Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes: a conveyance section configured to convey a sheet along a sheet feeding path; an image forming section configured to transfer and fix a toner image on a sheet conveyed by the conveyance section to form an image; and a plurality of cutting sections configured to cut a sheet that is conveyed through the sheet feeding path in a sheet width direction.
TARGET RECORDING MEDIUM FEEDING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND TARGET RECORDING MEDIUM CUTTING CONTROL METHOD
A paper conveyance roller pair on the lower flow side of an auto cutter which cuts a target recording medium (long paper) at predetermined timing during a printing operation includes a powder brake mechanism which brakes the paper conveyance roller pair by changing the degree of agglomeration of magnetic powder with a magnetic force generated by a coil based on an excitation current value so as to continuously vary a transmission torque. When the target recording medium is cut, a control section varies an excitation current of the power brake mechanism to increase a load torque to be applied to the paper conveyance roller pair, and applies tension larger than usual to the target recording medium pinched by the paper conveyance roller pair.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus configured to form an image on a recording medium. The image forming apparatus includes an optical sensor disposed on a conveyance path of the recording medium. The optical sensor is configured to detect position information of the recording medium conveyed along the conveyance path. A sensor cover is disposed between the optical sensor and the recording medium whose position information is detected by the optical sensor. The sensor cover is configured to guide the recording medium. The sensor cover has a first side facing the optical sensor. The sensor cover includes an electrically conductive surface on the first side. The electrically conductive surface is electrically connected to a main body of the image forming apparatus.
Print system, information processing apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable medium
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive multiple print instructions; and generate a new print instruction including the multiple received print instructions, the new print instruction being an instruction in which at least one predetermined page is added to the top or end of a second print instruction, the second print instruction having a page count less than the page count of a first print instruction, the page count of the first print instruction being the highest among the multiple print instructions, the at least one added, predetermined page having a page count equal to the difference between the page count of the first print instruction and the page count of the second print instruction.
Printing device
A printing device includes: a second blade; a first blade portion including a first blade and configured to cut print paper by moving from a standby position at which the first blade is away from the second blade, via an overlap start position at which the first blade starts overlapping the second blade on a side of the second blade in a first direction, to a cutting position; a first blade guide located in the first direction relative to the second blade and configured to guide movement of the first blade with the first blade between the first blade guide and the second blade when the first blade portion moves from the overlap start position to the cutting position; and a warping prevention portion configured to press the first blade in a second direction opposite to the first direction when the first blade portion moves from the overlap start position to the cutting position, to prevent the first blade from warping into a convex shape in the first direction or reduce such warping.
Booklet making method and apparatus
A booklet making method includes: cutting a web of paper on one side and on another side into first and second continuous sheets, alternately bonding the first and second continuous sheets widthwise with a setting paste and a throwaway paste to form a double set continuous sheet of paper, and cutting the double set continuous sheet of paper into split double sheets of a selected longitudinal length. A plurality of split double sheets is integrally bound with an integrating paste to form a booklet-like product. Portions of the booklet-like product which are pasted and bonded with the throwaway paste are cut off to provide a plurality of booklets. Thus, by the booklet making method, booklets having an odd number of leaves or pages are formed without waste of paper and with reduced paper jams.
Image layout
According to an example, a printing system may include a web layout module to access a set of images and generate a web layout of the set of images, in which the web layout is arranged in columns of same sized images, each column being arranged in sorted order of image size. The module may further add at least one of advertising material, a coupon, and customer information on a space of a column on which images do not extend a width of the web layout. The printing system may also include a print engine to print the set of images and the at least one of the advertising material, coupon, and customer information on a web of substrate in the generated print layout.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An image forming system includes: a sheet conveyance section configured to convey a rolled sheet; an image forming section configured to form an image on the rolled sheet; a winding section configured to wind the rolled sheet; and a hardware processor. The hardware processor is capable of changing a print counting position on a conveyance path between the image forming section and the winding section, the print counting position at which a print is counted based on the image formed on the rolled sheet.
RECORDING DEVICE AND CUTTER UNIT
A recording device includes a transport section that transports a medium in a transport direction along a transport path, a recording section that records an image on the medium transported by the transport section, a cutter unit including a cutter blade for processing the medium in the transport path, and a cutter carriage configured to move the cutter unit in a widthwise direction intersecting the transport direction, wherein the cutter unit is attachable to and detachable from the cutter carriage, and the cutter unit enters an exposed state in which the cutter blade becomes exposed in accordance with an attachment operation of attaching the cutter unit to the cutter carriage, and enters a non-exposed state in which the cutter blade is not exposed in accordance with a detachment operation of detaching the cutter unit from the cutter carriage.
Image forming device configured to cut sheet- type medium and form image on cut medium
An image forming device comprises a media container accommodating a sheet-type medium, an image forming engine, a media conveyor configured to convey the sheet-type medium along a conveyance path from the media container to the image forming engine. The media conveyor has a plurality of conveying rollers including a first conveying roller arranged on an upstream side of the image forming engine and a second conveying roller arranged on a downstream side of the image forming engine. The image forming device further comprises a cutter arranged on an upstream side along the conveyance path with respect to the second conveying roller, and a controller. The controller is configured to control the media conveyor in such a manner that the cut sheet-type medium is conveyed and discharged toward outside after a power is on and before first execution of the image forming process.
