A SYSTEM FOR MONITORING, EVALUATING AND PROVIDING FEEDBACK OF PHYSICAL MOVEMENTS OF A USER

The present invention relates to a system for monitoring a physical movements of a user, the system comprising: a detection unit configured for receiving a signal obtained by a sensor device representative of a sensed bodily activity, calculating a load index value and communicate, e.g. to the user wearing the sensor device, the value of the load index value. The invention also relates to a method for monitoring and evaluating physical movement of a user and providing feedback to the user.

BIO-SIGNAL ACQUISITION AND FEEDBACK

Computing devices, wearable devices, networked environments, and methods for bio-signal acquisition and monitoring skeletomuscular parameters are provided. First data indicative of movement parameters of knee joint of a patient for a test type is obtained from a wearable device. Second data indicative patient-specific parameters of the patient are obtained. A cluster to which the patient belongs is identified based on the patient-specific parameters and a prediction model. A normative range for the test type for the cluster is determined. The first data is processed to determine whether the patient falls within the normative range of the cluster and result is provided.

Intraoperative Ultrasound Probe System and Related Methods

An intraoperative ultrasound imaging system and method capable of using ultrasound imaging to safely place a surgical access instrument (e.g. guide wire, dilator, cannula, etc.) through a tissue (e.g., muscle, fat, brain, liver, lung, etc.) without damaging nearby neurovascular structure is described herein. The intraoperative ultrasound system includes an ultrasound probe assembly configured for emitting and receiving ultrasound waves and a computer system including a processor and a display unit. Once the probe is in position, ultrasound imaging is performed wherein the computer receives RF data from the probe and causes a B-mode image of the visible anatomical structures (e.g. muscle, bone, etc.) to be displayed on the display unit.

BIOMIMETIC STIMULATOR SYSTEM FOR NEURAL IMPLANT

A neural stimulator system which generates stimulation from an implantable stimulator circuit which generates stimulation outputs which mimic biological signals. The user/operator can select stimulation generated from recorded waveforms, or by selecting the characteristics for generating stimulation based on randomized inter-pulse-intervals (IPI). A control unit controls the operation of the implantable stimulator circuit, and receives sets of stimulation parameters based on user input from a user input device executing application specific programming.

Neural sleeve for neuromuscular stimulation, sensing and recording

The present disclosure relates to neuromuscular stimulation and sensing cuffs. The neuromuscular stimulation cuff has at least two fingers and a plurality of electrodes disposed on each finger. More generally, the neuromuscular stimulation cuff includes an outer, reusable component and an inner, disposable component. One or more electrodes are housed within the reusable component. The neuromuscular stimulation cuff may be produced by providing an insulating substrate layer, forming a conductive circuit on the substrate layer to form a conductive circuit layer, adhering a cover layer onto the conductive circuit layer to form a flexible circuit, and cutting at least one flexible finger from the flexible circuit. The neuromuscular stimulation cuff employs a flexible multi-electrode design which allows for reanimation of complex muscle movements in a patient, including individual finger movement.

BAND WITH BUILT-IN STIMULATOR

A system includes a collar that is worn around a neck of the user. A stimulator is coupled to the collar such that the stimulator is positioned adjacent to an airway of the user. The sensor is coupled to the collar and configured to generate data associated with the airway of the user. The memory is coupled to the collar and storing machine-readable instructions. The control system is coupled to the collar and includes one or more processors configured to execute the machine-readable instructions to determine, based at least on an analysis of the generated data, that the user is currently experiencing an apnea event. In response to the determination, the control system causes the stimulator to provide electrical stimulation, at a first intensity level, to one or more muscles of the user that are adjacent to the airway to aid in stopping the apnea event.

VENTILATION DEVICE, PROCESS, COMPUTER PROGRAM AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING AN INDICATOR OF AN INTRINSIC END-EXPIRATORY PRESSURE
20220401674 · 2022-12-22 ·

A process and a device determine an indicator of an intrinsic end-expiratory pressure in the lungs of a patient. Embodiments are based on the device, ventilator with the device, and the process using the device that includes an interface arrangement configured for an exchange of information with a ventilation device and a control unit that determines first information on a first breathing pressure generated by muscles of the patient, at a first time, at which an inhalation attempt of the patient is present and determines second information on a second breathing pressure generated by the muscles of the patient, at a second time, at which breathing gas flow towards the patient starts. The control unit further determines the indicator of the intrinsic end-expiratory pressure based on the first information and based on the second information.
