TONER AND METHOD OF PRODUCING TONER
An object of the present invention is to provide a toner that exhibits high levels of the low-temperature fixability, storability, and charging performance all at the same time. The toner of the present invention is a toner that has a toner particle comprising a crystalline resin and an amorphous resin, the toner being characterized in that the toner satisfies 0.00≦(Wt2/Wt1)≦0.50; the toner particle has a matrix-domain structure in which domains of the crystalline resin are present in a matrix of the amorphous resin; at least 90 number % of the crystalline resin domains are domains with a diameter from 0.05 μm to 0.50 μm; and SF1 for the crystalline resin domains is from 100 to 130.
TONER
A toner includes a toner particle containing a resin component. The resin component contains an ester group-containing olefin copolymer and an acid group-containing olefin copolymer. For example, the ester group-containing olefin copolymer is an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and the acid group-containing olefin copolymer is an ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer. The acid group-containing olefin copolymer has an acid value of 50 to 300 mg KOH/g. The content of the ester group-containing olefin copolymer in the resin component is 50 mass % or more based on the total mass of the resin component. The content of the unit derived from the vinyl acetate is 3 mass % or more and 35 mass % or less based on the total mass of the ester group-containing olefin copolymer.
TONER AND METHOD OF PRODUCING TONER
A toner comprising a toner particle containing a binder resin, a wax, and inorganic fine particles, wherein the binder resin contains a crystalline polyester resin and an amorphous polyester resin, and, in a cross section of the toner particle, when Sc represents an area taken up by the crystalline polyester resin and S1 represents an area taken up by the inorganic fine particles that are present in the crystalline polyester resin portion, Sc and S1 satisfy the relationship S1/Sc≧0.2.
Toner, image forming apparatus, image forming method, process cartridge, and developer
A toner of the present invention includes at least a colorant and a resin, has crystallinity CX or 20 or greater, and has a dynamic viscoelasticity characteristic in which a logarithmic value Log G′(50) of storage elastic modulus (Pa) at 50° C. is from 6.5 to 8.0 and a logarithmic value Log G′(65) of storage elastic modulus (Pa) at 65° C. is from 4.5 to 6.0, when the dynamic viscoelasticity characteristic is measured by temperature sweep from 40° C., at a frequency of 1 Hz, at a strain amount control of 0.1%, and at a temperature elevating rate of 2° C./min.
TONER, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING TONER, TONER STORAGE UNIT, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF FORMING IMAGE
A toner includes a crystalline polyester resin and an amorphous polyester resin. A ratio of the storage modulus of the toner G′ (T.sub.O) at a temperature T.sub.O to the storage modulus of the toner G′ (T.sub.O+3) at a temperature T.sub.O+3 is greater than or equal to 10, in a case where the temperature T.sub.O is within a range from 50° C. to 65° C.
Electrostatic ink compositions, methods and print substrates
Described herein is an electrostatic ink composition comprising a liquid carrier; and chargeable particles comprising a co-polymer of an alkylene monomer and an acrylic acid monomer, and a pearlescent, non-metallic pigment, wherein the chargeable particles are dispersed in the liquid carrier. Also described herein are a method of electrophotographic printing and a print substrate.
TONER, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE TONER, TONER ACCOMMODATING UNIT, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
A toner is provided. The toner comprises toner base particles, resin particles adhered to surfaces of the toner base particles, and an external additive adhered to the surfaces of the toner base particles. The toner base particles each comprising a binder resin, a colorant, and a wax. The toner has a storage elastic modulus G′ of 4.0×10.sup.5 or less at 70° C. An embedment degree of the external additive is from 15% to 40%, as the embedment degree is measured by stirring 10 g of the toner and 20 g of a carrier in a 50-mL vial at 67 Hz for 60 minutes using a rocking mill.
Phase inversed resin emulsions
A process is provided comprising forming a phase inversed resin emulsion comprising a resin, water, and an organic solvent, wherein the process excludes subjecting the phase inversed resin emulsion to an organic solvent removal technique, thereby retaining the organic solvent in the phase inversed resin emulsion. The phase inversed resin emulsion may be formed by dissolving a resin in an organic solvent to form a resin mixture; optionally, adding a neutralizing agent to the resin mixture to neutralize acid groups on the resin; and adding a sufficient amount of water to the resin mixture to emulsify and induce phase inversion in the resin mixture. Also provided are processes for preparing particles and processes for preparing toners utilizing the phase inversed resin emulsions.
