IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, AND CONTROL METHOD FOR IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An image forming system includes a first unit, a second unit, and a third unit. The first unit includes an image forming unit that forms an image on a sheet fed from a feed unit. The second unit is arranged on a downstream side of the first unit and includes a cutting unit that cuts the sheet on which the image is formed by the image forming unit. The third unit is arranged on a downstream side of the second unit and includes a post-processing unit that post-processes the sheet cut by the cutting unit. A sheet cut to have a first size is discharged to a first discharge unit provided in the second unit. A sheet cut to have a second size larger than the first size is discharged to a second discharge unit provided in the third unit.
Image forming apparatus and method for controlling same, and storage medium
In an image forming apparatus to which a finisher is connected, a power source control unit shifts the image forming apparatus to a power saving state. The image forming apparatus is inhibited from being shifted to the power saving state when it is detected that a sheet for which a binding process is to be performed is set in the finisher. The image forming apparatus may be permitted to be shifted to the power saving state when it is not detected that the sheet is set in the finisher.
MEDIUM PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM INCORPORATING SAME
A medium processing apparatus includes a conveyor, a liquid applier, and a crimper. The conveyor conveys a medium. The liquid applier applies liquid to the medium conveyed by the conveyor. The crimper presses and deforms a medium bundle including at least one medium to which the liquid is applied by the liquid applier, to bind the medium bundle. The liquid applier selectively performs application of the liquid to all media constituting the medium bundle or application of the liquid to only some of the media constituting the medium bundle, based on a conveyance interval at which the media are conveyed by the conveyor.
Post-Process Apparatus and Control Method
A post-process apparatus may include: a first operation portion that accepts a sheet conveyed from an image forming apparatus and performs a first operation based on a job involved with the sheet, a second operation portion that accepts a sheet manually inserted into the post-process apparatus and performs a second operation different from the first operation, and a control unit that determines timing to perform the second operation in accordance with a condition of the first operation performed.
Post-processing apparatus that detects an object
A post-processing apparatus according to an embodiment includes a processing tray, a post-processing section, a sensor, and a control section. A sheet supplied from an image forming apparatus is led into the processing tray through a lead-in path. The post-processing section applies post-processing to the sheet sent from the processing tray. The sensor detects an object passing a detection space in the lead-in path. The control section controls operation of the post-processing section based on a time in which the sensor detects the object.
SHEET BINDING APPARATUS, SHEET POST PROCESSING APPARATUS HAVING THE SHEET BINDING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM HAVING THE SHEET BINDING APPARATUS
The present invention is to provide a sheet binding apparatus capable of performing stable pressure-bonding binding processing. A sheet binding apparatus includes a moving means configured to move at least one of the first binding portion and the second binding portion to bring the first binding portion and the second binding portion into pressure contact with each other, and a plurality of peeling members configured to apply peeling force in a direction opposite to a pressure-bonding direction to peel off a bound portion of the sheets stuck to the surface when the first binding portion and the second binding portion are separated by the moving means after pressure-bonding binding processing is performed. Here, the peeling force is applied by the plurality of peeling members at different timings.
Movable post processing unit of recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes an apparatus body including a recording section configured to record onto a medium and a discharge section configured to discharge the medium recorded by the recording section, and a post-processing unit attached to the apparatus body, the post-processing unit being configured to receive the medium discharged from the discharge section and perform post-processing. The post-processing unit is configured to be moved between a receiving position at which the medium discharged from the discharge section is to be received and a discharge position to which the post-processing unit is moved from the receiving position and at which the medium discharged from the discharge section is discharged to the outside of the post-processing unit without being received into the post-processing unit.
Printing system, sheet processing apparatus, printing system control method, and storage medium for sheet detection and sheet processing
A printing system includes a printing apparatus that prints an image on a sheet, a sheet processer that executes sheet processing, and a sheet detection sensor that detects a sheet on which the sheet processing is performed not in association with the printing of an image, where the printing of an image is restricted in response to detection of a sheet by the sheet detection sensor.
Sheet transfer apparatus and bookbinding apparatus
A sheet transfer apparatus for transferring a sheet is provided with a back receiver section that rotates a sheet to transfer, and a support section that supports the back face of the back receiver section swingably. By this means, the back receiver section is capable of rotating smoothly.
Image forming system for executing stapling process
An image forming system includes a processing tray, a detecting unit, a stapling unit, a discharge tray, an instruction unit, and a control unit. Recording material, placed on the processing tray, is detected by the detecting unit. When instructed, the stapling unit can staple the detected recording material. Stapled recording material then is discharged to the discharge tray. The control unit controls switching between a first mode wherein a stapling process is executed and a second mode where the stapling unit executes the stapling process after the detecting unit detects recording material inserted into the processing tray and the execution instruction are received. If an instruction to interrupt a power supply of the image forming system is received in the second mode, the control unit causes recording material inserted into the processing tray to discharge to the discharge tray and then interrupts the power supply without the stapling process executing.
