Mediation of traumatic brain injury
Provided are systems, methods, and devices for providing mediation of a traumatic brain injury. Systems may include an interface, processing devices, and a controller. The interface is configured to obtain measurements from a brain of a user with a traumatic brain injury. A first processing device is configured to generate multiple brain state parameters characterizing one or more features of a brain state of the user. A second processing device is configured to generate models of the brain of the user based on the plurality of brain state parameters and the plurality of measurements, and determine, using the models and training data comprising one or more mediation data points, a mediation procedure for reducing one or more symptoms of the traumatic brain injury. The mediation procedure is provided to one or more entities, and one or more control signals are generated by the controller based on the mediation procedure.
Communicating Information Via A Computer-Implemented Agent
Techniques and systems for communicating information via a computer-implemented agent are described. A computing device may obtain sensor data of an individual, such as visual data, audible data, physiological data, or combinations thereof. An emotional state of the individual may be determined based on the sensor data. A communications framework may be identified based on the emotional state of the individual. The communications framework may indicate a manner in which the computer-implemented agent communicates information to the individual. For example, the communications framework may specify voice features, facial features, body language, positioning in the environment, or combinations thereof, that may be utilized to produce a representation of a computer-implemented agent that communicates information to the individual. In some cases, the individual may provide feedback indicating a preference to have the computer-implemented agent communicate information in a different manner.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ANALYZING BRAIN ACTIVITY AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF
In some embodiments, the present invention provides an exemplary inventive system that includes: an apparatus to record: individual's brain electrical activity, a physiological parameter of the individual, and iii) an environmental parameter; a computer processor configured to perform: obtaining a recording of the electrical signal data; projecting the obtained recording of electrical signal data onto a pre-determined ordering of a denoised optimal set wavelet packet atoms to obtain a set of projections; normalizing the particular set of projections of the individual using a pre-determined set of normalization factors to form a set of normalized projections; determining a personalized mental state of the individual by assigning a brain state; determining a relationship between: the physiological parameter, the environmental parameter, and the personalized mental state; generating an output, including: a visual indication, representative of the personalized mental state, and) a feedback output configured to affect the personalized mental state of the individual.
BRAIN ACTIVITY MONITORING, SUPPORTING MENTAL STATE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING
Embodiments of the present invention are directed towards a system and method for determining an extent of concussion experienced by a user. The method includes receiving, by a computing device, electroencephalogram (EEG) data related to the user from an external device associated with the user. The method further includes determining, by the computing device, the extent of concussion based on the EEG data, displaying, by the computing device data related to the extent of concussion. The method further includes determining the extent of concussion based on the EEG data related to brain activities of the user before the user is concussed, during the time of concussion, and after the user is concussed. Embodiments of the present invention further helps in developing technical skills in the users during training apart from helping them realize or visualize the concussion and impact of the concussion during training or while participating in athletic activities.
APPARATUS FOR MONITORING OF A PATIENT UNDERGOING A MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGE SCAN
The present invention relates to an apparatus (10) for monitoring of a patient undergoing a Magnetic Resonance Image (MRI) scan. The apparatus comprises an input unit (20), a processing unit (30), and an output unit (40). The input unit is configured to provide the processing unit with at least one sensor data of a patient undergoing an MRI scan by an MRI scanner. The input unit is configured to provide the processing unit with at least one scan parameter of the MRI scanner for the MRI scan. The input unit is configured to provide the processing unit with at least one characteristic of the patient. The processing unit is configured to predict a stress level of the patient and/or a predicted motion state of the patient, the prediction or predictions comprising utilization of the at least one sensor data of the patient, the at least one scan parameter of the MRI scanner, and the at least one characteristic of the patient. The output unit is configured to output information relating to the predicted stress level of the patient and/or the predicted motion state of the patient.
Method and System for Monitoring Brain Function and Intracranial Pressure
Embodiments of the present systems and methods may provide improved, automated monitoring of brain function. In embodiments, a multimodal, multi-sensor monitoring device may provide to monitoring of the full spectrum of brain function. In an embodiment, a system for monitoring brain function of a subject may include an apparatus for mounting a plurality of stimulus and response sensors on a head of the subject, including a cognizance stimuli-sensor suite, a physiologic sensor suite, and advance monitoring devices such as a transcranial Doppler puck, an electroencephalograph monitor, and an optic nerve sheath parameter sensor.
