An information processing device includes: a processor configured to: acquire (i) names of items whose set values have been changed from a setting screen and (ii) changed set values of the items; display, on a file name setting screen, one or more user-operable elements each corresponding to a respective one of the items whose set values have been changed; and in response to a user instruction, create a file name that includes (i) a name of at least one of the items and (ii) the set value of the at least one of the items, in which the file name is created in accordance with an arranged order of the elements displayed on the file name setting screen.

There is provided an image forming system that includes an image forming apparatus including an image former that forms an image on a recording material, the image forming system including: recording material storage enabled to store the recording material; a recording material supplier that supplies the recording material from the recording material storage to the image former; a recording material information detection apparatus that is arranged outside the image forming apparatus and detects recording material information of the recording material; and a hardware processor that determines whether or not the recording material detected by the recording material information detection apparatus is settable into the recording material storage on the basis of the recording material information detected by the recording material information detection apparatus and information preset for the recording material storage.

An image forming apparatus includes: a main casing; a drum cartridge; a toner cartridge; a display; and a controller. The drum cartridge is attachable to and detachable from the main casing. The drum cartridge includes a photosensitive drum and a drum memory. The toner cartridge is attachable to and detachable from the drum cartridge. The toner cartridge includes a toner memory. The controller is configured to: determine whether an error occurs in the drum cartridge through a communication with the drum memory; determine whether an error occurs in the toner cartridge through a communication with the toner memory; and when determining that an error occurs in the drum cartridge and determining that an error occurs in the toner cartridge, display on the display an error relating to the drum cartridge in preference to displaying on the display an error relating to the toner cartridge.

A sheet management system includes an image forming apparatus and first and second information processing apparatuses to communicate with the image forming apparatus. The first information processing apparatus includes a first LAN interface connected to the image forming apparatus, a second LAN interface connected to a network, and a first display to display information. To display a screen for performing sheet management on the first display, the first information processing apparatus obtains device information of the image forming apparatus based on information on an apparatus connected via the first LAN interface. The second information processing apparatus includes a third. LAN interface connected to the network and a second display to display information. To display a screen for performing sheet management on the second display, the second information processing apparatus obtains device information of the image forming apparatus via the third LAN interface using address information entered by a user.

An image forming system includes an image forming unit, an inspection unit, a conveyance unit configured to convey a sheet to the inspection unit, a controller configured to execute a first inspection mode in which a sheet having an image formed thereon is conveyed by the conveyance unit to the inspection unit and is inspected, and a second inspection mode in which, without executing image forming by the image forming unit, a sheet is conveyed by the conveyance unit to the inspection unit and is inspected, and a setting unit configured to set a recovery process. The setting unit permits the setting of the recovery process in the first inspection mode and prohibits the setting of the recovery process in the second inspection mode.

An image forming apparatus for forming an image on paper includes a body surface temperature measuring sensor, a user interface, a communication interface, and a controller. The body surface temperature measuring sensor measures the body surface temperature of the operator in a non-contact manner. The user interface presents a message to the operator. The communication interface transmits a message to the administrator who manages the image forming apparatus. When access to the surface or the inside of the image forming apparatus is required and the body surface temperature of the operator is equal to or higher than a threshold temperature, the controller transmits a message requesting to touch the surface or the inside of the image forming apparatus to the administrator by the communication interface and presents a message requesting not to touch the image forming apparatus to the operator by the user interface.

A display control device includes a display section and a display controller. The display controller controls the display section so as to cause the display section to display a first image (703a to 703f) and a second image. The first image (703a to 703f) is displayed in an upper layer for the second image. The first image (703a to 703f) represents a category item. The second image represents a setting item belonging to the category item. The display controller controls the display section so as to cause the display section to display a predetermined image (705) in the first image (703a to 703f) according to the setting item that has been entered.

An image forming apparatus includes an enquirer that temporarily suspends production of a printed material, after at least one set of the printed materials has been produced, upon deciding that a print request has been sent from a predetermined remote location distant from an installation site of the image forming apparatus, and enquires whether the production of the printed material may be resumed, to a user through a network I/F, a response receiver that receives a response from the user, to the enquiry made by the enquirer, and a controller that resumes the production of the printed material, upon deciding that the response receiver has received a permission to resume the production of the printed material, from the user.

A display control device includes a display section and a display controller. The display controller controls the display section so as to cause the display section to display a first image (703a to 703f) and a second image. The first image (703a to 703f) is displayed in an upper layer for the second image. The first image (703a to 703f) represents a category item. The second image represents a setting item belonging to the category item. The display controller controls the display section so as to cause the display section to display a predetermined image (705) in the first image (703a to 703f) according to the setting item that has been entered.

An image forming apparatus includes a sheet feeding unit storing a sheet, an image forming unit, a display unit, and one or more processors. The image forming unit forms an image on the sheet conveyed from the sheet feeding unit. The display unit displays a screen. The one or more processors perform control to cause the display unit to display a first sheet setting screen for setting sheet information about the sheet feeding unit on which a predetermined operation is performed based on the performance of the predetermined operation on the sheet feeding unit while a setting screen that prompts a user to make a copy-related setting is displayed. Where the predetermined operation is performed while a second sheet setting screen for setting sheet information about the sheet feeding unit is displayed, the one or more processors cause the display unit not to display the first sheet setting screen.
