DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR ASSESSING SLEEP DISORDERS
Methods, systems, and devices for assessing breathing disorders such as apneas and hypopneas are provided. An airflow monitoring device can be positioned in thermal communication with respiratory airflow (nasal and/or oral airflow). The airflow monitoring device can include a thermistor configured to measure heating and cooling cycles of respiratory airflow and determine respiratory airflow velocity from analysis of thermistor cooling. This velocity, alone or in combination with other physiological parameters, such as blood oxygen saturation, respiration effort, heart rate, body movement, etc. can be employed to assess sleep disorders.
MEDICAL MONITORING HUB
The present disclosure includes a medical monitoring hub as the center of monitoring for a monitored patient. The hub includes configurable medical ports and serial ports for communicating with other medical devices in the patient's proximity. Moreover, the hub communicates with a portable patient monitor. The monitor, when docked with the hub provides display graphics different from when undocked, the display graphics including anatomical information. The hub assembles the often vast amount of electronic medical data, associates it with the monitored patient, and in some embodiments, communicates the data to the patient's medical records.

Magnetic Stimulation With Variable Pulsed Intervals
A method of modulating a brain activity of a mammal is achieved by subjecting the mammal to repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) with an rTMS apparatus at variable pulse intervals for a time sufficient to modulate said brain activity. Improvement in a physiological condition or a clinical condition is achieved. Conditions to be treated include but are not limited to PTSD, autism spectrum disorder and Alzheimer's disease. Wavelet transform analysis is used to determine the variable pulse intervals employed.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ANNOTATING AND ANALYZING EEG WAVEFORMS
Systems and methods of the present invention provide for storing an annotated set of confirmed epileptiform discharges (ED) waveforms in a database; receiving, by a computing device, a signal encoding electroencephalograph (EEG) data from a plurality of electrodes each attached to a subject and detecting EEG data; generating a user interface displaying a plurality of waveforms based upon at least a portion of the EEG data; receiving an initial selection of a portion of one of the plurality of waveforms comprising an ED; identifying a list of candidate waveforms including potential EDs by determining an alignment of the initial selection with a portion of one of the plurality of waveforms in the EEG data; displaying the list of candidate waveforms on the user interface; receiving, from the user and via the user interface, an identification of a subset of the list of candidate waveforms; and storing the subset of the list of candidate waveforms as an annotated list of confirmed EDs in the database.
SLEEP MONITORING METHOD AND APPARATUS, SLEEP AID DEVICE AND METHOD
A sleep testing method, a sleep testing apparatus, a sleep-aiding device, and a sleep-aiding method are described. The sleep testing method comprises: acquiring an electroencephalogram signal of a user; processing the electroencephalogram signal to obtain energy values of the electroencephalogram signal in a plurality of set frequency bands; calculating a relative energy value of the electroencephalogram signal in the plurality of set frequency bands; and determining a sleep state, mental stress and the degree of fatigue according to the relative energy value. According to the sleep testing method, the sleep state, the mental stress, and the degree of fatigue of a user can be simultaneously determined just according to an electroencephalogram signal, and a plurality of pieces of testing data related to sleep can be obtained in a single instance of testing.
