end, and a slot disposed between the distal end and the proximal end. The slot may include a notch. The vascular access system may include a cannula hub, which may be disposed within the housing and movable with respect to the slot. The cannula hub may include a tab extending through the slot. The vascular access system may include a cannula extending distally from the cannula hub. In response to the tab being disposed within the notch, a distal tip of the cannula may be disposed within the housing. In response to advancing the tab along the slot to a distal end of the slot, the distal tip of the cannula is disposed distal to the distal end of the housing.

Vascular Access Device Adapter

A vascular access device adapter allowing for interchangeable connections between separate components of a larger extravascular system while minimizing exposure to non-sterile environments in point-of-care testing and analysis is provided. The vascular access device adapter includes a body having a self-healing puncturable septum secured by an end cap by which hollow small gauge needles may extract or deposit fluid. The adapter device further includes an end cap enclosing the septum, the end cap having ribs which removably secure the adapter to the inner housing of a sample collection device.
