Eyewear
A technique to detect an eye potential of a wearer of an eyewear by using an electrode abutting on the glabella of the wearer has been known, but it is desirable to surely cause the electrode to abut on the glabella so as to prevent deterioration in the detection accuracy of detecting a biosignal indicating an eye potential, myogenic potential, brain wave or the like. In view of this, an eyewear including: a frame; a first electrode that abuts on a glabella of a wearer of the eyewear; and an electrode holding unit that holds the first electrode such that a distance between the frame and the first electrode is changeable is included.
SENSING ELECTRODE AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME
A method of measuring signals from a surface. The method comprises: placing on the surface a flexible sensing device having an array of coated electrodes, wherein at least one electrode of the array is metallic and is at least partially coated by a polymer; and collecting signals from the sensing device.
Apnea safety control
The present invention relates to a safety support system (10), comprising a data interface (20) for receiving sleep quality data carrying information on the sleep quality of a person (12), a sleep quality assessment unit (22) for determining a sleep quality indicator being indicative of the sleep quality of the person (12) based on the received sleep quality data and a safety unit (24) for determining machine operation settings for the person (12) based on the sleep quality indicator, said machine operation settings being indicative of an allowed operation of a machine (14) by the person (12). The present invention further relates to a corresponding method and to a machine (14) comprising a safety support system (10) as described above.
Visual field calculation apparatus and method for calculating visual field
A visual field calculation apparatus capable of accurately calculating a visual field range of a user without using a complex configuration is provided. The visual field calculation apparatus includes a saccade detector that detects a saccade on the basis of a first gaze direction detected at a first timing and a second gaze direction detected at a second timing, a saccade speed calculator that calculates speed of the saccade on the basis of a time difference between the first timing and the second timing, the first gaze direction, and the second gaze direction, and a visual field range calculator that calculates a displacement vector of a saccade whose speed exceeds a first threshold, and calculates an area including a final point of the displacement vector as the visual field range of the user.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PAIN MONITORING
A nociception monitoring device including at least one sensor configured to sense at least three physiological parameters of a patient, and a computing unit configured to receive the at least three physiological parameters and to compute a nociception scale (NS) value, indicative of a nociception level of the patient, based on an analysis of the at least three physiological parameters and/or features derived therefrom.
Device and method for non-invasive monitoring of retinal tissue temperature
A method and device for non-invasive monitoring of the temperature of the retina and the retinal pigment epithelium inside the eye, particularly during heating of the bottom of the eye, wherein alternating probing short-duration pulses of light, one at wavelength close to the absorption maximum of the photoreceptor cell type and the other at wavelength in the near-infrared region, are directed at the retinal tissue at appropriate time intervals.
Photoreceptor cell electrical signals, photoresponses, are recorded using electroretinography (ERG) and the changes in retinal temperature are determined from changes in photoresponse kinetics and changes in photoreceptor sensitivity to the stimuli. The method is especially applicable at temperatures up to 45 C. for humans and for other animals.
MONITORING SYSTEM FOR STROKE
Provided is a stroke monitoring system capable of measuring a user's biometric signal including an electroencephalogram using a device such as a wearable device for determining whether a user has a stroke for 24 hours, building a database of the measured user's biometric signal and other information, and predicting an occurrence of a user's stroke.
DOMINANT EYE DETERMINING METHOD AND DEVICE
This application relates to the field of wearable devices and provides a dominant eye determining method and device. A method comprises: obtaining first sensory information of a first eye of a user; and determining whether the first eye is a dominant eye according to the first sensory information and reference information. The method and device help other devices worn by a user to perform automatic set-up according to a determining result, thereby improving user experience.
WIRED AUDIO HEADSET WITH PHYSIOLOGICAL MONITORING
A system for obtaining physiological information from a user is provided. The system includes a headset having at least one earbud which includes an audio speaker and a sensor for obtaining physiological data from a subject when positioned against a tissue region of an ear. The system further includes a microcontroller for relaying physiological data obtained from the sensor over a wired connection as a raw signal.
Method and apparatus for the assessment of electrophysiological signals
Apparatus for the assessment of electrophysiological signals obtained from a patient, the apparatus comprising: a housing; a support arch pivotally mounted to the housing, the support arch comprising a plurality of facial contact point supports for supporting contact points on the face of the patient relative to the support arch without supporting the chin of the patient; at least one display screen for presenting a stimulus to a single eye of the patient, the at least one display screen being movable relative to the support arch; and control electronics disposed within the housing for driving the at least one display screen and for amplifying electrophysiological signals obtained from the patient.
