System and method for post-stroke rehabilitation and recovery using adaptive surface electromyographic sensing and visualization
A system and method for rehabilitation and recovery using adaptive surface electromyographic sensing and visualization is disclosed. The system uses surface electromyography (sEMG) sensors to identify signals of intent from patients with physical disabilities and then uses these signals to interact with a computer system designed to create repetitive practice in a manner that promotes neurological recovery. A machine teaming module analyses body signals picked up during patient movement attempts and converts these body signals to a visual representation of the intended movement by way of a virtual body or virtual body part displayed on a computer display, display glasses, or the like. The system thus allows for very early patient therapy, providing early benefits to rehabilitation therapy not heretofore possible. The virtual reality or augmented reality environment provides a patient with very early visual reinforcement of beneficial muscle activation patterns.

EAR-WEARABLE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING HEAT STRESS, HEAT STROKE AND RELATED CONDITIONS
Embodiments herein relate to ear-wearable systems and devices for detecting heat stress and related methods. In an embodiment, an ear-wearable heat stress risk assessment system is included having a control circuit, a microphone, and a sensor package. The system is configured to process signals of one or more sensors of the sensor package and/or the microphone, detect dehydration symptoms, environmental conditions, and activity levels of a device wearer based on the processed signals, and determine a heat stress risk level based on detected dehydration symptoms, environmental conditions, and activity levels of the device wearer. Other embodiments are also included herein.
DEVICE FOR DETERMINING MUSCLE STATE BASED ON ELECTROMYOGRAPHY SIGNAL AND MUSCLE OXYGEN SATURATION
The embodiments of the present disclosure provides a device for determining muscle state based on electromyography signal and muscle oxygen saturation. The devices includes: a signal collection module, configured for collecting a human electromyography signal data; a light source detection module, configured for emitting light with different wavelengths; a photosensitive receiver module, configured for receiving light reflected by skin after the light emitted by the light source detection module irradiates the skin; a blood oxygen calculation module, configured for calculating the muscle oxygen saturation based on the light received by the photosensitive receiver module; and a data statistics module, configured for determining the muscle state based on the human electromyography signal data and the muscle oxygen saturation. In this way, an accurate detection of muscle state is realized.
DEVICE, PROCESS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR DETERMINING A PATIENT COMPONENT
A device for determining a patient component of an exchange of gas of a patient being ventilated, a measuring device or ventilation device with such a device for determining a patient component of an exchange of gas of a patient being ventilated, a process as well as to a computer program determine a patient component of an airway flow of a ventilation gas of a patient being ventilated. A determination of a patient component of an airway flow of a ventilation gas of a patient being ventilated are described. The determination includes an implementation with a signal processor, of forms a high-pass characteristic.
