Image forming apparatus
The image forming apparatus includes an image adjustment unit that performs image adjustment on an image for adjustment formed on a rotary member by an image forming unit, based on a detection result by a detection unit. The image adjustment unit calculates the position of second data corresponding to the detection result by detecting an area in which the image for adjustment is formed, calculates first data corresponding to the position of the second data corresponding to the detection result by detecting an area in which the image for adjustment is not formed, and performs the image adjustment by using the first data and the second data.
Image forming apparatus
A controller of an image forming apparatus calculates a density difference between a measurement result of a toner image having the highest density formed on a photosensitive drum, which is obtained by an image density sensor, and the highest density of a density target. When the density difference falls within a predetermined range, the controller generates a tone correction table based on a density value of a first toner image formed with a plurality of densities including the highest density, and sets, based on the density difference, an exposure amount of laser light to be applied to the photosensitive drum by an exposure device. When the density difference falls out of the predetermined range, the controller generates the tone correction table based on a density value of a second toner image having a larger number of tone levels than that of the first toner image.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a latent image bearer, a charger to charge the latent image bearer with a charging bias obtained by superimposing a charge fluctuation voltage to reduce an image density fluctuation on a direct current charging voltage, a writing device to write a latent image on the latent image bearer with writing intensity obtained by superimposing fluctuating writing intensity to reduce an image density fluctuation on constant writing intensity, a developing sleeve to which a developing bias obtained by superimposing a fluctuating developing voltage to reduce an image density fluctuation on a direct current developing voltage is applied to develop the latent image, and circuitry to control the charging bias, the writing intensity, and the developing bias. The circuitry changes the charge fluctuation voltage and the fluctuating developing voltage depending on whether the writing device writes the latent image with the fluctuating writing intensity.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus of the present invention includes: a determination unit that determines toner application amounts based on image data; a memory device that stores a set of instructions; and at least one processor that executes the set of instructions to: control fixing temperature for fixing a toner image formed from the image data to a printing medium in accordance with information created for each printing page by analyzing the determined toner application amounts; and fix the toner image to a printing medium at the controlled fixing temperature. The determination unit divides each printing page of the image data into a plurality of meshes of a predetermined size and determines positions corresponding to the meshes obtained by the dividing, and counts the toner application amounts of pixels in each of the meshes based on a determination result of the determining of the positions and the image data.
Image forming apparatus to suppress toner adhering to guiding members
A moving member is disposed between an upper guide, which guides a conveyed transfer material and to which a voltage is applied from a power source, and a lower guide, which guides the conveyed transfer material, the upper guide being disposed on an upstream side with respect to a photosensitive drum in a conveyance direction of the transfer material. The moving member is supported by the upper guide, and is capable of abutting against and separating from the lower guide. By being pushed by the transfer material, the moving member transitions from a first state in which the moving member is abutted against the lower guide to a second state in which the moving member is separated from the lower guide.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device to form an image on an image bearer and circuitry configured to accept, from a user, an input of a density level selected from a plurality of different density levels and control an image forming condition under which the image forming device forms the image. The circuitry is configured to correct density unevenness of the image formed on the image bearer by the image forming device and correct the density unevenness of the image at the density level accepted. The density unevenness is unevenness appearing in a main scanning direction orthogonal to a direction of conveyance of the image bearer during image formation.
