Technique for identifying cognitive function state of user
Disclosed is a method of identifying, by at least one processor of a device, a cognitive function state of a user. The method may include inputting user information, at least one voice data, and speech time information related to the at least one voice data to a cognitive function state identification model, and identifying a cognitive function state of the user based on first output data that is output by the cognitive function state identification model.
Brain dysfunction evaluation system, brain dysfunction evaluation method, and program
A system for evaluating a degree of brain dysfunction of a subject, such as a decline in cognitive function, calculates a difference in movement functions between both hands in a coordination movement. The system includes a storage device for storing time-series data on a finger movement task of each of both hands of a test subject acquired by a movement sensor; a data processing device for analyzing the time-series data stored in the storage device; and a display device for displaying an analysis result analyzed by the data processing device. The data processing device includes a movement waveform generation unit for generating a movement waveform corresponding to the time-series data stored in the storage device; and a difference-between-hands feature quantity generation unit for generating a difference-between-hands feature quantity which represents a difference in respective finger movement tasks between both hands, based on the respective movement waveforms of both hands.
PLATFORM AND SYSTEM FOR DIGITAL PERSONALIZED MEDICINE
The digital personalized medicine system uses digital data to assess or diagnose symptoms of a subject to provide personalized or more appropriate therapeutic interventions and improved diagnoses. The use of prioritized questions and answers with associated feature importance can be used to assess mental function and allow a subject to be diagnosed with fewer questions, such that diagnosis can be repeated more often and allow the dosage to be adjusted more frequently. Pharmacokinetics of the subject can be estimated based on demographic data and biomarkers or measured, in order to determine a treatment plan for the subject. Also, biomarkers can be used to determine when the patient may be at risk for experiencing undesirable side effects and the treatment plan adjusted accordingly.
METHOD FOR DETECTING A CONVERSION FROM MILD COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT TO ALZHEIMER DISEASE
A data processing method for detecting the conversion from mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to Alzheimer disease (AD), allowing objectively quantifying the effects that this has on the patient's electroencephalogram (EEG). The method of the invention provides an objective criterion for monitoring the brain health status of MCI subjects, which goes alongside the other criteria of neurological, psychological, clinical and cognitive assessment normally provided by the evaluation protocols of these patients.
METHODS OF DETECTING NEURODEGENERATIVE DISEASE
Among the various aspects of the present disclosure is the provision of a method for detecting neurodegenerative diseases, disorders, or conditions. Briefly, the present disclosure is directed to a non-invasive method for measuring foveal area and thickness, which has been shown to correlate with the detection of biomarkers used in the detection of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and clinical dementia.
Method of Detection of Neurodegenerative Diseases by Breath Analysis
Analysis of a breath sample is a noninvasive point-of-care tool with ever increasing clinical applicability. Herein we describe a method to analyze the content of low-level, trace volatile organic compounds from alveolar breath captured as a breath sample from a patient. The breath sample is then analyzed using a gas phase analysis methodology, such as gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (GCMS), to generate an analysis result, such as a GCMS spectrum. A computer system is then used to develop a fingerprint pattern from the analysis result. The fingerprint pattern is then used to determine a patient status for the patient. The fingerprint pattern is typically a grouping of 75 to 450 compounds of known concentration which are indicative of a particular neurodegenerative disease.
Method and system for correlating an image capturing device to a human user for analysis of cognitive performance
A method capturing eye movement data for detection of cognitive anomalies, includes a computer application displaying a frame on a display, capturing and displaying a video image of a user's face and eyes, while the user aligns the face to the frame, capturing and processing the face image to initiate an image eye movement capture process, outputting an indication on a display and moving the indication spatially to one of a plurality of images, capturing a video of each user eye, to track the position of the indication of the display, the image of each eye comprising a sclera portion, an iris portion, and a pupil portion, parsing the video to determine a reference images corresponding to eye positions, capturing the user's eyes while the user views familiar and novel images, and correlating the images of the user's eyes to the familiar or novel images using the reference images.
Water profile used to detect malfunctioning water appliances
A system is provided for determining whether a specific water appliance is malfunctioning. The system may comprise at least one processor configured to detect, from at least one sensor in a distributed water infrastructure upstream of the plurality of water appliances, a plurality of normal water usage profiles; associate at least one of the plurality of profiles with each of the plurality of appliances; detect at least one current water usage profile; and compare the at least one current profile with at least one of the stored profiles to determine a corresponding identity of an associated appliance and to determine if a deviation exists between the stored profile for the identified appliance and the at least one current profile. The deviation may be reflective of a potential malfunction in the associated appliance. The system may initiate remedial action if the deviation, reflective of a potential malfunction, is determined.
Systems and methods for low-power near-field-communication
Systems and methods for using near-field inductive coupling between an implanted system and an external transceiver are discloses. In several embodiments, the data link system is based on a free-running oscillator tuned by coupled resonators. The use of an oscillator-based power link can allow for stable power over different inductor distances, or coil distances. In some embodiments, the data link system includes receivers on both sides of the link, where each receiver is composed of a detector, such as but not limited to an analog front-end (AFE), and a clock and data recovery (CDR) loop.
ELECTROGUSTOMETER
An electrogustometer comprises an interface (4) capable of receiving a stimulation instruction, and a current generator (8) arranged to produce a stimulation current. The interface (4) is arranged to obtain a digital command from the stimulation instruction, and the electrogustometer further comprises a digital-to-analogue converter (6) suitable for converting the digital command into a DC voltage, the different digital commands inducing discrete respective voltage values. The current generator (8) is arranged to convert the DC voltage into a stimulation current with a strength of between 0 and 250 A, depending on the discrete voltage value, and varies by fixed steps of between 0.05 A and 1 A.
