PROJECTION SYSTEM AND PROJECTION METHOD
The disclosure provides a projection system and a projection method. The projection system includes a projection device. The projection device includes a projection module, a controller, and an audio player. The controller is coupled to the projection module. The audio player is coupled to the controller. When the controller executes the prepare-for-sleep mode, the controller operates the projection module to dim a projection beam or to project a predetermined projection image and operates the audio player to play a predetermined sound.
Spatial and temporal-based diffusive correlation spectroscopy systems and methods
A system includes an assembly, a pinhole array, and a processor. The assembly includes a K by L photodetector array comprising a plurality of photodetectors and configured to detect light that exits a body at a second location after the light enters the body at a first location different than the second location and scatters within the body, and output a plurality of electronic signals representative of the detected light as a function of time. The pinhole array has a K by L array of pinholes configured to be aligned with the photodetectors and is configured to allow a certain amount of light to be incident upon each of the photodetectors. The processor is configured to generate a correlation map that includes a plurality of spatiotemporal correlation measure values corresponding to the light detected by the photodetector array.

DEVICE AND METHOD TO ACTIVATE CELL STRUCTURES BY MEANS OF ELECTROMAGNETIC ENERGY
A stimulation device includes an energy source; an electronics unit; an actuator that is coupled with the electronics unit and/or the energy source. The electronics unit includes a controller. The energy source, the electronics unit and the actuator are arranged in a housing. A fixing unit which is coupled with the housing and affixes the stimulation device on a heart or in a heart. The actuator emits electromagnetic waves for the stimulation of genetically manipulated tissue, and the controller controls the stimulation of the tissue by way of the electromagnetic waves of the actuator.
Portable polysomnography apparatus and system
A portable polysomnography apparatus comprises a unitary flexible structured pillow that is embedded with one or more sensors for data collection. The one or more sensors can comprise a tilt sensor that is configured to generate respiratory effort signals based on tilting of the head of the subject on the pillow. The one or more sensors can further be configured to generate ballistocardiogram signals from movement of the head of the subject caused by beating of the heart of the subject. The polysomnography apparatus can be advantageously sized and shaped to cause the sleeping subject to properly orient her head with respect to the sensors for optimal data collection while the subject is asleep.

SURGICAL NAVIGATION WITH STEREOVISION AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A surgical guidance system has two cameras to provide stereo image stream of a surgical field; and a stereo viewer. The system has a 3D surface extraction module that generates a first 3D model of the surgical field from the stereo image streams; a registration module for co-registering annotating data with the first 3D model; and a stereo image enhancer for graphically overlaying at least part of the annotating data onto the stereo image stream to form an enhanced stereo image stream for display, where the enhanced stereo stream enhances a surgeon’s perception of the surgical field. The registration module has an alignment refiner to adjust registration of the annotating data with the 3D model based upon matching of features within the 3D model and features within the annotating data; and in an embodiment, a deformation modeler to deform the annotating data based upon a determined tissue deformation.
Pain estimating device, pain estimating method, and pain classification
Provided is a pain estimating device with which it is possible to estimate objectively and accurately pain being experienced by a subject. A pain estimating device 110 estimates the magnitude of pain being experienced by a subject, on the basis of brainwaves of the subject, and is provided with: a measurement unit 111 which acquires a plurality of items of brainwave data or analysis data thereof by measuring brainwaves from the subject a plurality of times; and an estimation unit 112 which estimates the relative magnitude of the pain being experienced when the brainwave measurements were conducted a plurality of times, from the plurality of items of brainwave data or the analysis data thereof (for example the amplitude), on the basis of the linearity of a relationship between the brainwave data or the analysis data thereof (for example the amplitude) and the pain. The present invention also provides a pain estimating method and device with which it is possible to estimate objectively and accurately pain being experienced by a subject, and to classify simply the quality and quantity thereof. The present invention also provides a method for generating a pain classification value for classifying pain being experienced by the subject, on the basis of brainwaves of the subject.
