Recording medium processing apparatus and image forming system
A recording medium processing apparatus includes first teeth that are used for binding processing of a recording medium bundle; second teeth that move toward the first teeth and press the recording medium bundle located between the first teeth and the second teeth; and a control unit that moves the second teeth toward the first teeth to press the second teeth against the first teeth in a state in which there is no recording medium bundle between the first teeth and the second teeth.
Post-processing apparatus and image forming system incorporating the post-processing apparatus
A post-processing apparatus includes a conveyor, a tray, a binder, and a binder mover. The conveyor conveys recording media on each of which an image is formed by an image forming apparatus. The tray holds the recording media conveyed by the conveyor. The binder binds the recording media on the tray with a plurality of staples in a cartridge. The binder mover includes a motor, a ratchet gear that receives a driving force of the motor to rotate in a forward direction or a reverse direction, a driving force transmitter that moves the binder toward one side in the main scanning direction as the ratchet gear rotates in the forward direction and moves the binder toward an opposite side in the main scanning direction as the ratchet gear rotates in the reverse direction, and a rotation limiter that moves between a rotation allowing position and a rotation limiting position.
FINISHER WITH COMPACT MEDIUM CONVEYING STRUCTURE
An example finisher includes a first portion extending in a vertical direction, a second portion including an entrance to receive paper as a finishing process target, and a finishing unit to perform a finishing process, the second portion extending from the first portion in a lateral direction, a stacker to receive paper discharged from the finishing unit and which extends in an opposite direction to the second portion based on the first portion, and an elevation driving unit provided on the first portion to elevate the stacker in a vertical direction.
RECORDING MATERIAL PROCESSING APPARATUS OR IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM EACH OF WHICH EXECUTES STAPLING PROCESS
A recording material processing apparatus includes a processing tray, a detecting unit, a stapling unit, an instructing unit, a control unit, a switching unit, and a notifying unit. The detecting unit detects recording material placed in the processing tray. The stapling unit executes a stapling process for the recording material placed in the processing tray. The instructing unit outputs a stapling process execution instruction. Upon receipt of the execution instruction in a state in which the detecting unit has detected a recording material inserted in the processing tray from an outside of a main body of a main body apparatus, the control unit cause the stapling process to be executed. The switching unit switches a position of the stapling unit among a plurality of positions. The notifying unit provides notification of a placement position of the recording material in the processing tray corresponding to each of the plurality of positions.
Post-processing apparatus and image forming system incorporating the post-processing apparatus
A post-processing apparatus includes a tray, a conveyor, a liquid applicator, a crimper, and a mover. The tray holds recording media on each of which an image is formed by an image forming apparatus. The conveyor conveys the recording media toward the tray in a conveyance direction of the recording media. The liquid applicator applies liquid to the recording media held in the tray at a binding position at which the recording media is bound. The crimper presses and deforms the recording media at the binding position to bind the recording media. The mover moves the liquid applicator and the crimper separately along a surface of the recording media held in the tray.
Sheet binding device, image forming apparatus
A binding unit includes first and second movable bodies. The second movable body includes first and second shaft portions. A stapler is secured to the second movable body, and the second movable body is swingably supported with the stapler by the first movable body. A first groove includes a branch part between a middle area and one end area. A second groove branches off from the branch part and is parallel to the first groove. When in a first position, a movable guide portion guides the first shaft portion from the branch part to the second groove. When the first shaft portion moves to the second groove through the branch part, the movable guide portion swings from the first position to a second position. When the second shaft portion reaches the branch part, the movable guide portion in the second position guides the second shaft portion along the first groove.
Sheet bundle discharging apparatus and bookbinding apparatus
A sheet bundle discharging apparatus K, including: a conveyance unit 66 configured to convey a sheet bundle; a guide unit 72 configured to guide the sheet bundle conveyed by the conveyance unit; a discharging unit 90 configured to discharge the sheet bundle to an outside of the sheet bundle discharging apparatus; and a receiving unit 81 configured to receive the sheet bundle guided by the guide unit, wherein the receiving unit includes: a contact portion 81c with which a leading end portion of the sheet bundle, which is guided by the guide unit, in a moving direction of the sheet bundle is to be brought into contact; and a pushing portion 81b, which is formed integrally with the contact portion, and is configured to push a first surface of the sheet bundle, and wherein the receiving unit is rotatable between a first position and a second position, and is configured to receive the sheet bundle in the first position and rotate from the first position to the second position, thereby allowing the pushing portion to push the first surface of the sheet bundle to place a second surface of the sheet bundle, which is on a side opposite to the first surface, on the discharging unit.
Image forming system, sheet processing device, and control method of sheet processing device
A sheet processing device includes a post-processing unit, a process tray, a first sensor, a second sensor, and a control unit. The post-processing unit performs post-processing on the sheet. The process tray places the sheet to be post-processed on the upper surface. The first sensor is disposed on the upper side of the process tray. The first sensor outputs a first signal corresponding to a first distance to an object which is disposed at a first position of the process tray. The second sensor is disposed on the upper side of the process tray. The second sensor outputs a second signal corresponding to a second distance to the object which is disposed at a second position on the downstream side in a sheet discharge direction from the first position of the process tray. The control unit controls the post-processing using the first signal and the second signal.
Post-processing device and image forming system
An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus and a post-processing device. The image forming apparatus includes a scanner reading image data from a sheet, an image forming part forming an image on the sheet, and a sheet ejecting part ejecting the sheet after forming the image. The post-processing device includes a post-processing conveying path, and a stapling part. The post-processing conveying path introduces the sheet from the sheet ejecting part and conveys the sheet. The stapling part collects sheets conveyed on the post-processing conveying path for each predetermined number of sheets and executes staple processing to the sheets. The image forming apparatus or the post-processing device includes a size deciding part deciding a sheet size based on the image data. The post-processing device includes a staple controlling part determining a binding position for the staple processing on the basis of the sheet size.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM FOR EXECUTING STAPLE PROCESSING
An image forming system includes a detection unit to detect a recording material, having an image formed thereon by an image forming unit, placed on a processing tray, a staple unit, a discharge unit, and a discharge tray. A first mode of the system is to discharge the recording material conveyed from the image forming unit to the discharge tray via the processing tray and a second mode involves waiting for instruction for executing. When the detection unit detects the recording material inserted into the processing tray in the second mode, and a recording material first mode conveying instruction is issued in a state of waiting for the executing instruction after the recording material detection, a discharge operation is performed to discharge the recording material inserted into the processing tray to the discharge tray without the staple unit executing staple processing on the recording material inserted into the processing tray.
