System and method for measuring eye movement and/or eye position and postural sway of a subject
A method for measuring the gaze direction and postural sway of a subject is disclosed herein. The system generally includes an eye movement tracking device, a head position detection device, a postural sway detection device, and a data processing device operatively coupled to the eye movement tracking device, the head position detection device, and the postural sway detection device. During the execution of the method, the eye movement and/or eye position of the subject is measured using the eye movement tracking device, the position of the head of the subject is measured using the head position detection device, and the postural sway of the subject is measured using the postural sway detection device. A method for measuring the eye movement and/or eye position and postural sway of a subject during a balance test and/or a concussion screening test and a method for assessment of a subject are also disclosed herein.
LOW-POWER MULTI-STAGE AMPLIFIER FOR CAPACITIVE READING OF LOW-AMPLITUDE AND LOW-FREQUENCY SIGNALS
Low-power multi-stage amplifiers are provided for capacitive reading of low-amplitude and low-frequency signals. An exemplary multi-stage amplifier comprises a plurality of amplification stages, wherein each of the amplification stages comprises an amplifying transistor and an active load, wherein substantially all of the amplification stages have one or more of an increasing DC bias level and a decreasing DC bias level relative to a prior stage, and wherein an output of a given one of the amplification stages is directly applied as an input to a subsequent one of the amplification stages.
Augmented reality display system for evaluation and modification of neurological conditions, including visual processing and perception conditions
In some embodiments, a display system comprising a head-mountable, augmented reality display is configured to perform a neurological analysis and to provide a perception aid based on an environmental trigger associated with the neurological condition. Performing the neurological analysis may include determining a reaction to a stimulus by receiving data from the one or more inwardly-directed sensors; and identifying a neurological condition associated with the reaction. In some embodiments, the perception aid may include a reminder, an alert, or virtual content that changes a property, e.g. a color, of a real object. The augmented reality display may be configured to display virtual content by outputting light with variable wavefront divergence, and to provide an accommodation-vergence mismatch of less than 0.5 diopters, including less than 0.25 diopters.
Accommodation stimulation and recording device
Embodiments described herein generally relate to devices and methods for stimulation or recording of accommodation of an eye. Accommodation of an eye naturally occurs through contraction of the ciliary muscle. Embodiments described herein can deliver electrostimulation to the ciliary muscle through a pair of electrodes which deliver power over an area of the sclera which is both positioned above and over an area which is substantially equivalent to the surface area of the ciliary muscle. In further embodiments, electrical impulses produced by the ciliary muscle can be received by one or more electrodes positioned proximate the ciliary muscle. Thus, by embodiments described herein, accommodation of the eye can be reproducibly achieved by external stimulation of the ciliary muscle or measured based on electrical impulses generated by or in conjunction with the ciliary muscle.
