Systems and methods for decoding intended motor commands from recorded neural signals for the control of external devices or to interact in virtual environments

Systems and methods for decoding neural and/or electromyographic signals are provided. A system can include at least one single channel decoder. Optionally, the system can include a demixer in operable communication with the single channel decoders. Each single channel decoder can include a filter to attenuate noise and sharpen spikes in the neural and/or electromyographic signals, a detection function to identify spikes, and a demodulator to get a real-time estimate of motor intent.

Real-time multi-functional ECG signal processing system, DSPE for the ECG signal processing system, and method thereof

An electrocardiogram (ECG) signal processing system is provided. The ECG signal processing system comprises an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) configured to convert an input analog ECG signal into a digital ECG signal, and a digital signal processing engine (DSPE) coupled to the ADC to receive the digital ECG signal. The DSPE is configured to decompose and reconstruct the digital ECG signal. A dynamic system clock source is coupled to the ADC and the DSPE for dynamic signal sampling, the dynamic system clock source clocking the ADC and the DSPE at a first frequency f1 to detect one or more first parameters of the input analog ECG signal and at a second frequency f2 to detect one or more second parameters of the input analog ECG signal.

Systems and associated methods for use of patterns in processing on mobile monitoring device

An arrangement may include a first system provided by a mobile device for processing physiological data representative of a beating heart. The mobile device may be adapted to execute a process for using at least one pattern to detect a notable finding in the physiological data and for sending the notable finding to a second system. The second system may be adapted to execute a process for analyzing the notable finding, for determining at least one new pattern to send to the mobile device, and for sending the at least one new pattern to the mobile device. The at least one new pattern may also include a rule that includes a set of conditions and an action to perform if the set of conditions is met.

Gaze-driven augmented reality

Augmented reality (AR) systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed. A user's gaze point may be estimated and may be used to search for and present information, e.g., information relating to areas on which the user is focusing. The user's gaze point may be used to facilitate or enable modes of interactivity and/or user interfaces that may be controlled by the direction of view of the user. Biometric techniques may be used to estimate an emotional state of the user. This estimated emotional state may be used to be the information that is presented to the user.

System and method for discrimination of central and obstructive disordered breathing events

Disordered breathing events may be classified as central, obstructive or a combination of central an obstructive in origin based on patient motion associated with respiratory effort. Central disordered breathing is associated with disrupted respiration with reduced respiratory effort. Obstructive disordered breathing is associated with disrupted respiration accompanied by respiratory effort. A disordered breathing classification system includes a disordered breathing detector and a respiratory effort motion sensor. Components of the disordered breathing classification system may be fully or partially implantable.
