Systems, Methods, and Devices for Evaluating Lead Placement Based on Patient Physiological Responses
20190217099 · 2019-07-18 ·

A first value of an electrical stimulation parameter of an electrical stimulation therapy that resulted in a first physiological response for a patient is identified. The electrical stimulation therapy is delivered at least in part through a lead that is implanted inside the patient. Based on the first value, a limit of a second value of the electrical stimulation parameter that should result in a second physiological response for the patient is determined. An actual second value of the electrical stimulation parameter that actually resulted in the second physiological response for the patient is identified. Based on a comparison of the limit of the second value and the actual second value, an implantation of the lead is evaluated.

DEVICE FOR MEASUREMENT, DIAGNOSIS AND/OR THERAPY OF THE STRENGTH OF THE HUMAN FINGER, HAND, ARM AND/OR SHOULDER

The present invention concerns the field of medical technology and relates to a device for the measurement, diagnosis, and/or therapy of the strength of the human finger, hand, arm, and/or shoulder, as can for example be used to measure bending strength. The object of the invention is to specify a device with which a multi-functional measurement, diagnosis, and/or therapy of the strength of the human finger, hand, arm, and/or shoulder is possible on one device. The object is attained by a device composed at least of a base plate and force-measuring sensors, of which at least one sensor comprises a puller bolt passing therethrough and this force-measuring sensor is positioned in a stationary manner on one side of the base plate and is connected to an actuation part in a force-fit via the puller bolt, furthermore in the region of the base plate a guide for additional force-measuring sensors is present and movable auxiliary devices can also be present.

PEG FOR REHABILITATION

A peg (3) is placed on a peg board (2) by a subject. A detection unit (32) detects a contact state between a peg body (31) and a body portion of the subject. A signal transmission unit (33) transmits a signal indicative of a detection result from the detection unit (32).

Apparatus for Assessing User Frailty

An apparatus for assessing user frailty is disclosed. In embodiments, the apparatus includes a housing that defines (or is defined by) a body and a handle coupled to the body. The apparatus includes a force sensor at least partially disposed within the handle. The apparatus further includes an inertial sensor at least partially disposed within the housing. The apparatus may further include a user interface device disposed within a cavity of the body. The user interface device may be coupled to the force sensor and the inertial sensor via one or more signal paths. In embodiments, the user interface device includes a controller with a touchscreen coupled to the controller.

Method and system for behavioral monitoring

A method of analysis is disclosed. The method comprises: receiving from a mobile device of a subject sensor data and/or device state data, analyzing the data to provide at least one behavioral pattern associated with the subject, comparing the behavioral pattern with a reference behavioral pattern, and estimating the likelihood that the subject is experiencing or is expected to experience an abnormal condition based on the comparison.

DYNAMOMETER

A dynamometer may include a grip portion extending along a longitudinal axis for gripping by at least a portion of a human hand or foot, and a sensor or plurality of sensors distributed along or below a surface of the grip portion. The sensor or plurality of sensors are configured to detect force exerted by the portion of the human hand or foot in directions radial and tangential to the grip portion such that grip strength and wrist strength of the human may be sensed by the sensor or plurality of sensors.

Apparatus and method for analyzing a golf swing

The system analyzes a golf swing, determining individual joint powers generated in a player's body with high levels of accuracy, using inverse dynamics and detailed modelling of the player's body. A depth camera is used to measure body segment shapes and a magnetic motion capture system and 3D force plate system used to measure swing parameters. The system produces an expeditious analysis without the need for highly skilled technical personnel and is suitable for individual coaching and compilation of large golf swing databases.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PREDICTING AUDIENCE VIEWING BEHAVIOR

The present invention is directed to a method and system for predicting the behavior of an audience based on the biologically based responses of the audience to a presentation that provides a sensory stimulating experience and determining a measure of the level and pattern of engagement of that audience to the presentation. In particular, the invention is directed to a method and system for predicting whether an audience is likely to view a presentation in its entirety. In addition, the present invention may be used to determine the point at which an audience is likely to change their attention to an alternative sensory stimulating experience including fast forwarding through recorded content, changing the channel or leaving the room when viewing live content, or otherwise redirecting their engagement from the sensory stimulating experience.

GRIP STRENGTH DETECTION MECHANISM, EXERCISE APPARATUS PROVIDED WITH GRIP STRENGTH DETECTION MECHANISM, AND METHOD FOR USING EXERCISE APPARATUS
20190159714 · 2019-05-30 ·

Provided are a grip strength detection mechanism, an exercise apparatus provided with the same, and a method for using the same. The exercise apparatus is provided with: a grip part 12 comprising a cylindrical flexible member; sealing members 13, 16 which seal both ends of the grip part 12 to form a deformable sealed space 18 which is surrounded by the grip part 12; a pressure sensor 28 which is held by the sealing member 16 and detects the pressure within the sealed space 18; and a control unit which detects, as the pressure within the grip part, a reference grip strength which is not more than the maximum grip strength detected by the pressure sensor 28 in order to display, on a display unit 7, the grip strength of a user gripping the grip part 12.
