PUPILARY SCREENING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method of screening a pupil of a subject to determine whether the pupil reflex resembles a canonical pupil reflex is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of stimulating the pupil with a stimulus source, such as a pupilometer and determining whether one of various pupillary response conditions is met.

OLFACTORY TEST SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Methods, devices and systems for evaluating olfactory function are configured to: electronically estimate a user-specific odorant detection threshold sensitivity threshold using at least one target stimulus odorant delivered to a nose of a user; flowably deliver a plurality of different target stimulus odorants to the nose of the user with defined concentrations of the different target stimulus odorants based, at least in part, on the estimated user-specific odorant detection sensitivity threshold; and evaluate olfactory function of the user based on the user's response to the delivered different target stimulus odorants.
APPARATUS, METHOD, AND SYSTEM FOR TESTING HUMAN OLFACTORY SYSTEMS
An apparatus, module, methods and systems for automated, standardized assessment and analysis of a human olfactory system's odor detection ability as an indicator or predictor of cognitive impairment or change in cognitive health, and other health conditions such as diabetes. Notably, the present invention is operable for use across all age groups of humans and provides quantitative detection and analysis of a human olfactory system's detection ability compared to a relevant demographic population.
Method for selecting odor-controlling substance
A method for searching for a substance suppressing a target odor through cross-adaptation is provided. A method for selecting a substance inducing cross-adaptation of a target odor includes: searching olfactory receptor polypeptides to identify an olfactory receptor polypeptide responding to a causative substance of the target odor; adding a test substance, which is different from the causative substance of the target odor, to the identified olfactory receptor polypeptide to measure response thereof; and selecting the test substance which activates the response of the olfactory receptor polypeptide as the substance inducing the cross-adaptation of the target odor.
Devices, systems and methods for testing for degenerative disorders of the central nervous system
The present system is directed in various embodiments to devices, systems and methods for detection, evaluation and/or monitoring olfactory dysfunction by measuring and determining the patient's olfactory detection threshold for the left and the right nostril. In some cases, the present invention relates to devices, systems and methods for detecting an asymmetric differential in a patient's relative olfactory detection and/or identification threshold (left vs right nostril) which, when present, may be used as a device to detect, diagnose and/or monitor olfactory deterioration resulting from Alzheimer's disease, and/or the efficacy of treatment regimens therefor over time. Alternatively, general olfactory dysfunction may be evaluated and/or monitored without regard to the individual nostril's performance.
FMRI METHOD FOR DETERMINING BRAIN ACTIVATION PATTERNS IN RESPONSE TO ODOR ELICITED FEELINGS
Described herein is a method of using functional MRI (fMRI) for determining brain activation patterns for a group of subjects in response to different odor-elicited feelings (i.e., conscious emotions).
A method for preparing a perfume by using the method of the present invention and a consumer product including said perfume are also described herein.

Notably, the present invention is operable for use across all age groups of humans and provides quantitative detection and analysis of a human olfactory system's detection ability compared to a relevant demographic population.
Olfaction test device
An olfactory examination apparatus includes: an odor generating unit having an odorant generating mechanism that stores an odorant and generates an odorous gas having a defined concentration or an defined intensity and an odorless gas generating mechanism; a gas supply unit configured to alternately supply an odorous gas or an odorless gas having a defined concentration or a defined intensity of the odor from the odorant generating mechanism and the odorless gas generating mechanism to an examinee through an odor presentation mechanism placed on a nostril portion of the examinee, and a reply unit that allows the examinee to express an answer when smelling the odorant in order to examine an olfactory function.
OLFACTORY MEANS USEFUL IN THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF MOOD DEPRESSION
A kit of two compositions comprising the same odorants in mixtures of different proportions is used for the measurement of olfactory discrimination capacity in subjects affected by a psychiatric disorder or disease involving mood disturbance, more particularly mood depression.
