PRINTING SYSTEM SUPPORTING UNATTENDED PRINTING AND A METHOD OF UNATTENDED PRINTING BY A PRINTING SYSTEM
The invention relates to a printing system for printing a plurality of print jobs, the printing system having a receiving unit for receiving the print jobs, a controller for controlling a scheduling process and a printing process of the print jobs, a print unit for printing the print jobs, a plurality of supply holders for holding supply material for printing, and a user interface for communicating to the operator scheduled supply operator actions. Each of the scheduled supply operator actions is linked to one of the plurality of supply holders. The controller has an establishing unit for establishing a time period of unattended printing of the printing system, and a determination unit for determining scheduled supply operator actions per holder needed to be done before the time period of unattended printing starts. The user interface displays the established time period of unattended printing and the determined supply operator actions per holder. The invention also relates to a method suitable for application in the printing system.
Information processing apparatus
A display processing apparatus includes a gloss-control plane generating unit configured to generate gloss-control plane data for specifying a type of a surface effect applied to a recording medium and an area in a recording medium to which the surface effect is applied; an obtaining unit configured to obtain replacement information that is used to replace a type of the surface effect that is not available in a device configuration with a type of the surface effect that is available in the device configuration; a replacing unit configured to replace the type of the surface effect designated by the designation information with the type of the available surface effect using the replacement information obtained by the obtaining unit; and a preview image generating unit configured to generate a preview image based on the gloss-control plane data having an area to which the available surface effect is to be applied.
Display apparatus, display method, and computer readable recording medium stored with display program
A display apparatus that switches and displays a plurality of operation screens each including an operation object selectable by an operator and having a layered structure includes a storage unit which stores information on guidance of prompting an operator to select a predetermined operation object, a recognizing unit which recognizes that an operation object is added or deleted, and an update unit which updates information on guidance in response to a relation between an operation screen to/from which the operation object is added or deleted and an operation screen positioned higher or lower than the operation screen such that content of the guidance provided on the basis of the information reflects configurations of the plurality of operation screens after addition or deletion of the operation object, when the operation object is added or deleted.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image display operation device includes a function selecting portion to correlate with a plurality of functions so as to be executable, a display portion to display the function selecting portion, and a display control portion that causes the display portion to display the function selecting portion. The function selecting portion includes a first function selecting portion in which selectable function items are displayed, and a second function selecting portion in which other function items that are selectable in conjunction with functions included in the first function selecting portion are displayed. When one or more functions included in the first function selecting portion are selected, the display control portion changes function items to be displayed on the second function selecting portion, based on contents of the one or more functions selected on the first function selecting portion.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
An image forming apparatus for performing image formation using a recording material includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire a remaining amount of the recording material, a prediction unit configured to predict a remaining amount of the recording material based on data used for the image formation, a setting unit configured to set the predicated remaining amount of the recording material as a remaining amount of the recording material to be displayed, and a control unit configured to perform control so that when the predicted remaining amount of the recording material reaches a remaining amount of the recording material to be acquired next by the acquisition unit, the remaining amount of the recording material to be displayed is maintained at the remaining amount of the recording material to be acquired next by the acquisition unit until the acquisition unit acquires the next remaining amount of the recording material.
Image display operation device and image forming apparatus including the image display operation device
An image forming apparatus includes a document reader, a storage for storing image data, an image output unit and a control unit. The control unit includes: a function setup controller for setting up the image output conditions of output images; and a control-unit side controller having a function of displaying a function setup screen corresponding to the function setup controller, on a display panel. The function setup controller has an additional input mode having a function of reading documents a multiple number of times to form multiple sheaves of documents. The additional input mode includes: an individual setup function of setting up individual image output conditions for each sheaf of documents and an all-in setup function of setting up identical image output conditions for all sheaves of documents. When the additional input mode is set up, the control unit-side controller offers a display of a setup change suggestion of the image output conditions for the next input on the display screen at the stage where the first image data input has been completed.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR MANAGING CONSUMABLE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus is provided which can properly manage individual information after replacement and history of replacement on the apparatus side. If individual information is successfully read from a toner cartridge storing the individual information, the image forming apparatus records the individual information in an apparatus-side memory. At a predetermined timing of when there is a possibility that the toner cartridge is replaced, the image forming apparatus attempts to read information from the toner cartridge. If the reading fails and the individual information recorded in the apparatus-side storage is not information read from the toner cartridge, the image forming apparatus writes new individual information about the toner cartridge to the apparatus-side storage, and records information generated on the apparatus side in the written individual information.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
When trial printing is executed in a repeat printing mode, trial printing is performed in size of an image of one piece in a layout in which a plurality of images are supposed to be printed in the repeat printing mode normally. A user who has checked a finished state of the trial printing sets, when the finished state is in a desired state, the recording paper on which the trial printing is performed to the paper feed portion again and executes the repeat printing. Thereby, in a blank space excluding a print image which is printed with a first time trial printing, a scheduled quantity of a plurality of images are repeatedly printed.
DISPLAY INPUT DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH SAME
To provide a display input device that is capable of improving user convenience. A control part of the display input device causes a display input part to display a workflow creation and registration screen, which is prepared for creating and registering a workflow, to receive operations for creating and registering the workflow, the workflow being a combination of basic and combination functions and including data that is indicative of each of a first function that is the basic function selected as a function to be registered, a setting content of the first function, a second function that is the combination function selected as a function to be registered, and a setting content of the second function.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
In image forming apparatus according to the present disclosure, a controller causes a setting icon to transition to a locked state in response to an operation received via a user I/F. In a case where a temporarily releasing operation of temporarily releasing the locked state is performed in the locked state, the controller causes the user I/F to be in a temporarily released state. The controller is configured to release the temporarily released state and to cause the user interface to return to the locked state, triggered by the temporarily released state having been continued for a predetermined period of time.
