An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus, a cutting apparatus, and a controller. The cutting apparatus includes a conveyance path, a first cutting unit configured to cut, at a cutting position with respect to a conveyance direction of the sheet on the conveyance path, the sheet in a width direction perpendicularly intersecting with the conveyance direction, and a second cutting unit configured to cut, at a cutting position with respect to the width direction, the sheet in the conveyance direction. The controller is configured to control the cutting apparatus such that, in a case where the sheet is cut neither with the first cutting unit nor with the second cutting unit, the sheet is conveyed through the conveyance path with the first cutting unit and the second cutting unit retreated not to contact with the sheet passing through the conveyance path.

An image formation apparatus according to an embodiment may include: a cutting unit including a cutting member, a polarity of the cutting member being opposite to a polarity of the medium in a triboelectric series; an image formation unit that forms an image on the medium cut by the cutting unit; and a pressure contact unit arranged between the cutting unit and the image formation unit, and including a first pressure contact member and a second pressure contact member that are put in pressure contact with each other across the medium cut by the cutting unit, a polarity of the first pressure contact member being opposite to the polarity of the medium in a triboelectric series, a polarity value of the second pressure contact member shifted from a polarity value of the first pressure contact member toward the polarity of the medium in the triboelectric series.

An image forming apparatus includes a cutting part cutting a medium, a transfer part arranged on a downstream side of the cutting part in a carrying direction and transfers a developer image to the medium; a flexure forming part having a guide part and forms a flexure of the medium by bending the medium between the cutting part and the transfer part in the carrying direction; and an opposing part that is arranged opposing the flexure forming part via a carrying path through which the medium is carried, wherein the guide part performs a retreat movement either before or after the cutting part starts to cut the medium, wherein the retreat movement is a movement of the guide part in which the guide part moves in a direction away from the opposing part.

An image forming apparatus includes a first conveyor, a cutter, a second conveyor, a detection image forming section, a detector, and a controller. The first conveyor conveys a print medium. The cutter cuts the conveyed print medium. The second conveyor conveys, in a first direction, the print medium cut by the cutter. The detection image forming section forms a detection image on the print medium and the second conveyor. The detector detects, at two positions in a second direction, the detection image formed on the print medium or the detection image formed on the second conveyor. The controller varies one or both of a conveying speed of the print medium to be conveyed by the first conveyor and a cutting speed of the print medium to be cut by the cutter, on the basis of a comparison of the detection image detected at the two positions.

Provided is an image forming apparatus configured to form an image on a sheet. A case binding apparatus is configured to cut predetermined sides of a sheet bundle formed by binding a plurality of sheets to perform bookbinding. The case binding apparatus includes a cutting-waste box configured to collect cutting waste produced by the cutting and a cutting-waste full load detection sensor configured to detect a fully loaded state of the cutting-waste box with the cutting waste collected in the cutting-waste box. When the sheet onto which the image is to be formed is not a last sheet in the sheet bundle, the image forming apparatus does not interrupt image formation processing in response to the fully loaded state of the waste box detected by the detector when an order of the sheet in the sheet bundle is smaller than a predetermined order.

A recording material transport system includes a first transport apparatus including a transport unit that transports a recording material and a notification unit that notifies a user about how to deal with a recording material whose transport has been stopped; and a second transport apparatus including a transport unit that transports a recording material transported from the first transport apparatus and a notification unit that notifies the user about how to deal with a recording material whose transport has been stopped, wherein in a case where a recording material has stopped in both of the first and second transport apparatus, the notification unit of the first transport apparatus notifies the user about how to deal with the recording material in the first transport apparatus, and the notification unit of the second transport apparatus notifies the user about how to deal with the recording material in the second transport apparatus.

An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus, a cutting apparatus, and a controller. The cutting apparatus includes a conveyance path, a first cutting unit configured to cut, at a cutting position with respect to a conveyance direction of the sheet on the conveyance path, the sheet in a width direction perpendicularly intersecting with the conveyance direction, and a second cutting unit configured to cut, at a cutting position with respect to the width direction, the sheet in the conveyance direction. An image forming apparatus, includes (1) a medium holding unit that holds a recording medium; (2) a guide member configured to be movable, that sets a medium path of the recording medium fed from the medium holding unit as a predetermined path by being locked in a predetermined position, and that is unlocked by a tension of the recording medium; (3) a first conveyance member that is arranged downstream of the medium path of the guide member, and conveys the recording medium; and (4) an image forming unit that forms an image to the recording medium conveyed by the first conveyance member.

In a photo stand sheet, the length of the photo stand sheet in a first direction is smaller than that in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The photo stand sheet includes: a frame part having a window part, the frame part having a rectangular shape in which the length in the first direction is larger than that in the second direction; a stand part that is formed so as to be continuous with the frame part and that stands on a ground after the photo stand sheet is formed into a final shape; and a photo part that is formed so as to be continuous with the stand part, the dimension thereof in the second direction being larger than the dimension of the frame part in the second direction.

A medium cutting device according to an embodiment may include: a fixed blade provided on one side with respect to a conveyance path in which a medium is conveyed in a thickness direction of the medium orthogonal to a surface of the medium and including a cutting edge thereof; a rotary blade provided on the other side with respect to the conveyance path in the thickness direction, and including a cutting edge thereof, wherein the rotary blade is configured to be rotated in a rotation direction so that the cutting edge of the rotary blade passes by the cutting edge of the fixed blade to cut at a cutting position the medium being conveyed; and a guide member provided upstream of the cutting position in a conveyance direction of the medium and configured to bias the medium toward the rotary blade side.
