An image forming apparatus that includes a charger for charging a surface of a photoreceptor and that forms an image by using an electrophotographic system, the charger being configured to be cleanable, includes a guidance notification unit that causes a guidance notification prompting cleaning of the charger to be displayed and a guidance notification determination unit that, in accordance with a threshold set in accordance with usage condition of the image forming apparatus, determines whether or not to cause the guidance notification to be displayed.

An image forming device (100) includes a reading section (10), a conveyance section (20), an operation display section (110), storage (170), and a controller (160). The reading section (10) reads an image of a document to generate image data. The conveyance section (20) conveys the document to the reading section (10). The operation display section (110) displays an operation screen. The storage (170) stores therein first image data (171) of at least one page of the document read by the reading section (10) before a jam of the document occurs in the conveyance section (20). The controller (160) controls the operation display section (110) to display second image data (172) in association with the first image data (171). The second data (172) is image data of a page of the document read by the reading section (10) after resumption of conveyance of the document on the occasion of occurrence of the jam. The page corresponds to the at least one page that has been already read.

An image forming device is provided. The image forming device includes: a conveyance unit that conveys a continuous paper, an image forming unit that forms an image on a continuous paper conveyed by the conveyance unit, a job selection unit that selects a job to be executed, and a processor that calculates an image forming distance and indicates the calculated image forming distance on a display. The image forming distance is a length in a conveyance direction of the continuous paper needed to execute the selected job.

An image forming apparatus includes a conveyance portion, a printing portion, a delay storage portion, a control portion, an input portion, and a display portion. The delay storage portion can store delay information. The control portion performs a measurement mode. The input portion receives instructions to start and end the measurement mode. According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a plurality of parts, an acquisition unit, and a control unit. The plurality of parts are used in the image forming process and are replaced according to the degree of use. The acquisition unit acquires, for each of the parts, use-related information that is information indicating the degree of use of the plurality of parts. The control unit determines the replacement timing of the part using the plurality of pieces of use-related information acquired by the acquisition unit and the determination condition regarding the replacement timing of the part.
