Image forming apparatus and recording medium
An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of image formers each capable of forming, on a sheet, an overlap image and a non-overlap image, a fixer that fixes, on the sheet, a whole image composed of the overlap images and the non-overlap images, and a hardware processor that controls each of the plurality of image formers such that a difference in image at a boundary between the overlap image and the non-overlap image is reduced in the whole image.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a printer and a controller. The printer transfers an image formed by attaching toner to an electrostatic latent image onto a sheet, heats and presses the sheet onto which the visible image is transferred to fix the image onto the sheet, and thereby forms an image on the sheet. The controller controls the printer to form an image for a second surface, and then to form an image for a first surface which differs from a surface on which the image for the second surface is formed, when the controller determines that duplex printing, in which decolorable toner is used on the first surface on which an image is first formed, and toner having a fixing temperature higher than a decolorizing temperature is used on the second surface, is set in printing job data.
Image forming apparatus and image forming method
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device, an image density detector, and a processor. The processor controls the image forming device to form a first test toner image, and controls the image density detector to detect an image density at the plurality of positions of the first test toner image. The processor adjusts an image forming condition so that the image density detected at each of the plurality of positions becomes a target image density, controls the image forming device to form a second test toner image based on the adjusted image forming condition, controls the image density detector to detect an image density at the plurality of positions of the second test toner image, determines whether a streak exists in the second test toner image based on the detected image densities, and executes a countermeasure to prevent an occurrence of the streak.
Image forming apparatus and controlling method thereof
An image forming apparatus according to an embodiment includes an image forming unit, and a processor. The image forming unit forms an image on a printing medium. The processor performs user authentication and, upon performing the user authentication, determines whether or not an image stabilization process should be performed in the image forming unit. The processor then instructs the image forming unit to perform the image stabilization process according to a result of the user authentication.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CORRECTING EXPOSURE AMOUNT OF PHOTOSENSITIVE MEMBER
An image forming apparatus includes: a photosensitive member; a scan unit configured to scan the photosensitive member with light based on image data, and form a latent image on the photosensitive member; a developing unit configured to form an image on the photosensitive member by attaching toner to the latent image formed on the photosensitive member; and a correction unit configured to correct an exposure amount of the photosensitive member such that a density change of the image in a main scanning direction due to a configuration of the scan unit and a density of the image to be formed is reduced.
Image forming apparatus including sensor having substrate on which light-emitting element and light-receiving element are provided
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit configured to form an image, a reference member, a sensor including a substrate, a light-emitting element provided on the substrate, a light-receiving element provided on the substrate, and a blocking member provided between the light-emitting element and the light-receiving element on the substrate, the sensor configured to output an output value based on a light reception result of the light-receiving element, a memory storing data related to a relationship between a measurement condition and an offset value, and a controller configured to control the sensor based on a plurality of measurement conditions to acquire an output value corresponding to a measurement result of reflected light from the reference member, and determine a measurement condition for measuring the image based on the acquired output value and the data stored in the memory.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a causal member identifying section, and a judgement section. The causal member identifying section identifies the causal member as a cause of the periodic unevenness based on the period of the periodic unevenness which has been detected by the periodic unevenness detector. The judgement section judges whether or not the periodic unevenness is transient based on the information of the causal member identified by the causal member identifying section, the information of at least one of a resting time in which the image forming apparatus has been left inoperative, an operating time of the causal member, and the image forming condition for image formation, and the information of a temperature and a humidity inside the image forming apparatus.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A density correction unit calculates a density change rate to a change in an exposure amount as a first density change rate based on a difference between a density of a part of reference patch images, in which a position in a main scanning direction is identical to a position of a first patch image. As for a second patch image, the density correction unit similarly calculates a second density change rate. A light amount when forming the first patch image is smaller than a reference light amount. A light amount when forming the second patch image is larger than the reference light amount. The density correction unit uses the first or the second density change rate based on whether a density of each position of the reference patch images in the main scanning direction higher or lower than a target density to correct the exposure amount
System and methods for adjusting toner density in an imaging device
An electrophotographic imaging device having a method of printing which includes determining whether a duty cycle state in the imaging device has changed; selecting one of a full toner density calibration and a partial toner density calibration based on the determining; performing the one of the full toner density calibration and the partial toner density calibration; identifying a toner density to be applied during printing as a result of the performing; developing a toned image having a toner density equal to the toner density identified; and printing the toned image on a media sheet, wherein the full toner density calibration is skipped upon at least a determination that the duty cycle state has remained the same.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus including an image forming unit, a fixing device, and circuitry is provided. The image forming unit is configured to perform a special image forming operation that forms a color toner image and a special toner image with a color toner and a special toner, respectively, on a recording medium and a normal image forming operation that forms the color toner image without forming the special toner image on the recording medium. The fixing device is configured to fix the color toner image and the special toner image on the recording medium. The circuitry is configured to perform, in the special image forming operation, a toner amount suppression control that makes an amount of the color toner on the recording medium per unit area smaller than that in the normal image forming operation.
