A balance detection and correction system includes at least one sensor positioned in an ear of a user, a processor, and a memory having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to perform operations including continuously tracking a position of the user’s head based on first data obtained from the first sensor, comparing the position of the user’s head to second data obtained from a second sensor positioned on the user’s body to detect an imbalance in the user’s posture or movements, and initiating a response action responsive to the detection of an imbalance.

SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING MOVEMENT VARIABILITY, ILLNESS AND INJURY PREDICTION AND RECOVERY READINESS
20230298760 · 2023-09-21 ·

Systems, devices and methods are provided for determining injury risk and athletic readiness based on user movement data, including movement variability data. Generally, a sensor device, such as a force plate, is provided for sensing certain characteristics of a user movement. A computing device coupled to the sensor device can be configured to receive sensor data indicative of the characteristics of the user movement, process and extract information from the sensor data, and transmit the processed sensor data to a server system. The remote server system can be configured to store, aggregate and update the processed sensor data in a database, and can also generate one or more normalized scores correlating to the user movement. The normalized scores can indicate to a user a susceptibility to injury and/or a readiness towards return to normal activity.

ROBUST MOTION SICKNESS REDUCTION DEVICE
20230280830 · 2023-09-07 ·

A device for motion sickness reduction. The device operates by providing haptic feedback using transducers that convert electrical signals to a tactile sensation such as pressure, vibration, electrical stimulation, temperature, or airflow. The transducers are located at different locations on the body of a user, and actively change their operation to indicate a direction of motion or rotation to the user through haptic (tactile) feedback. This tactile feedback can be used to reduce motion sickness. In an embodiment, the feedback is improved by deducting motion associated with the user's visual frame of reference from motion associated with the user's vestibular frame of reference.

Physical balance training system using foot sensors, real-time feedback, artificial intelligence, and optionally other body sensors

A wearable, flexible, bio-sensing housing with physical feedback, with software running on a user's wirelessly connected smart device. The housing has embedded at least one of pressure, movement, temperature, velocity, and acceleration sensors, and at least one of a haptic, vibrational, audio, visual, kinesthetic, tactile, olfactory, thermal, vestibular, and somatosensory feedback mechanisms. The feedback being triggered by measurements from the sensors and predetermined parameters, as compared by the smart device's software and/or a connected server. With real-time measurements and real-time feedback directly to the user's body, the user can perform real-time adjustment of his activity to obtain optimal performance and/or health.
