Fitness systems and methods
The invention is directed to systems and methods that can determine a user's fitness based on a single factor such as oxygen lung volume (pmVO2). A heart rate measurement is conducted on the user after the user performs a physical test specified by a fitness application of the system. The heart rate measurement is converted into a pmVO2 value and compared to pmVO2 values of other individuals. The system assigns the user a fitness grade based on the comparison result. The system further includes an artificial intelligent system that helps the user to move from a grade to a higher grade.
Biological information measurement device, biological information measurement method, and medium storing biological information measurement program
A biological information measurement device includes a heart rate counting unit for measuring an HR value indicating a heart rate on a basis of heart-rate data obtained by capturing heartbeats when a subject to be measured exercises, an analysis unit for performing power spectrum analysis on a heart rate variability frequency of the heart-rate data to calculate an LF value which is an integral value of low frequency components, and a detection unit for obtaining an HR/LF value by dividing the HR value by the LF value with respect to exercise intensity of the subject to be measured.
Notifications on a user device based on activity detected by an activity monitoring device
Methods, systems and devices are provided for motion-activated display of messages on an activity monitoring device. In one embodiment, method for presenting a message on an activity monitoring device is provided, including the following method operations: downloading a plurality of messages to the device; detecting a stationary state of the device; detecting a movement of the device from the stationary state; in response to detecting the movement from the stationary state, selecting one of a plurality of messages, and displaying the selected message on the device.
Exercise biofeedback using sensor-equipped athletic garments
An exercise feedback system monitors the performance of athletes wearing a garment with sensors while exercising. The sensors generate physiological data such as muscle activation data, heart rate data, or data describing the athlete's movement. The system extracts features from the physiological data and compares the features with reference exercise data to determine metrics of performance and biofeedback. Based on the physiological data, the system may also modify exercise training programs for the athlete. The exercise feedback system can display the biofeedback using visuals or audio, as well as modified exercise training programs, via the athlete's client device in real time while the athlete is exercising. By reviewing the biofeedback, the athlete may correct the athlete's exercise form to properly use the target muscles for the exercise, or change the certain workouts to personalize the training program.
Photoelectric sensor, photoelectric measurement method and heart rate measurement equipment
A photoelectric sensor can include: a lighting element configured to generate a first optical signal, where a second optical signal is generated by reflection of the first optical signal when emitting an object; a driving circuit configured to drive the lighting element; a photoelectric conversion circuit configured to generate a first optical current in accordance with the second optical signal; and a programmable current amplifier circuit configured to sample and hold the first optical current when the lighting element is in operation, and to generate a second optical current when the lighting element is out of operation in one detection period, where the second optical current lasts for at least one working period in the detection period, and where the second optical current represents the first optical current.
Vehicle operation based on activity tracking
A vehicle includes a vehicle computing system (VCS) and an adaptive cruise control module, a lane departure warning (LDW) module, a navigation system, or an alert mechanism (e.g., audible, visual or tactile). The VCS communicates with an activity tracking device worn by a vehicle driver. The activity tracking device detects and records biometric characteristics of the driver, and is capable of exchanging data with the VCS. The VCS generates at least one output signal based on data from the activity tracking device. An adaptive cruise control module may increase the distance between the vehicle and a tracking vehicle based on the signal. A navigation system may generate a recommended parking location based on a difference between step goals and current steps detected by the activity tracking device.
Method of gait evaluation and training with differential pressure system
There is described an integrated unweighted gait training system having an unweighting system comprising a computer controller; a gait measurement system in communication with the controller; and a display in communication with the computer controller adapted and configured to provide real-time feedback to a user of the integrated unweighting gait training system. The unweighting system may be a differential air pressure (DAP) unweighting system or a non-DAP unweighting system.
Method and apparatus to provide monitoring
An activity band designed to be wearable 24 hours a day, and able to monitor the user's activity level when awake and asleep, comprising an accelerometer to detect motion of a user, a first interface to enable the activity band to be coupled to a computer system, and an analysis logic to analyze the user's motion.
System and methods to predict serum lactate level
A method to quantitatively predict a patient's serum lactate level, comprising measuring arterial blood pressure and heart rate from the patient, computing estimates of one or more cardiovascular parameters from the measured arterial blood pressure and heart rate, providing one or more classifiers that have been trained on a training data set including a reference set of arterial blood pressure, heart rate, and serum lactate levels and using the one or more classifiers to estimate the serum lactate level of the patient.
FITNESS ACTIVITY RELATED MESSAGING
In one embodiment, a method for generating a message to a friend of a user is provided, comprising: processing activity data of a first user measured by an activity monitoring device to update a value of an activity metric for the first user; identifying a change in an inequality relationship between the value of the activity metric for the first user and a value of the activity metric for a second user; in response to identifying the change in the inequality relationship, prompting the first user to generate a message to the second user.
