Systems and methods for measuring a user's balance and stability in various situations are described. An example system includes a sporting surface and a plurality of top electrodes configured to support a user. Each top electrode is disposed beneath the sporting surface. The system also includes at least one bottom electrode and at least one force-sensing sheet between the top electrodes and the bottom electrode(s) to form a plurality of force sensors. Each force sensor provides an electrical signal proportional to an applied force from the user. The system includes read out circuitry configured to obtain sensor data from the force sensors. The system additionally includes a controller having a memory. The memory is configured to store the sensor data and program instructions executable by the controller to perform operations. The operations include determining, based on the sensor data, a balance metric corresponding to the user.

Impairment detection with biological considerations

A method and system for monitoring impairment indicators. The method includes, during a first time window, measuring a first movement signal related to movement of the person with a movement sensor associated with the person, and measuring a first biological signal of the person with a biological sensor attached to the person. The method further includes electronically storing at least one numerical descriptor derived from the first movement signal and at least one numerical descriptor derived from the first biological signal as reference data for the person. The method includes during a second time window, measuring a second signal related to movement of the person with the movement sensor, and measuring a second biological signal of the person with the biological sensor. The method further includes comparing at least one numerical descriptor derived from the second signal and at least one numerical descriptor derived from the second biological signal to the reference data to identify an impairment indicator.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING INTOXICATION

A method and system for monitoring a user's intoxication including receiving a set of signals, derived from a set of samples collected from the user at a set of time points; providing a sobriety task to the user proximal to a time point of the set of time points; generating a performance dataset characterizing performance of the sobriety task by the user; receiving a supplementary dataset characterizing a demographic profile of the user and/or a physiological state of the user; determining a set of values of an intoxication metric, derived from the set of signals; generating a predicted temporal profile of the intoxication metric for the user based upon the set of values, the set of time points, and the supplementary dataset; generating an analysis of the user's sobriety based upon the performance dataset and the predicted temporal profile; and providing a notification to the user based upon the analysis.

ELECTRICAL TECHNIQUES FOR PREDICTIVE METHODS AND RELATED TREATMENTS OF A COCHLEA

A method, comprising obtaining data based on impedance values within a cochlea of a human at a first temporal location and at a second temporal location after the first temporal location, evaluating the obtained data and implementing a treatment based on the evaluation. In an embodiment, the treatment implemented is a steroid treatment.

SYSTEM FOR ASSESSING AND IMPROVING THE FUNCTIONAL AGE AND/OR AN OVERALL INDEX INDICATIVE OF THE CURRENT STATE OF PSYCHO-PHYSICAL WELL-BEING OF A USER

System for assessing and improving the functional age and/or current state of psycho-physical well-being of a user. The system includes a check-up station that has a local controller and a display, and allows the user to connect to the system through the display or a portable device. A remote controller communicates with the check-up station and one or more exercise devices. The remote controller and/or the local controller is/are configured to present information to the user to perform tests related to physical and/or psychological aspects of the user. The check-up station allows the execution of a first sub-set of the tests. A second sub-set of the tests is executable by the exercise devices. The remote controller is configured to calculate, based on the test results, an overall functional age value and/or overall psycho-physical well-being index and generate a new training program or modify/confirm a pre-existing training program.

Disclosed herein is a frailty diagnosis apparatus. The frailty diagnosis apparatus includes a physical performance meter and a processor for determining a frailty index of a target person based on physical performance of the target person obtained by the physical performance meter. The physical performance meter includes at least one among a gait speed meter for measuring a gait speed of the target person, a body balance meter for measuring a body balance maintenance time of the target person, and a muscle strength meter for measuring a muscle exercise time.

Headset integrated into healthcare platform

Embodiments are related to a headset integrated into a healthcare platform. The headset comprises one or more sensors embedded into a frame of the headset, a controller coupled to the one or more sensors, and a transceiver coupled to the controller. The one or more sensors capture health information data for a user wearing the headset. The controller pre-processes at least a portion of the captured health information data to generate a pre-processed portion of the health information data. The transceiver communicates the health information data and the pre-processed portion of health information data to an intermediate device communicatively coupled to the headset. The intermediate device processes at least one of the health information data and the pre-processed portion of health information data to generate processed health information data for a health-related diagnostic of the user.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO QUANTIFY BALANCE ABILITY
