IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
An image forming device including a forming unit, an adhesion amount detector, a correction coefficient determiner, and a correction unit. The forming unit forms line images each having a different line width. The adhesion amount detector detects a toner adhesion amount for each of the line images. The correction coefficient determiner determines, according to the toner adhesion amounts detected for each line width, correction coefficients for a gradation value of the line images of each line width. The correction unit corrects a gradation value of a line image using a correction coefficient corresponding to the line width of the line image when forming the line image.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
An image processing apparatus includes a scanner configured to read an image formed on a sheet along a reading direction and generate image data thereof, and a processor. The processor is configured to select a first region of the generated image data into which a first image indicating the reading direction is to be combined, set a pixel value of the first image in accordance with a pixel value of a pixel around the first region, and combine the first image having the determined pixel value into the first region of the image data and output the combined image data.
PROCESSING JOB GENERATION APPARATUS AND SHEET PROCESSING SYSTEM
A processing job generation apparatus includes a decision unit that decides whether or not a sheet processing apparatus can execute a processing of a sheet based on a layout data.
Image processing apparatus, image forming apparatus, image processing method, and storage medium
The image processing apparatus of the present invention includes: a generation unit configured to generate a sharpness recovery amount for recovering degradation of a spatial frequency response from a target image; and a line width correction unit configured to perform line width correction processing for the target image based on the sharpness recovery amount, and the line width correction unit corrects a line width in accordance with a sign of a pixel whose absolute value of the sharpness recovery amount is large in a case where signs of the sharpness recovery amounts reverse between adjacent pixels of the target image.
ADAPTIVE INTERPAGE DELAYS
An example method includes maintaining, by a processing resource associated with a finisher communicatively coupled to a printer, an interpage delay table, the interpage delay table storing an interpage delay value for each of a plurality of page attribute combinations. The method further includes processing, by the finisher, a job based at least in part on a particular interpage delay value stored in the interpage delay table for an identified page attribute combination.
PRINTING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
A printing system includes a printing unit, a determination unit, and a switching unit. The printing unit prints an image on a recording medium. The determination unit compares a prestored reference image and a read image corresponding to a reading result of a printed document in which the image is printed on the recording medium and determines whether a result of the comparison satisfies a predetermined condition. The switching unit switches a discharge destination of the recording medium based on a result of the determination. The switching unit switches a conveyance path of the recording medium based on whether the determination is performed.
TEMPORAL CORRECTION OF TONE SCALE ERRORS IN A DIGITAL PRINTER
A method for correcting tone-level non-uniformities in a digital printing system includes printing a test target having a set of uniform test patches. The printed test target is automatically analyzed to determine tone-level errors as a function of cross-track position for each of the test patches. A tone-level correction function is determined and represented using a set of one-dimensional feature vectors which specifies tone-level corrections as a function of cross-track position, pixel value and time. Corrected image data is determined by using the tone-level correction function to determine a tone-level correction value for each image pixel responsive to the input pixel value, cross-track position and time. The corrected image data is printed using the digital printing system to provide a printed image with reduced tone-level errors.
Image forming apparatus, image forming method, and computer readable storage medium storing program capable of setting a target temperature for a page for which image information is not acquired
An image forming apparatus includes: an acquiring portion configured to acquire image information and operation information of the image forming apparatus; an image forming portion configured to form a toner image on a recording material; a fixing portion configured to fix the toner image to the recording material by heating the recording material on which the toner image is formed; and a control portion configured to, when the acquiring portion acquires image information corresponding to a first page and fails to acquire image information corresponding to a second page following the first page, set a temperature of the fixing portion for fixing the first page as a first temperature based on the image information corresponding to the first page and the operation information, and set the temperature of the fixing portion for fixing the second page as a second temperature based on the operation information.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus including a first processor and a second processor are provided. When the two processors receive a cooperative command for forming images respectively at first and second image forming sections, the first processor transmits a preparation command for performing image formation preparation in the second image forming section to the second processor, and the second processor performs the image formation preparation in the second image forming section and transmits a completion notification to the first processor upon completion, and the first processor executes an image forming process. When the first processor receives an independent command for forming an image at the first image forming section but not at the second image forming section and subsequently receives the cooperative command, the first processor transmits the preparation command corresponding to the cooperative command to the second processor upon completion of an image forming process corresponding to the independent command.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a communication portion arranged inside a cover covering an image forming portion in the main body of the apparatus and including an antenna surface for use in establishing near field communication. The cover includes a stacking portion in its upper section. The stacking portion is configured to receive a recording medium with an image thereon, the recording medium being discharged outside the main body of the apparatus. The antenna surface faces a region of the upper section of the cover downstream in a direction of discharging the recording medium. The antenna surface at least partially faces a region of the upper section of the cover outside the stacking portion in a direction perpendicular to the direction of discharging the recording medium. The communication portion is capable of communicating with another communication portion using near field communication.
