ELECTROCARDIOGRAM ANALYZING METHOD, ELECTROCARDIOGRAM ANALYZING APPARATUS, ELECTROCARDIOGRAM ANALYZING PROGRAM, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM STORED WITH THE ELECTROCARDIOGRAM ANALYZING PROGRAM
An electrocardiogram analyzing method includes: (a) acquiring electrocardiogram data representing an electrocardiogram waveform having heart beat waveforms; (b) acquiring RR interval data from the electrocardiogram data; (c) detecting at least one premature ventricular contraction causing a compensatory pause; (d) extracting, from the RR interval data, RR intervals during the detected premature ventricular contraction and before and after the detected premature ventricular contraction; (e) extracting a first RR interval group and a second interval group respectively from the RR intervals, wherein the first interval group includes the intervals before the premature ventricular contraction, and the second interval group includes the intervals after the premature ventricular contraction; (f) performing a predetermined frequency analysis on the first RR interval group; (g) performing the frequency analysis on the second RR interval group; and (h) comparing a first analysis result obtained by the step (f) and a second analysis result obtained by the step (g).
Systems and methods for neuro-EEG synchronization therapy
Described are methods, devices, and systems for a novel, inexpensive, easy to use therapy for a number of disorders. Described are methods and devices to treat disorders that involves no medication. Methods and devices described herein use alternating magnetic fields to gently tune the brain and affect mood, focus, and cognition of subjects.
Method of CMAP monitoring
A method and system for monitoring phrenic nerve function and preventing phrenic nerve injury during cardiac ablation. The system includes a pacing device operable to transmit stimulation energy to the phrenic nerve through target tissue proximate the phrenic nerve, a plurality of assessment electrodes operable to make comparisons between baseline, real-time, and predetermined threshold values for CMAP signal amplitude and amplitude over time. The processing device may be connected to an ablation console, and the processing device may interrupt or adjust an ablation procedure controlled by the ablation console and/or generate a system alert in response to one of these comparisons, if the comparison indicates phrenic nerve injury. The method includes applying stimulation energy to the phrenic nerve, recording diaphragmatic CMAP signals in response to the stimulation energy, and adjusting an ablation procedure and/or automatically generating a system alert in response to comparisons performed by the processing device.
System, method, and article for heart rate variability monitoring
What is provided is a system, method, and article of manufacture for detecting, monitoring, and tracking whether a user is in a more relaxed or stressed state by measuring the user's heart rate variability. The system has a heart rate monitoring device with at least one sensor that is configured to measure user heart rate. The system also has a mobile computing device, which may be configured to interact with the heart rate monitoring device for monitoring, tracking, and displaying a user's heart rate and mental stress level information. The method measures the user's heart rate information to calculate a measure of heart rate variability and to analyze whether peaks corresponding to activation levels of the user's parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) and sympathetic nervous system (SNS) exceed a predetermined threshold level within a predetermined time period.
NEUROMODULATION DEVICE
The present invention provides devices and methods that can prevent or ameliorate bronchoconstriction by stimulating neural activity, in contrast to those techniques based on denervation, ablation or blocking of neural activity. Methods and devices according to the invention may act responsively or on demand, can preserve neuronal structure and function and will be associated with minimal collateral side-effects. In particular, the invention provides devices and methods in which a signal is delivered to the vagus nerve, for example the cervical vagus nerve or the pulmonary branch of the vagus nerve, in order to stimulate neural activity in the vagal nerve.
Method and apparatus for stimulative electrotherapy
An electrical apparatus includes a battery, a circuit adapted to generate a periodic signal, and a wireless radio transceiver. The electrical apparatus further includes a control circuit adapted to set a characteristic of the periodic signal. The characteristic is received by an input of the wireless radio transceiver. The electrical apparatus further includes a first electrically conductive electrode adapted to electrically contact and puncture a first portion of a surface when the periodic signal is injected below the first portion of the surface. The periodic signal is coupled to the first electrically conductive electrode.
AIR-CONDITIONING CONTROL SYSTEM
This system correctly obtains a thermal sensation of a person in a room to provide a comfortable environment. A first parameter deriver derives, as a first parameter, a ratio of a low frequency component to a high frequency component in a variation of R-R intervals of a person, based on his/her body movement. A second parameter deriver derives, as a second parameter, any one of a coefficient of variation of R-R intervals, a respiration rate, or a heart rate of the person, based on the body movement of the person. An estimator estimates a thermal sensation of the person, based on the first parameter and the second parameter. A CPU for air-conditioning control controls an air-conditioning capacity of the air conditioner, based on a result of the estimation by the estimator.
Means and methods for facilitating trauma integration
An apparatus and method for diagnosing and/or treating autonomic dysregulation is disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, a user is presented stressful audio-visual content at a known time. The resulting amount of deviation of the user's autonomic nervous system from stasis is automatically quantified periodically subsequent to the presentation of the stressful audio-visual content by monitoring a parameter of the user's heartbeat over time, thus automatically measuring both the amount of disturbance in the user's autonomic nervous system, and the re-settling time of the user's autonomic nervous system for given stressful audio-visual content. The apparatus may then guide the user through one or more awareness exercises, and subsequently re-measure the user's response to stressful audio-visual content.
NEUROMODULATION DEVICE
The present invention provides improved devices, systems and methods to provide for control of bladder function. Aspects of the present disclosure relate to an apparatus, system and/or a method for modulating the neural activity of afferent fibres of the pelvic nerve to bladder function. In one aspect, the disclosure relates to the use of pharmaceutical compositions in patients undergoing neuromodulation therapy.
