An image forming apparatus includes: a body housing; an image forming unit configured to form a developer image on a sheet; a fixing device configured to be detached from an accommodate compartment of the body housing and configured to fix the developer image on the sheet; an outer cover moveable between a closed position where the accommodate compartment is covered and an opened position where the accommodate compartment is uncovered; and a sheet guide provided between the fixing device and the outer cover and configured to guide, to the image forming unit, the sheet discharged from the fixing device. The sheet guide is rotatably supported by the body housing about a first guide axis, and is moveable between a working position close to the fixing device and a retracted position rotated from the working position to outside of the body housing.

An image forming apparatus includes a housing to store an image forming unit that forms an image on a sheet, doors, a cover part, and holding members. Each of the doors rotates around a rotational axis to be opened and closed relative to the housing and includes a positioning shaft and a projection. When each of the doors is in an opened state, an inside of the image forming apparatus is exposed. The cover part is provided in the housing and has fitting holes into which the positioning shafts are fitted. Each of the holding members holds a different one of the doors in a closed state. When each of the doors is in the closed state, each of the positioning shafts included in the doors is fitted into a different one of the fitting holes.

An electronic apparatus includes a main body, a door, and a projecting member. The door is attached to the main body to be openable and closable with respect to the main body and covers components contained in the main body. The projecting member projects from an inside surface of the door toward an interior of the main body. The projecting member is graspable by a user.

An image forming apparatus includes a casing, an image forming unit, an outer cover, a first inner cover arranged to face an inner side of the outer cover in a closed state, the first inner cover being made of resin, a second inner cover arranged to face the inner side of the outer cover in the closed state, the second inner cover being made of resin, a first fan, and a second fan. The first inner cover includes a first duct configured to guide air taken in from an exterior of the image forming apparatus by rotation of the first fan to the image forming unit. The second inner cover includes a second duct configured to guide air taken in from the exterior of the image forming apparatus by rotation of the second fan to the image forming unit.

An image forming apparatus includes a conductive frame, a first support portion that is provided on the frame and is conductive to the frame, a door configured to be opened such that an inside of the image forming apparatus is accessed, the door including a metal portion, a second support portion that is conductive to the metal portion, is pivotably connected to the first support portion about a pivot shaft, and is configured to support the door, and a contact portion that is conductive to the metal portion and comes into contact with and is conductive to the first support portion in a case where the door is in a closed state, and a holding mechanism configured to hold the door in the closed state.

An image forming device comprises a fixing device that switches between a pressing state and a pressure-released state of a pressing member with respect to a rotatable fixing member by means of a switching member; and a first access member that covers the fixing device when the first access member is in a closed state, and exposes the fixing device when the first access member is in an opened state, wherein the fixing device includes a second access member that covers a component in a fixing device body when the second access member is in a closed state, and covers the component when the second access member is in an opened state, when closed from the opened state, the first access member activates the switching member to set the pressing member to the pressing state from the pressure-released state, and when opened from the closed state, the second access member activates the switching member to set the pressing member to the pressure-released state from the pressing state.

An image forming apparatus includes a restriction mechanism that restricts movement of a pin of an image formation unit within a cutaway of a housing, wherein the restriction mechanism includes: a pressing lever pivotally movable from a position of abutment on the pin at lateral to the cutaway toward a direction away from the cutaway; an opening/closing lever pivotally movable with a closing movement of the cover; and an elastic member disposed in an elastically deformed state between the pressing lever and the opening/closing lever to apply to the pressing lever a load opposite to the direction away from the cutaway, wherein when the cover is open, the elastic member applies a first load to the pressing lever, and wherein when the cover is closed, the opening/closing lever pivotally moves to further elastically deform the elastic member and thus apply to the pressing lever a second load greater than the first load.

An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body including an opening portion, an detachable unit, a door, and a holding member including a first end portion connected to the apparatus body and a second end portion connected to the door, the holding member being configured to move together with the door and to hold the door positioned at the open position. The holding member is movable from a first position to a second position in a state where the door is positioned at the open position, the first position being a position at which the holding member overlaps with an attachment-and-detachment trajectory of the detachable unit, the second position being a position at which the holding member does not overlap with the attachment-and-detachment trajectory of the detachable unit and allows the detachable unit to be attached to and detached from the apparatus body.

An image forming apparatus includes a restriction mechanism that restricts movement of a pin of an image formation unit within a cutaway of a housing, wherein the restriction mechanism includes: a pressing lever pivotally movable from a position of abutment on the pin at lateral to the cutaway toward a direction away from the cutaway; an opening/closing lever pivotally movable with a closing movement of the cover; and an elastic member disposed in an elastically deformed state between the pressing lever and the opening/closing lever to apply to the pressing lever a load opposite to the direction away from the cutaway, wherein when the cover is open, the elastic member applies a first load to the pressing lever, and wherein when the cover is closed, the opening/closing lever pivotally moves to further elastically deform the elastic member and thus apply to the pressing lever a second load greater than the first load.

A pressure switching device includes a switch that switches between a pressing state in which a first opposed member presses against a second opposed member with predetermined pressure and a pressure decrease state in which the first opposed member is disposed opposite the second opposed member with no pressure or decreased pressure smaller than the predetermined pressure. A slide aid contacts one of the switch and an operation member as the operation member moves toward the switch. The slide aid is mounted on another one of the switch and the operation member. A vibration isolating member is interposed between the slide aid and the another one of the switch and the operation member. The slide aid has a hardness that is greater than a hardness of the vibration isolating member.
