Olfactory diagnostic and training kits and methods
Disclosed herein are olfactory diagnostic kits and methods for screening for an olfactory dysfunction. Also disclosed are olfactory training kits and methods for treating an olfactory dysfunction in a subject. Also disclosed is a method for diagnosing a subject for an olfactory dysfunction. Also disclosed is a method for training a subject with an olfactory dysfunction.
Pupilary screening system and method
A method of screening a pupil of a subject to determine whether the pupil reflex resembles a canonical pupil reflex is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of stimulating the pupil with a stimulus source, such as a pupilometer and determining whether one of various pupillary response conditions is met.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR NON-INVASIVE AND NON-CONTACT MEASUREMENT IN EARLY THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTION
A system and method for non-invasive and/or non-contact measurement of a subject's tremor in the context of therapeutic intervention is presented. The system includes a memory, a communications interface, a sensor to measure a signal associated with position or motion of an extremity of the subject, and a processor. The processor is configured to receive the signal from the sensor. The processor is further configured to communicate, via the communications interface, the signal, login credentials, and position or motion data to a remote server coupled to a remote electronic health record database. The remote server is configured to receive the signal and perform an analysis that quantifies a severity of tremor based on the position or motion signals of the subject. The processor is configured to receive the analysis that quantified the severity of tremor and cause the quantified severity of tremor to be displayed via a display device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SENSORY AND COGNITIVE PROFILING
Methods, devices, and systems are disclosed for producing cognitive and/or sensory profiles. In one aspect, a method to provide a cognitive or sensory assessment of a subject includes selecting a profile category from among a cognitive performance profile, a sensory performance profile, and a cognitive and sensory performance profile, presenting a sequence of stimuli to a subject, the sequence of stimuli based on the selected profile category, acquiring physiological signals of the subject before, during, and after the presenting the sequence of stimuli to produce physiological data, and processing the physiological data to generate an information set including one or more quantitative values associated with the selected profile category.
STIMULUS INFORMATION COMPILING METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TESTS
A stimulus information compiling method for tests is disclosed comprising the following steps: selecting and using stimulus information which follows a statistics-normal distribution and is analyzed and measured by validity to form a stimulus information database (Q); reasonably setting at least one stimulus information to be a test including at least one test sequence, for a subject to make a selection according to his or her personal interests; comparing a test score of the subject with that of a valid sample person in a normal distribution model, thereby confirming the distribution of the subject in each cognitive dimension. A test score of the subject is compared with that of a valid sample person in a normal distribution model, thereby confirming the test result of the subject.
METHODS AND TECHNIQUES FOR PROCESSING RESPONSES OF AN OLFACTORY TEST
An olfactory test comprising an olfactory test article including a plurality of trials that each has an associated concentration of a stimulus of interest. Aspects of the present disclosure further relate to software application that guides a user through conducting the olfactory test based at least in part on the user's responses to trials of the olfactory test article, such that the user can be guided through a custom order of trials, and therefore different concentrations of the stimuli of interest, based at least in part on the user's responses to the trials as the user performs the olfactory test.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING ANOSMIA AND/OR AGEUSIA
Systems, devices, and methods for determining anosmia and/or ageusia in a subject. are provided. Devices may include a housing, a composition stored within the housing, and an applicator. The composition may include one or more active ingredients and one or more inactive ingredients, the one or more active ingredients including a flavoring agent that may include salt, sour, sweet, or bitter taste and odor properties. The composition may be configured to remain stable. The housing may include a back pressure mechanism. The applicator may be configured to remove a predetermined amount of the composition from the housing and deliver the predetermined amount of the composition to one or more of a nose and a mouth of the subject.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING OLFACTORY STIMULI
A device or system is provided that provides olfactory stimuli, and includes a piezoelectric vibration device that is used to produce scents corresponding to actions performed in a VR or AR environment, or other application. In some implementations, a user interacts with one or more game elements within a game program being executed by a game engine, and responsive to the interaction, the game engine may communicate a series of commands that cause a piezoelectric device of the device to generate scents to be experienced by the user.
High-throughput operant sensory discrimination apparatus and method
Described herein are various apparatus and systems useful in sensory discrimination. Through the use of a multi-well sample plate, the high-throughput analysis apparatus and method allow for rapid sensory discrimination of a large number of samples.
System and Method for Detecting Presence of Illness Symptoms
A system and method for collecting symptomatic data to screen for a targeted disease. Testing hardware incorporates a plurality of testing units with corresponding indicators that can be altered to indicate whether a symptom is present or not. The resulting data from the testing use can then be analyzed to determine the likelihood of presence of a disease.
