Secure injection needle
An injection needle includes a needle hub and a needle tube. The needle hub is connected to a safety protective cover by an elastic flip mechanism. Two symmetrically-distributed needle hub hooks are provided on a side wall of the needle hub. Two symmetrically-distributed protective cover snaps are provided in a hollow inner cavity of the safety protective cover. The two protective cover snaps cooperates with the two needle hub hooks. Protective cover snap stoppers are provided on outer sides of the two protective cover snaps. The injection needle employs the two needle hub hooks disposed on the side wall of the needle hub and cooperate with the two protective cover snaps disposed in the inner cavity of the safety protective cover.
Blood Collection Assembly with Vibration Module
A device (1) for obtaining a biological sample that includes a blood collection device (10) and a vibration device (80) removably attachable to the blood collection device that provides pain relief is disclosed. The vibration device of the present disclosure provides pain relief to a patient by vibrating the blood collection device. The vibration device can be attached to the blood collection device before it is placed onto a finger to provide pain relief during the finger lancing as well as to aid blood flow from the finger into a collection container during the collection process.
SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS FOR PREVENTING CONTAMINATION OF A BLOOD DRAW SYSTEM
In some embodiments, a system includes a container assembly, a fluid access assembly, and an adapter. The adapter includes a first engagement feature and a second engagement feature. The first engagement feature of the adapter is configured to releasably engage with a cap of the container assembly and the second engagement feature of the adapter is configured to releasably engage with an engagement feature of the fluid access assembly such that, in a first configuration in which the first engagement feature of the adapter is engaged with the cap and the second engagement feature of the adapter is engaged with the engagement feature of the fluid access assembly, the cap of the container assembly is at least partially disposed within the interior of the housing and spaced from a fluid access component of the fluid access assembly.
CATHETER EXTENSION SET AND RELATED METHODS
A catheter extension set may include a distal end, which may include a luer adapter configured to couple to a catheter adapter. The catheter extension may also include a proximal end, which may include a blood collection device. The blood collection device may include a needle configured to receive a blood collection container. The catheter extension may include one or more extension tubes extending between the distal end and the proximal end. The catheter extension set may increase flow resistance, which may reduce a risk of hemolysis when there is a high-pressure differential within the catheter extension set. After a pressure differential within the catheter extension set is lowered, the catheter extension set may decrease flow resistance, which may facilitate more rapid blood collection.
Medical device inserters and processes of inserting and using medical devices
An apparatus for insertion of a medical device in the skin of a subject is provided, as well as methods of inserting medical devices.
MEDICAL DEVICE INSERTERS AND PROCESSES OF INSERTING AND USING MEDICAL DEVICES
An apparatus for insertion of a medical device in the skin of a subject is provided, as well as methods of inserting medical devices. Embodiments include removing a substantially cylindrical cap from an inserter to expose a substantially cylindrical sleeve, removing a cover from a substantially cylindrical container holding sensor components, and fitting the sensor components into the inserter.

Safety blood collection assembly with indicator
A needle assembly is disclosed. The needle assembly includes a housing having a flash chamber, and having a distal end and a proximal end engageable with a specimen collection container. The assembly includes a cannula having a patient end, a non-patient end, and a sidewall extending therebetween defining a cannula interior. The patient end of the cannula projects at least partially from the distal end of the housing, and the cannula interior is in fluid communication with the flash chamber. The assembly further includes a shield restrainably engaged with a portion of the housing and axially transitionable over the patient cannula from a retracted position in which the patient end is exposed, to an extended position in which the patient end is shielded by at least a portion of the shield, wherein at least a portion of the flash chamber is visible in the retracted position.
Medical device inserters and processes of inserting and using medical devices
An apparatus for insertion of a medical device in the skin of a subject is provided, as well as methods of inserting medical devices.
Systems, Devices, and Methods For Bodily Fluid Sample Collection
Bodily fluid sample collection systems, devices, and method are provided. The device may comprise a first portion comprising at least a sample collection channel configured to draw the fluid sample into the sample collection channel via a first type of motive force. The sample collection device may include a second portion comprising a sample container for receiving the bodily fluid sample collected in the sample collection channel, the sample container operably engagable to be in fluid communication with the collection channel, whereupon when fluid communication is established, the container provides a second motive force different from the first motive force to move a majority of the bodily fluid sample from the channel into the container.
