The screen includes a first region for displaying work that a user carries out to remove jammed sheets from inside the image processing apparatus and a second region for displaying work that the user carries out after removing the jammed sheets from inside the image processing apparatus.

A control unit of an image forming device determines a remaining amount threshold value, and selects a first mode or a second mode. In the first mode, a sheet feeding unit of the image forming device starts feeding a sheet based on presence/absence of an insertion sheet that is to be inserted by a inserter device immediately prior to a sheet fed from the sheet feeding unit. A control apparatus to control a system including an image forming apparatus and a sheet discharge apparatus. The control apparatus receives configuration information of the system, and discharge state information having a discharge destination and a stacking amount of sheets discharged by the sheet discharge apparatus, and job identification information of an image forming job of sheets to be picked up. The control apparatus generates a system configuration image based on the configuration information, generates a sheet bundle image based on the discharge state information, combines the sheet bundle image with the system configuration image based on the discharge destination, and displays them as combined. The sheet bundle image is displayed with a size corresponding to the stacking amount and a first sheet bundle image, which corresponds to the job identification information, and a second sheet bundle image, which does not correspond to the job identification information, are distinguishably displayed.

An image formation apparatus includes: a replaceable part attached to an image formation device and including an information storage unit having unique identification information stored therein; an error detector which detects an occurrence of an anomaly; an error code storage unit having a first error code and a second error code stored therein, each code indicating a content of error display concerning the anomaly; and a controller which determines whether the replaceable part is of a first type or a second type based on the identification information. The controller outputs a first notification signal indicating a content corresponding to the anomaly of the first error code if the replaceable part is of the first type when the error detector detects the anomaly, and outputs a second notification signal indicating a content corresponding to the anomaly of the second error code if the part is of the second type.

An image forming apparatus which prevents a user from being confused when print data comprised of a plurality of sections is printed by the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus is able to perform test printing of print data for which a plurality of copies are to be printed. Whether or not a plurality of sections are included in selected print data is determined, and when it is determined that a plurality of sections are included in the selected print data, execution of the test printing is restricted.

There is a need to provide an image generator and an image generation method capable of avoiding wasting a normal printed matter if any in sheets of paper output after an occurrence of waste paper. When paper contains an abnormal image, the paper is detected as waste paper based on a read result from an image read sensor. Detection of the waste paper allows an image generator to perform reprint from a print job for the waste paper. Normal-image paper may be contained in sheets of paper output between detection of the waste paper and the reprint to be performed. In this case, the normal-image paper is used as a normal printed matter and is avoided from being consumed wastefully.
