A method for identifying changes in an epilepsy patient's disease state, comprising: receiving at least one body data stream; determining at least one body index from the at least one body data stream; detecting a plurality of seizure events from the at least one body index; determining at least one seizure metric value for each seizure event; performing a first classification analysis of the plurality of seizure events from the at least one seizure metric value; detecting at least one additional seizure event from the at least one determined index; determining at least one seizure metric value for each additional seizure event, performing a second classification analysis of the plurality of seizure events and the at least one additional seizure event based upon the at least one seizure metric value; comparing the results of the first classification analysis and the second classification analysis; and performing a further action.

Neurophysiological monitoring for prospective motion gating in radiological imaging

A system, method and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for monitoring motion during medical imaging. The monitoring of the motion includes initiating an acquisition of image data, measuring physiological signals of a patient, generating a prediction signal by integrating the physiological signals, determining whether patient motion is likely to occur based on the prediction signal and modifying the acquisition of image data, if it is predicted that patient motion is likely to occur.

BRAIN ACTIVITY MEASUREMENT AND FEEDBACK SYSTEM

A head set (2) comprises a brain electrical activity (EEG) sensing device (3) comprising EEG sensors (22) configured to be mounted on a head of a wearer so as to position the EEG sensors (22) at selected positions of interest over the wearers scalp, the EEG sensing device comprising a sensor support (4) and a flexible circuit (6) assembled to the sensor support. The sensor support and flexible circuit comprise a central stem (4a, 6a) configured to extend along a center plane of the top of the head in a direction from a nose to a centre of the back of a wearers head, a front lateral branch (4b, 6b) configured to extend across a front portion of a wearer's head extending laterally from the central stem, a center lateral branch (4c, 6c) configured to extend across a top portion of a wearer's head essentially between the wearer's ears, and a rear lateral branch (4d, 6d) configured to extend across a back portion of a wearer's head. The sensor support (4) comprises a base wall (401) and side walls (402) extending along edges of the base wall to form an essentially flat “U” shaped channel (403) in which the flexible circuit (6) is inserted and the base wall comprise EEG sensor orifices (404) to allow access to the EEG sensor contacts or electrodes on the flexible circuit.

Controlling devices based on physiological measurements

Embodiments of the invention control a device based on physiological measurements associated with a user. A determination is made that a user has manually adjusted a controlled device. A context associated with the user is identified in response to determining that the user has manually adjusted the controlled device. A change is detected in at least one physiological measurement associated with the user in response to the controlled device being manually adjusted. A target physiological measurement associated with at least one physiological measurement is modified based on the change that has been detected. The context that has been identified is associated with the target physiological measurement that has been modified.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING DAMPED ELECTROMAGNETICALLY ACTUATED PLANAR MOTION FOR AUDIO-FREQUENCY VIBRATIONS

A vibration module for applying vibrational tractions to a wearer's skin is presented. Use of the vibration module in headphones is illustrated for providing tactile sensations of low frequency for music, for massage, and for electrical recording and stimulation of the wearer. Damped, planar, electromagnetically-actuated vibration modules of the moving magnet type are presented in theory and reduced to practice, and shown to provide a substantially uniform frequency response over the range 40-200 Hz with a minimum of unwanted audio.

Neuromonitoring Systems and Methods

Systems, devices, and methods are described for neuromonitoring. A minimum stimulus signal required to elicit a threshold neuromuscular response is determined by delivery of stimulus signals to tissue and detection of neuromuscular responses in muscle tissue. The strength of the delivered stimulus signals is varied, for example by adjusting the current amplitude or pulse width of the signals, and muscle responses are measure, for example by detecting EMG signals. The delivered stimuli and corresponding responses are then used to determine a stimulation threshold. The stimulation threshold may be used to indicate at least one of nerve proximity and pedicle integrity.

11083407 · 2021-08-10 · ·

We report method of detecting a pathological body state of a patient, comprising receiving a body signal of the patient; determining a body index from said body signal; determining an activity level of said patient; determining a value range for said body index for said patient, based at least in part on said activity level; comparing said body index to said value range; and detecting a pathological state when said body index is outside said value range. We also report a medical device system configured to implement the method. We also report a non-transitory computer readable program storage unit encoded with instructions that, when executed by a computer, perform the method.
