NEURO-PHYSIOLOGY AND NEURO-BEHAVIORAL BASED STIMULUS TARGETING SYSTEM
An example system includes a processor to determine a first distance between a first peak in a first frequency band of neuro-response data gathered from a subject while exposed to media and a second peak in the first frequency band; determine a second distance between a third peak in the first frequency band and either the second peak in the first frequency band or a fourth peak in the first frequency band; determine a first difference between the first distance and the second distance; generate a first response profile for the subject based on the first difference; and integrate the first response profile with a second response profile associated with a second subject to form an integrated response profile. A selector is to select an advertisement or entertainment for presentation based on the integrated response profile. The processor is to modify the media to present the advertisement or entertainment.
Method and System for the Assessment and Rehabilitation of Neurologic Deficits
A system and method for the assessment and therapeutic treatment of neurologic function deficits through the evaluation of voluntary and involuntary neuromuscular activity and voluntary neuromuscular responses made on demand as a response to a cognitive skills test. The system permits the remote assessment and therapy of a patient through prescribed physical and cognitive skills regimens either through the remote direction of a therapist or through an artificial intelligence system that selects and modifies regimens based upon the analysis of historical data and/or real-time data. The combination of physical and cognitive therapy to require physical responses to cognitive queries is believed to improve patient outcomes by slowing, halting, or reversing the progression of certain neurological deficits.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SENSORY AND COGNITIVE PROFILING
Methods, devices, and systems are disclosed for producing cognitive and/or sensory profiles. In one aspect, a method to provide a cognitive or sensory assessment of a subject includes selecting a profile category from among a cognitive performance profile, a sensory performance profile, and a cognitive and sensory performance profile, presenting a sequence of stimuli to a subject, the sequence of stimuli based on the selected profile category, acquiring physiological signals of the subject before, during, and after the presenting the sequence of stimuli to produce physiological data, and processing the physiological data to generate an information set including one or more quantitative values associated with the selected profile category.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING ANOSMIA AND/OR AGEUSIA
Systems, devices, and methods for determining anosmia and/or ageusia in a subject. are provided. Devices may include a housing, a composition stored within the housing, and an applicator. The composition may include one or more active ingredients and one or more inactive ingredients, the one or more active ingredients including a flavoring agent that may include salt, sour, sweet, or bitter taste and odor properties. The composition may be configured to remain stable. The housing may include a back pressure mechanism. The applicator may be configured to remove a predetermined amount of the composition from the housing and deliver the predetermined amount of the composition to one or more of a nose and a mouth of the subject.
System and method for taste preference testing and assessment
The present invention provides systems and methods for testing and assessing preference (e.g., taste preference). In one aspect, various aspects of an individuals taste preferences (e.g., degree an individual likes/dislikes a taste ingredient, degree an individual is willing to pay to keep/exclude a taste ingredient) are tested and assessed. In a further aspect, the taste preferences of a plurality of individuals are tested, assessed, and compared and, optionally, individuals are rewarded for their taste preference(s). Apparatus, computer readable media and systems for implementing the taste preference assessment and provision of rewards are also provided.
DEVICES, KITS, AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING INEFFECTIVENESS OF ANESTHETICS
In general, the invention provides kits, devices, and methods for determining the ineffectiveness of an anesthetic, (e.g., lidocaine), using a topical approach that avoids injection. The methods typically employ the placement of aliquots of two different formulations, at least one including an anesthetic, in different locations on a subject. Further embodiments may employ a single formulation including the anesthetic.
High-throughput operant sensory discrimination apparatus and method
Described herein are various apparatus and systems useful in sensory discrimination. Through the use of a multi-well sample plate, the high-throughput analysis apparatus and method allow for rapid sensory discrimination of a large number of samples.
METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING A SENSORY SPACE
Disclosed is a method for constructing a sensory space of an individual, including: the individual performing a sensory evaluation with at least 4 basic stimuli representative of the sense to be studied, the stimuli having an intensity (or power or level) lower than or in the vicinity of the detection threshold of the sense to be studied; recording signals relating to at least one physiological indicator having reacted during the stimuli; extracting physiological parameters from the recorded signals of the at least one physiological indicator; identifying physiological parameters differentiating the physiological responses; constructing a sensory space based on the physiological responses (PRSS) from the identified differentiating physiological parameters by statistical treatment.
DEVICES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ASSESSMENT AND RECORDATION OF REACTIONS TO STIMULI
Provided herein are methods of recording objective responses of a subject to stimuli, and devices and user interfaces (UI) for use therewith. In particular, the present invention provides UIs that allow a user to record objective multivariable responses to stimuli, devices comprising such UIs, and methods of using such UIs and devices to assess the characteristics of a sample or product.
