TONER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING TONER
A toner comprising a toner particle including a binder resin, wherein the toner is such that (1) when a powder dynamic viscoelasticity measurement method is used, a measurement start temperature is set to 25 C., and a ramp rate is set to 20 C./min, on a curve of a storage elastic modulus E (Pa) where a temperature ( C.) is plotted against an abscissa and the storage elastic modulus E is plotted against an ordinate, a temperature at a time when the E at a start of a measurement has decreased by 50% is from 60 C. to 90 C., and (2) a load at a yield point of a displacement-load curve which is determined by a nanoindentation method and where a load (mN) is plotted against an ordinate and a displacement amount (m) is plotted against an abscissa, is 0.80 mN or more; and a method for producing thereof.
TONER
A toner includes toner particles each including a toner mother particle. The toner mother particles contain a binder resin, a magnetic powder, and conductive titanium oxide particles. The conductive titanium oxide particles have an aspect ratio of at least 5.0. The amount of the conductive titanium oxide particles is at least 2 parts by mass and no greater than 10 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the binder resin.
Electrostatic charge image developer and process cartridge
An electrostatic charge image developer contains a carrier including a core and, on the core, a silicone resin-containing layer serving as a lower layer, and an acrylic resin-containing layer serving as an upper layer, or a carrier including a silicone resin-containing core and an acrylic resin-containing layer on the silicone resin-containing core; strontium titanate particles having an average primary particle size of 20 nm or more and 100 nm or less; and a toner. The percentage of a silicone resin exposed on a surface of the carrier is 0.5 area % or more and 20 area % or less.
Toner
Provided is a toner containing a toner particle including a binder resin, a wax, and a colorant. The softening point of the toner is at least 80 C. and not more than 140 C. The average circularity of the toner is at least 0.940. The integrated value of stress in the toner at 150 C. which is measured by using a tackiness tester is at least 78 g.Math.m/sec.
ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE DEVELOPER AND PROCESS CARTRIDGE
An electrostatic charge image developer contains a carrier including a core and, on the core, a silicone resin-containing layer serving as a lower layer, and an acrylic resin-containing layer serving as an upper layer, or a carrier including a silicone resin-containing core and an acrylic resin-containing layer on the silicone resin-containing core; strontium titanate particles having an average primary particle size of 20 nm or more and 100 nm or less; and a toner. The percentage of a silicone resin exposed on a surface of the carrier is 0.5 area % or more and 20 area % or less.
TONER
A toner including a toner particle that contains a binder resin, and an inorganic fine particle, wherein the inorganic fine particle contains aggregated particles; the aggregated particles contain primary particles of at least one metal salt selected from the group consisting of titanate metal salts and zirconate metal salts; the primary particles have a number-average particle diameter of from 15 nm to 55 nm; the aggregated particles have an aggregation diameter of from 80 nm to 300 nm, the aggregated particles have a volume resistivity of from 210.sup.9 .Math.cm to 210.sup.13 .Math.cm; and the aggregated particles cover a surface of the toner particle, and a coverage ratio of the aggregated particles with respect to the surface of the toner particle is from 0.3 area % to 10.0 area %.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMATION METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes a magnetic toner, an image bearing member, and a development device. The image bearing member is an amorphous silicon photosensitive drum. The magnetic toner includes toner particles. The toner particles each include a toner mother particle containing a binder resin and a magnetic powder and alumina particles attached to a surface of the toner mother particle. The alumina particles each include a core containing alumina and a conductive layer covering the core. The conductive layer contains antimony tin oxide. The alumina particles have a number average primary particle diameter of at least 0.15 ?m and no greater than 0.50 ?m. The alumina particles have a specific resistance of no greater than 250 ?.Math.cm. The alumina particles have an X-ray intensity ratio of at least 0.25 and no greater than 0.35.
Method for producing a toner
Disclosed is a method for producing a toner comprising combining a binder resin, a wax, a negatively-chargeable charge control resin and a colorant to form the toner, prior to said combining, the negatively-chargeable charge control resin is obtained by drying treatment conducted for 2 to 24 hours under conditions of a drying temperature of 45 to 80 C. and a pressure of 0.5 to 20 kPa, wherein the negatively-chargeable charge control resin comprises a monomer unit having a functional group that imparts a negative charging property, a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon monomer unit, and a (meth)acrylate monomer unit.
Magnetic toner
A magnetic toner includes toner particles. The toner particles each include a toner core and a shell layer covering a surface of the toner core. The toner cores contain a polyester resin and a magnetic powder. The magnetic powder includes specific magnetic particles. The shell layers contain a specific vinyl resin.
Magnetic Spherical Toner
A magnetic chemical toner comprising toner particles with high circularity (i.e., above 0.970) is described. The high circularity of the toner particles can maximize transfer efficiency and prevent toner waste during printing. The toner particles can comprise a polyester resin-based core. If desired, the toner particles can comprise a surface coating to modulate toner properties. Also described is a method of preparing the magnetic toner and a method of using the toner to print an image.
