Disclosed herein is a frailty diagnosis apparatus. The frailty diagnosis apparatus includes a physical performance meter and a processor for determining a frailty index of a target person based on physical performance of the target person obtained by the physical performance meter. The physical performance meter includes at least one among a gait speed meter for measuring a gait speed of the target person, a body balance meter for measuring a body balance maintenance time of the target person, and a muscle strength meter for measuring a muscle exercise time.
Berg balance testing apparatus and method for the same
A berg balance testing apparatus includes: a floor frame that is a stage on which the examinee takes movements; a plurality of first sensors that is disposed in sections divided to have a predetermined area on the floor frame and senses positions of the feet of the examinee; a second sensor that is disposed at a predetermined distance from the first sensors and senses movements of the examinee; a controller that performs a berg balance test on movements of the examinee on the basis of information sensed and transmitted by the first sensors and the second sensor; and a display that receives berg balance test guide and test result information from the controller and outputs the information through images.
System and method for vision testing and/or training
A system for vision testing and/or training of a user is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the system includes an eye movement tracking device, a visual display device having an output screen, and a data processing device operatively coupled to the eye movement tracking device and the visual display device. The data processing device being programmed to generate and display the at least one visual object on the output screen of the visual display device; displace the at least one visual object across the output screen of the visual display device; and determine, based upon the signal received from the eye movement tracking device, whether the user is able to accurately track the at least one visual object as the at least one visual object is displaced across the output screen of the visual display device.
Systems and methods for mitigating motion sickness in a vehicle
System, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to mitigating effects of motion sickness on a passenger in a vehicle. In one embodiment, a method includes analyzing sensor data about the passenger to produce a passenger state that characterizes a current physical condition of the passenger while riding in the vehicle. The method includes determining whether the passenger state correlates with symptoms of motion sickness in the passenger. The method includes controlling, in the vehicle, a vehicle component to adjust a current configuration relative to the passenger when the passenger state correlates with the symptoms.

Methods and systems for controlling vehicle body motion and occupant experience
In one embodiment, one or more suspension systems of a vehicle may be used to mitigate motion sickness by limiting motion in one or more frequency ranges. In another embodiment, an active suspension may be integrated with an autonomous vehicle architecture. In yet another embodiment, the active suspension system of a vehicle may be used to induce motion in a vehicle. The vehicle may be used as a testbed for technical investigations and/or as a platform to enhance the enjoyment of video and/or audio by vehicle occupants. In some embodiments, the active suspensions system may be used to perform gestures as a means of communication with persons inside or outside the vehicle. In some embodiments, the active suspensions system may be used to generate haptic warnings to a vehicle operator or other persons in response to certain road situations.

A setting unit sets a sound stimulation. A sound generation unit generates the sound stimulation thus set. The setting unit sets a sound stimulation having a sound volume level of a value between 70 and 85 decibels and a frequency of a value between 20 and 140 hertz, as a sound stimulation for activating a vestibular function via an ear stone of a subject person. The information acquisition unit acquires status information related to the vestibular function of the subject person, and the setting unit sets at least one of the sound volume level or a frequency of the sound stimulation in accordance with the information related to the vestibular function thus acquired.
Force measurement system
A force measurement system is disclosed herein. The force measurement system includes a force measurement assembly configured to receive a subject thereon, and one or more data processing devices operatively coupled to the force measurement assembly. In one or more embodiments, the one or more data processing devices are operatively coupled to the force measurement assembly, the one or more data processing devices configured to receive one or more signals that are representative of forces and/or moments being applied to a top surface of the force measurement assembly by the subject, and to convert the one or more signals into output forces and/or moments, the one or more data processing devices further configured to predict one or more balance parameters of the subject using a trained neural network.
