The method includes positioning a head-mounted display on the user's head, the head-mounted display placing the user in a virtual or augmented reality environment; presenting the subject with a software-generated object in the virtual or augmented reality environment; providing instructions directing the user to execute one or more sensorimotor activities relating to the software-generated object within the virtual or augmented reality environment; recording data during execution of the one or more objectives; and determining if there is a neurological impairment based upon the recorded data. The device includes a head-mounted display, one or more processors, and one or more hardware storage devices having stored thereon computer-executable instructions which are executable by the one or more processors to display a virtual immersive environment in the head-mounted display.

Imaging and Treatment Methods for Early Detection of Diseases
20220313171 · 2022-10-06 ·

This invention relates to disease detection by imaging and treatment of virus infection. Previously, there was no way to use CEST MRI imaging to early detect and map the neurodegenerative diseases, multiple sclerosis disease, concussion, and traumatic brain injury. Also, previously, there was no way to use Computed Tomography (CT) imaging to early detect and map the neurodegenerative diseases. Embodiments of the present invention use a non-invasive CEST MRI imaging method is disclosed for early detection of diseases by using MRI or by using CT. The endogenous (MRI) contrast of the biological tissue can rely on the endogenous protons of the proteins and peptides as a source of the contrast, such as hydroxyl, amine, and amide protons, and thereby provide imaging and mapping for the early detection of the neurodegenerative diseases, multiple sclerosis disease, concussion, traumatic brain injury, and other diseases by using endogenous protons contrast via CEST MRI. Also, the exogenous agents can be used to produce MRI contrast, such as agents contain exchangeable protons and thereby provide imaging and mapping the inflammation in cancer and the expressed proteins in cancer cells for cancer detection. Also, using exogenous CT contrast agents for detection of amyloid beta, tau protein, alpha-synuclein protein, and aggregation proteins in neurodegenerative diseases and inflammation in many diseases such as neurodegenerative diseases, cancer and other inflammatory diseases Also, this invention relates to novel methods of treatment virus infection and enhance the immune system to produce antibodies against the viruses.

System and method for automatic recognition for hand activity defined in unified Parkinson disease rating scale

There is included an apparatus and system including image segmentation code, configured to cause at least one hardware processor to segment an image of a person's hand from an input image, and classification code configured to cause the at least one processor to classify the segmented image of the person's hand according to at least one predefined pose.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATING NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS IN PARKINSON DISEASE SUBJECTS
20220288312 · 2022-09-15 ·

Systems and methods are provided for treating a condition associated with a Parkinson's disease (PD) subject, for example for treating or ameliorating motor and/or nonmotor symptoms or disorders in Parkinson's disease patients. An example system may include a sleep sensing circuitry and a drug dispensing device. The sleep sensing circuitry may be used to detect a sleep pattern of a PD patient, and the drug dispensing device may be used to continuously deliver a therapeutically effective compound to the PD patient based on the sleep pattern. Operational parameters of the drug delivery device (e.g., drug delivery flow rate and drug delivery timing) may be pre-programmed prior to bedtime and/or be adjusted in real time, for example during sleep, based on the detected sleep pattern to treat a condition associated with the PD subject, for example to optimize sleep, improve sleep quality, ameliorate non-motor disorders in the treated PD patient, etc.
