To maintain high estimation accuracy of the activity in the autonomic nerves.

An information processing apparatus according to the present technology includes: a processing section that executes a process including a correction process of specifying noise included in perspiration data acquired by a perspiration sensor on a basis of sensor data acquired by a different type of sensor than the perspiration sensor, and removing the noise from the perspiration data. According to such a technology, noise estimated according to other sensor data can be removed from the perspiration data, making it possible to maintain high accuracy in a later process of estimating activity in the autonomic nerves.

The programming control circuit may be configured to generate a plurality of stimulation parameters controlling delivery of neurostimulation pulses according to one or more neurostimulation programs each specifying a pattern of the neurostimulation pulses. The user interface includes a display screen, a user input device, and a neurostimulation program circuit. The neurostimulation program circuit may be configured to allow for construction of one or more pulse trains (PTs) and one or more train groupings (TGs) of the one or more neurostimulation programs, and to allow for scheduling of delivery of the one or more neurostimulation programs, using the display screen and the user input device. Each PT includes one or more pulse blocks each including a plurality of pulses of the neurostimulation pulses. Each TG includes one or more PTs.

Device, system and method for generating biofeedback

An apparatus for generating biofeedback, in particular during a relaxation exercise for lowering blood pressure, comprises at least one interface for receiving a pulse wave signal that represents a pressure pulse or volume pulse of a pulse wave in a blood circulation system as a function of time and an ECG signal. The apparatus comprises an evaluation device that is configured to determine a pulse transit time on the basis of the pulse wave signal and the ECG signal, perform an evaluation of a pulse wave form of the pulse wave signal and generate the biofeedback depending on the pulse transit time and/or the evaluation of the pulse wave form. The apparatus comprises an output interface for providing the biofeedback.

DEVICE FOR PREDICTING THE WEARING-OFF CONDITIONS IN A PATIENT AFFECTED BY PARKINSON'S DISEASE

Device for predicting the wearing-off conditions in a patient affected by Parkinson's disease, which comprises an electrodermal activity sensor that detects the skin conductance of a patient and generates corresponding measurement signals; an electronic control unit, which receives the above measurement signals and calculates a physiological parameter representative of the skin conductance; a communication unit, which is connected to the electronic control unit and is actuatable by the latter to emit an off-notification signal. The electronic control unit comprises a processing module which detects, within a movable time window, an overall time variation of the physiological parameter indicative of an increase of the skin conductance, and compares this overall time variation with a specific threshold value, so as to control the communication unit to emit an off-notification signal which allows warning, ahead of time, the verification of a probable proximate wearing-off, thus allowing suitable operation.

SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR DETECT AUTONOMIC DYSREFLEXIA DETECTION USING MACHINE LEARNING CLASSIFICATION

A system for detecting autonomic dysreflexia (AD) may measure skin nerve activity (skNA), galvanic skin response (GSR), heart rate, and skin temperature of a subject. The system may extract, a plurality of features from the measurements. The features may include medianNN, average iskNA, number of bursts, RMSSD, pNN5, or a combination thereof. The system may classify, based on a machine learning model, the plurality of features to identify the onset of AD in the subject. The system may output, in response to the onset of AD, a message indicative of the onset of AD.

MANAGEMENT OF PSYCHIATRIC OR MENTAL CONDITIONS USING DIGITAL REALITY WITH COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL TECHNIQUE

Systems, methods, and devices for implementing cognitive behavioral therapy to help a subject to manage a psychiatric or mental condition of the subject are provided. Interactive digital reality (DR) activities are provided through an interactive DR scene, each configured for a subject to practice a specific reframing technique. In some embodiments, a method also includes providing one or more additional psychotherapeutic or psychoeducational techniques. Through the practice of satisfying conditions associated with each interactive DR activity, the systems, methods, and devices help a subject to manage a psychiatric or mental condition of the subject, such as by getting better at recognizing and/or challenging an anxious thought as the thought occurs, and/or by reframing the anxious thought into more a different thought using the interactive DR scene.

SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR ASSESSING EFFICACY OF RENAL NEUROMODULATION THERAPY
20190223754 · 2019-07-25 ·

Systems and methods for performing, assessing, and adjusting neuromodulation therapy are disclosed herein. One method for assessing the likely efficacy of neuromodulation therapy includes positioning a neuromodulation catheter at a target site within a renal blood vessel of a human patient and obtaining a measurement related to a diameter of the renal blood vessel via the neuromodulation catheter. The method can further include determining a diameter of the renal blood vessel at or near the target site based on the measurement. In some embodiments, (i) one or more parameters of neuromodulation energy to be delivered to the renal blood vessel can be adjusted based on the determined diameter and/or (ii) the neuromodulation catheter may be repositioned within the renal blood vessel.

10350411 · 2019-07-16 · ·

Devices, systems and methods for treating medical disorders, such as migraine or other primary headaches, or fibromyalgia, by noninvasive electrical stimulation of a vagus nerve, used in conjunction with the measurement of evoked potentials (EPs). The system comprises a stimulator that is applied to the surface of the patient's neck to apply electrical impulses sufficient to stimulate a cervical vagus nerve, scalp electrodes that are used to measure EPs that are evoked by that stimulation, feedback or biofeedback circuits to vary the stimulation based upon EP characteristics, and other sensory stimulation modalities that produce EPs. The system is preferably used to optimize the placement of the stimulator, to test whether a patient is a suitable candidate for treatment using vagus nerve stimulation, and to select the stimulation parameters that optimized acute or chronic treatment, e.g., by correcting an EP habituation deficit.
