HEADSET INTEGRATED INTO HEALTHCARE PLATFORM

Embodiments are related to a headset integrated into a healthcare platform. The headset comprises one or more sensors embedded into a frame of the headset, a controller coupled to the one or more sensors, and a transceiver coupled to the controller. The one or more sensors capture health information data for a user wearing the headset. The controller pre-processes at least a portion of the captured health information data to generate a pre-processed portion of the health information data. The transceiver communicates the health information data and the pre-processed portion of health information data to an intermediate device communicatively coupled to the headset. The intermediate device processes at least one of the health information data and the pre-processed portion of health information data to generate processed health information data for a health-related diagnostic of the user.

Sensorial electronic device for the rehabilitation of patients with Parkinson's disease

This invention refers to a device that reduces and counteracts human motor symptoms (tremor in the upper limbs, muscular stiffness, bradykinesia or slowness in movements, postural disruptions, Parkinsonian walking and freezing in the walking) caused by Parkinson's disease. The device produces vibration by means of a micro-motor that can be modulated in time, speed and power. A laser diode generates a light that is projected in the ground in the form of a horizontal line, a Bluetooth module communicates this device with different intelligent electronic devices and with applications. These components are powered by a rechargeable handheld power source. The components are powered by a rechargeable handheld electric energy source.

DETECTION OF PARALYSIS, WEAKNESS AND/OR NUMBNESS IN A PART OF A BODY OF A SUBJECT

There is provided a system (100) for detecting paralysis, weakness or numbness. A processor (102) acquires data obtained by a sensor (106) of a personal care device (104) used by a subject on a first part of their body and compares this data to reference data obtained by the sensor used by the subject on a second part of their body to determine whether the acquired data comprises an abnormality. The acquired data is indicative of a manner in which the subject used the device on the first part and/or a physiological property of that part. The reference data is indicative of a manner in which the subject used the device on the second part and/or a physiological property of that part. The processor detects paralysis, weakness or numbness in the first or a third part of the body of the subject when the acquired data comprises an abnormality.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR NON-CONTACT MEASURING MOMENTUM BY USING IR-UWB RADAR

The present invention can provide an apparatus and a method for non-contact measuring momentum, the apparatus and the method being capable of quantitatively measuring the dynamic activity and static activity of a subject by using a plurality of IR-UWB radars and, particularly, capable of measuring, in real time, some activities of the human body and general activity of the human body by distinguishing moving activity of the subject from non-moving activity. Therefore, the activity of a subject is non-contact measured so as to minimize user inconvenience, thereby facilitating performance of an ADHD test even for a subject in a young age group, and thus ADHD can be diagnosed early.

Systems and Methods for Cognitive Diagnostics for Neurological Disorders: Parkinson's Disease and Comorbid Depression

A system for diagnosing a neurological disorder, Parkinson's Disease, and a comorbid mental health condition, major depressive disorder is provided. The system comprises a smart device and a device including a memory and a processor. The smart device allows a participant to perform a cognitive task and the device receives data collected from the smart device in connection with the cognitive task performed by the participant. The device determines whether the participant has Parkinson's Disease based on the data collected and via a classification algorithm. If the participant has Parkinson's Disease, the device determines whether the participant has comorbid major depressive disorder.

Driver condition estimating device, driver condition estimating method and computer program therefor

A driver condition estimating device includes circuitry configured to measure movement of the head of a driver from output of a driver camera and detect a sign of abnormality of the driver from the movement of the head. On condition that lateral acceleration acting on the head of the driver is a predetermined value or less, the circuitry is configured to calculate a periodic feature amount from time series data showing the movement of the head of the driver, calculate a time series variation pattern from the obtained periodic feature amount, and compare of the obtained time series variation pattern with a predetermined threshold.

Apparatus and method for providing information on parkinson's disease using neuromelanin image
11207019 · 2021-12-28 · ·

The Parkinson's disease information providing apparatus using a neuromelanin image according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes an image receiving unit which acquires an MRI image obtained by capturing a brain of a patient; an image preprocessing unit which preprocesses the acquired MRI image to observe the neuromelanin region used as an image bio marker of the Parkinson's disease; an image processing unit which analyzes the preprocessed MRI image to classify a first image including the neuromelanin region and detects the neuromelanin region from the classified first image; and an image analyzing unit which diagnoses whether the patient has the Parkinson's disease by analyzing whether the detected the neuromelanin region is normal.

Implantable Living Electrodes And Methods For Use Thereof

In one aspect, the invention comprises an implantable living electrode comprising a substantially cylindrical extracellular matrix core; one or more neurons implanted along or within the substantially cylindrical extracellular matrix core, the one or more neurons including one or more optogenetic or magnetogenetic neurons proximal to a first end of the implantable living electrode.

AUGMENTED REALITY DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR EVALUATION AND MODIFICATION OF NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS, INCLUDING VISUAL PROCESSING AND PERCEPTION CONDITIONS

In some embodiments, a display system comprising a head-mountable, augmented reality display is configured to perform a neurological analysis and to provide a perception aid based on an environmental trigger associated with the neurological condition. Performing the neurological analysis may include determining a reaction to a stimulus by receiving data from the one or more inwardly-directed sensors; and identifying a neurological condition associated with the reaction. In some embodiments, the perception aid may include a reminder, an alert, or virtual content that changes a property, e.g. a color, of a real object. The augmented reality display may be configured to display virtual content by outputting light with variable wavefront divergence, and to provide an accommodation-vergence mismatch of less than 0.5 diopters, including less than 0.25 diopters.
