ODOR GENERATION DEVICE, OLFACTORY EXAMINATION OR OLFACTORY TRAINING SYSTEM, OLFACTORY PRESENTATION NEURODEGENERATIVE DISEASE PREVENTION AND/OR TREATMENT DEVICE, AND ODOR EXPERIENCE DEVICE
To provide a technique capable of delivering an odor component to a desired position.
The present technology first provides an odor generation device including: a cartridge that holds a tubular body containing an odor component; a release unit that releases the odor component to an outside; and a placement drive unit that, among a plurality of the cartridges, places a specific cartridge near the release unit. Furthermore, the present technology also provides an olfactory examination or olfactory training system, an olfactory presentation neurodegenerative disease prevention and/or treatment device, and an odor experience device including the odor generation device and an information processing device that controls the placement drive unit.
AUDITORY AND OLFACTORY MAPPING SYSTEM
A method includes receiving, by a computing system, olfactory information. The method includes converting, by the computing system, the olfactory information to auditory information.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, ODOR GENERATION SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM
Provided is a technology for automatically conducting a test.
In the present technology, provided is an information processing device including a processing unit that identifies information regarding an odor component to be released and controls release of the odor component on the basis of information associated with a user. Further provided is an information processing system including an information processing device including a processing unit that identifies information regarding an odor component to be released and controls release of the odor component on the basis of information associated with a user, and a display device that displays the information regarding the odor component to be released.
System and Method for Detecting Presence of Illness Symptoms
A system and method for collecting symptomatic data to screen for a targeted disease. Testing hardware incorporates a plurality of testing units with corresponding indicators that can be altered to indicate whether a symptom is present or not. The resulting data from the testing use can then be analyzed to determine the likelihood of presence of a disease.
DETERMINING ODORANT DETECTION IN ARTHROPODS
According to various embodiments, systems and methods for determining carbon dioxide detection in arthropods. An embodiment may include determining at least one resonant frequency of an arthropod sensory organ and an absorption spectrum of at least one odorant. A frequency filter may be applied to the absorption spectrum to eliminate frequencies below a given intensity value. Of the frequencies remaining from the absorption spectrum, those frequencies corresponding to relative peaks in absorption intensity may be selected. An olfactory chord including a group of the selected frequencies corresponding to the relative peaks in absorption intensity with at least one specific frequency that matches the at least one resonant frequency of the arthropod sensory organ. Additionally, at least one radiation source may be configured to emit electromagnetic radiation corresponding to the olfactory chord.
Compositions and methods for a universal clinical test for olfactory dysfunction
Disclosed are compositions and methods for measuring olfactory sensitivity, olfactory resolution, and combinations thereof. Such measurements can be made during a single test, or over consecutive tests, which may be performed during a single testing period, such as in a single day, or over a series of testing periods. The tests may be performed by a health care professional, or may be conveniently self-administered by the user.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING CORRUPT OR INACCURATE SENSORY REPRESENTATIONS
A system for monitoring neural activity of a living subject is provided. The system may comprise a correspondence module configured to be in communication with (1) a neural module and (2) one or more additional modules comprising a sensing module, another neural module, and/or a data storage module. The neural module(s) are configured to collect neural data indicative of perceptions experienced by the living subject. The sensing module may be configured to collect (1) sensor data indicative of real-world information about an environment around the living subject, and/or (2) sensor data indicative of a physical state or physiological state of the living subject. The data storage module may be configured to store prior neural data and/or prior sensor data. The correspondence module may be configured to measure a correspondence (a) between the neural data collected by the neural module(s) and the sensor data collected by the sensing module, (b) between the neural data collected by two or more neural modules, and/or (c) between the neural data collected by the neural module(s) and the prior data stored in data storage module. The measured correspondence can be used to determine a presence, absence, or extent of a potential cognitive or physiological disturbance of the living subject.
PRODUCTION METHOD FOR FLAVOR COMPOSITION
A method for producing a flavor composition is disclosed. The method includes: step (a) of preparing first flavor composition of formulation by calculating a detection rate t of aroma compounds in a retronasal aroma (RA) during eating an analyte; step (b) of calculating a detection rate 1 of aroma compounds including a RA during eating model food 1 or drinking model beverage 1 added the first flavor composition; and step (c) of preparing second flavor composition by adjusting a formulation of the first flavor composition to bring the detection rate 1 close to the detection rate t. In the method, steps (b) and (c) are repeated to prepare a final flavor composition having an aroma balance matching the detection rate t.
Devices and methods for determining anosmia and/or ageusia
Systems, devices, and methods for determining anosmia and/or ageusia in a subject. are provided. Devices may include a housing, a composition stored within the housing, and an applicator. The composition may include one or more active ingredients and one or more inactive ingredients, the one or more active ingredients including a flavoring agent that may include salt, sour, sweet, or bitter taste and odor properties. The composition may be configured to remain stable. The housing may include a back pressure mechanism. The applicator may be configured to remove a predetermined amount of the composition from the housing and deliver the predetermined amount of the composition to one or more of a nose and a mouth of the subject.
SCENT DISPENSERS/ABSORBERS AND SCENT CARTRIDGES THEREFOR
A scent dispenser/absorber includes a container, an invertible lid reversibly attached to an open end of the container, a vented cage, and a scent cartridge housed within the cage. In an off' condition or state, the scent cartridge/cage combination is received in an interior chamber of the container, where the scent cartridge is out of communication with the surrounding environment and therefore incapable of performing scent dispensing function. The scent dispenser/absorber can be switched to an on condition or state by manually inverting the lid and, in some cases, the associated cage/scent cartridge combination, such that the scent cartridge can be positioned externally of the container, where it can communicate with the surrounding (i.e., external) environment to perform methods useful for attracting game, calming pets, medical diagnostics, aroma and insomnia therapy, and dieting.
