Image forming apparatus having rotatable original reading portion and cover member
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion provided with an opening portion through which a cartridge is removably mounted and a cover member opening and closing the opening portion. An original reading portion is pivotable about a first rotation axis. The cover member is pivotable about a second rotation axis parallel to the first rotation axis. A force is applied to pivot the original reading portion so that an engagement portion of the original reading portion slides on a sliding face of the cover member to apply a force from the engagement portion to the sliding face to pivot the cover member. In a cross section orthogonal to the first rotation axis, a first portion of the sliding face approaches the original reading portion from one end side on which the first and the second rotation axes are provided toward an opposite side.
Process Unit
A process unit includes a drum frame supporting a photoconductor drum and a development frame supporting a development roller. The development cartridge is swingably supported by the drum frame at a coupling joint provided at a first side of the development frame and a support portion provided at a second side of the development frame. A center of rotation of the development roller is located in a position shifted from a line segment connecting a center of rotation of the coupling joint and a center of rotation of the photoconductor drum to an upstream side with respect to a direction of rotation of the coupling joint as viewed in an axial direction of the development roller, such that the development roller is pressed against the photoconductor drum by the action of the rotatory force received by the coupling joint.
SAFETY MECHANISM FOR PRINTING APPARATUS
Example safety mechanisms for example printing apparatuses are provided. An example printing apparatus may include at least one linear guide disposed on a first surface of a back-spine section of a printer body and a top chassis portion coupled to the at least one linear guide. In some examples, the top chassis portion may include a laser safety casing. In some examples, the laser safety casing may comprise a laser module configured to emit a laser beam along a laser path and a safety cover that is moveable to a first cover position intersecting the laser path.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a housing having an opening, a cover movable between an open position and a closed position, a first photoconductive drum and a second photoconductive drum, a first exposing head having a first boss and rotatably coupled to the cover, a second exposing head having a second boss and rotatably coupled to the cover, and a cam rotatably coupled to each of the first exposing head and the second exposing head. The cam is configured to rotate each of the first exposing head and the second exposing head. The cam includes (i) a first elongated hole into which the first boss fits and extending a direction intersecting a movement direction in which the cam moves and (ii) a second elongated hole into which the second boss fits and extending in a direction intersecting the movement direction of the cam.
Image forming apparatus having cover with maneuver lever for actuating locking members
An image forming apparatus includes a housing, a cover, a maneuver lever, a first locking member, and a second locking member. The cover is attached to the housing and is rotatable about a rotation axis. The maneuver lever is attached to the cover and extends parallel to the rotation axis. The first and second locking members are attached to the cover and are configured to engage with the maneuver lever. The first locking member is rotatable about a first axis perpendicular to the rotation axis between a locked position and an unlocked position. The second locking member is rotatable about a second axis parallel to the first axis between a locked position and an unlocked position. When the maneuver lever moves from the closed position to the open position, each of the first locking member and the second locking member rotates from the locked position to the unlocked position.
Image formation apparatus with movable unit supporting image formation unit
An image formation apparatus according to an embodiment may include: an apparatus body; an image formation unit configured to form an image; a movable unit accommodated in the apparatus body and supporting the image formation unit; a guide part configured to guide the movable unit from an inside of the apparatus body in a pull-out direction; a first rotatable member provided to the apparatus body and configured to guide the movable unit in the pull-out direction; and a second rotatable member provided to the movable unit and configured to be engaged with the guide part at a position on an upstream side of the first rotatable member in the pull-out direction. In a state where the movable unit is guided by the first rotatable member with the movable unit being moved in the pull-out direction, the second rotatable member and the guide part are disengaged from each other.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus main body to which a cartridge is detachably attached. The apparatus main body includes a frame having an opening portion through which the cartridge is attached to the apparatus main body; an opening and closing member supported by the frame rotatably between an open position in which the opening portion is exposed and a closed position in which the opening portion is covered with the opening and closing member and having a stacking surface on which a sheet is to be stacked; a discharging roller discharging the sheet in a discharging direction onto the stacking surface; and a regulating wall which is movably attached to the opening and closing member and extends from the stacking surface toward the discharging roller in a direction intersecting the discharging direction to regulate an upstream edge of the sheet in the discharging direction.
Image forming apparatus with coaxially rotatable cover member and sub cover member
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus main body; a cover member that is provided rotatable in a rotation direction about a rotation axis with respect to the apparatus main body, having an opening part, a fuser that fuses a toner image formed on each medium of media wherein the fuser is attached to the apparatus main body by being inserted through the opening part and detached from the apparatus main body by being pulled out of the opening part; and a sub cover member that has an surface portion and is attached to the fuser, wherein in a state in which the fuser is attached to the image forming apparatus, the surface portion of the sub cover is arranged within the opening part, the sub cover member moves in the rotation direction in correspondence with the rotation of the cover member.
Driving device, apparatus including openable/closeable member, and image forming apparatus
A driving device includes a driving source, a fixing portion to which the driving source is fixed, a first transmission portion attached to the fixing portion to transmit a driving force from the driving source, a second transmission portion engaged with the first transmission portion while having an intermeshing width in a first direction to receive the driving force from the first transmission portion, a mount portion located in the first direction from the fixing portion and to which the second transmission portion is attached, a fastening portion including a mounted portion disposed on a side of the fixing portion opposite to a side facing the mount portion, the fastening portion fastening the fixing portion and the mount portion to each other, a first cushioning member disposed between the mounted portion and the fixing portion, and a second cushioning member disposed between the fixing portion and the mount portion, and having a greater spring constant than the first cushioning member.
