SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MINIMIZING COGNITIVE DECLINE USING AUGMENTED REALITY
An exemplary device, according to the present disclosure, provides a housing, an AR lens, a projector, a memory, and a control system. The control system and memory determine when the user is confused. The control system then provides for projecting a reorientation graphic via the projector directed at the AR lens. In some implementations, the reorientation graphic provides real time information and reminders to a user as they proceed through life. The exemplary device enables a user to maintain greater independence and a more normal lifestyle with the assistance of the reorientation graphic.

An input circuitry for receiving electrode signals comprises: a plurality of channels for providing a multiplexed electrode signal input, each channel comprising a multiplexing switch for selecting one channel at a time, and an input transistor configured to be connected to an electrode, wherein the input transistor is configured to receive an electrode signal at a gate; and a reference input transistor, which is configured to be connected to a reference voltage at a gate; wherein an electrode signal received at a selected channel together with the reference voltage form input signals to an instrumentation amplifier; wherein the input circuitry is configured such that the input transistor of the selected channel forms part of a first flipped voltage follower and the reference input transistor forms part of a second flipped voltage follower.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MODULATION OF TRACTS IN NERVOUS TISSUE
An apparatus and method for generating magnetic field changes that more accurately conform to the tracts and regions of the brain that includes at least two coils for generating magnetic fields. Timing and/or phase of the magnetic fields generated by the at least two coils establishes relative perceived motion and/or directionality within the nervous tissue
Absence of Suspicion Test
A method of determining that an absence of suspicion of neurological injury is indicated in a subject is disclosed. The method involves prompting the subject to engage in three or more of the following neurological assessments: a) Reading Saccades, b) Near/far accommodation using Hart charts of different font sizes; c) Brock string, d) Maddox rod, e) closed-eye turns, f) Near Point of Convergence, and g) PERRLA with consensual reflex. The data from the neurological assessments is used to determine that an absence of suspicion of neurological injury is indicated in the subject.
NEURAL-NETWORK BASED ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHY MONITOR AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Systems and methods detect cortical arousal events from a single time-varying ECG signal that is obtained via single-lead ECG. A pre-trained deep neural network transforms the ECG signal into a sequence of cortical-arousal probabilities. The deep neural network includes an inception module, a residual neural network, and a long short-term memory neural network to identify structure in the ECG signal that distinguishes periods of cortical arousal from periods without cortical arousal.
Brain image data processing apparatus, brain image data processing method, and brain image data processing program
An object of the present disclosure is to improve setting accuracy of site regions in brain image data. A brain image data processing apparatus 100 includes: a brain image data reading unit for reading brain image data in which the site regions for identifying each site are set at positions corresponding to each site of a brain; a probability calculation unit for calculating a probability that each pixel is included in each site region based on a distance between each pixel and each site region for each pixel not included in any site region in the brain image data read by the brain image data reading unit; and a determination unit for determining which site region each pixel belongs to, based on the probability calculated by the probability calculation unit.
Non-invasive optical detection systems and methods in highly scattering medium
A non-invasive optical detection system and method are provided. Sample light is delivered into a target volume of interest, whereby the sample light is scattered by the target volume of interest, resulting in a sample light pattern that exits the anatomical structure. Reference light is combined with the sample light pattern to generate at least one interference light pattern, each of which may have a time varying interference component that integrates to a first value in the absence of the physiological event, and that integrates to a second greater value in the presence of the physiological event. Intensities of spatial components of each interference light pattern are detected during a measurement period. A function of the detected spatial component intensities of the interference light pattern(s) is analyzed, and a presence of the physiological event in the target volume of interest is determined based on the analysis.
System and method for outcome-specific image enhancement
A system and method for predicting an outcome specific signal (OSS) in test subject images. The method includes detecting the OSS in image data from outcome and control subjects; extracting a volumetric space containing the detected OSS and dividing the extracted volumetric space into a first set of sub-regions; determining a set of image features for the first set of sub-regions; determining a global feature set (GFS) by averaging the set of image features; utilizing a machine learning algorithm to select a subset of discriminant GFS to determine a best signal model (BSM) that distinguishes the outcome and control subjects; extracting volumetric space containing the target anatomy in test subject images and dividing the extracted volumetric space into a second set of sub-regions; and determining the subset of discriminant GFS at each of the second set of sub-regions, and using them in the BSM to generate the predicted OSS.
