DEVICE AND METHOD FOR USE IN INDUCTIVE SENSING
An inductive sensing device (22) is for sensing at two different frequencies. The device includes an antenna (24) which comprises at least two loop parts (30, 32), each loop part coupled to a different respective tuning capacitor (36a, 36b) to thereby provide different respective resonant frequencies for the first and second loop parts. The two loop parts are jointly connected to a shared input connection (38) for receiving driving signals for driving both antenna parts. A control means (44) controls a drive circuit (34) to supply the antenna, via the shared input connection, drive signals of each of the frequencies, implementing switching between the two.
INTRACARDIAC CATHETER DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
An apparatus includes a longitudinal member having a proximal end and a distal end. The longitudinal member is configured to be located near a tissue region in a body of a patient. A measuring device is configured and sized to be located proximal to the distal end of the longitudinal member. The measuring device includes a magnetic sensor configured to measure biomagnetism and output magnetic flux data. A signal processing device is coupled to the magnetic sensor and configured to convert the output magnetic flux data to a digital representation of the output magnetic flux data. A method of measuring electrical activity using the apparatus is also disclosed.
Magnetometry Based on Electron Spin Defects
A magnetometer includes: a substrate; a diamond layer on the substrate, in which the diamond layer includes a defect sub-layer including multiple lattice point defects; a microwave field transmitter; an optical source configured to emit light including a first wavelength that excites the multiple lattice point defects from a ground state to an excited state; a photodetector arranged to detect photoluminescence including a second wavelength emitted from the defect sub-layer, in which the first wavelength is different from the second wavelength; and a magnet arranged adjacent to the defect sub-layer.
Method and system for evaluation of functional cardiac electrophysiology
An organ evaluation device, system, or method is configured to receive electrophysiological data from a patient or model organism and integrates the data in a computational backend environment with anatomical data input from an external source, spanning a plurality of file formats, where the input parameters are combined to visualize and output current density and/or current flow activity having ampere-based units displayed in the spatial context of heart or other organ anatomy.
Biomagnetism measurement device
A biomagnetism measurement device includes a tubular body, an inflatable portion inflatable upon supply of gas, and a magnetic sensor portion that detects a magnetic field from outside the tubular body. The inflatable portion is located at a required region of the tubular body, and the magnetic sensor portion is fixed to an inner wall of the inflatable portion. The tubular body and the inflatable portion include the same material, and the wall thickness of the inflatable portion is thinner than that of the tubular body.
Bioelectric stimulator
Described is a low voltage, pulsed electrical stimulation device for controlling expression of, for example, follistatin, a muscle formation promotion protein, by tissues. Epicardial stimulation is especially useful for heart treatment. Follistatin controlled release is also useful for treating other ailments, such as erectile dysfunction, aortic aneurysm, and failing heart valves.
